Katherine (Katie) Brendli is a resident of Midlothian, Virginia and is studying Special Education in hopes of becoming a high school teacher for students with autism. Her passion to write was inspired by her grandmother and author Arlene Carruthers and was encouraged by many of her family and teachers. The idea of Katie’s first book, Left, came to her at the age of twelve and was further developed once she reached college. Katie is dedicated to a lifelong devotion of writing and hopes her actions can encourage other young writers to pursue their dreams of becoming authors.
