Lauren Summers is the stable sister, the one who runs the family company while her sisters take off and travel the world. One weekend a year she hides herself away and mourns a love she lost six years ago. That weekend is now, except she’s being whisked away to a mysterious island despite her protests. After being pampered with luxury, massages and the best chocolate a girl could taste, she starts to realize that its time she left the past behind and moved forward with life, and maybe with love. What she doesn’t know, is that someone from her past has other ideas…

This was a good audiobook as such but being the third in the series, the storyline got a bit repetitive for me. And the whole setting felt a bit too good to be true.
But if you’re looking for a short summer romance audiobook, this is alright as it is also quite a short one.
Lauren, the eldest of triplets, fell in love while traveling in France six years ago. She was suppose to meet back up with Marc after a leg of her journey was complete. She goes back to meet him and he wasn't there, before she can find out why she finds out her parents have been in a very bad accident and she needs to go home. Now six years later she still mourns that love lost. Every year on that anniversary she mourns that loss and she remembers him and what they shared. Marc has spent the last six years remembering Lauren and what he threw away. He just found out his best friends are also best friends with Lauren. He wants another chance with her and a chance to explain. So he is going to Eden and has sent her an invitation also. When she receives the invitation she is shocked she has dreamed of going there. Then she thinks the invitation might be for her sister she goes to the airport to explain her sister is not available and finds out the invitation is for her. Lauren and Marc come face to face an Lauren gets some answers that she has needed for closure. Will she accept his explaination? Will she find her closure so she is not stuck in the past? I loved this book it had me laughing and in shock several times.
The setting reminds me of that old TV series, Fantasy Island, though readers might never meet “the Master” as they read Steena Holmes’ romantic novella, Return to Sender. Triplet Lauren works with her sisters planning perfect vacations for weddings, honeymoons and more. But all the time, as soul-mates enjoy her aid, Luaren tries to forget the soul-mate she left behind.
Six years ago Lauren’s perfect relationship with Marc fell apart, but nothing can drive him from her heart. A perfect surprise vacation in Eden offers possibilities though. Perhaps it will finally help. Or it just might change everything.
Chocolate abounds in this short sweet tale. Handmade chocolates; perfectly made chocolates; and chocolates with messages printed on the box. But what matters, in the end, is who you choose to share those chocolates with. A enjoyable romance, with a richly sweet tooth, and a plethora of characters to feed a series or two, Return to Sender sends readers to a perfect fantasy island, with Greek gods and more than just desserts.
Disclosure: I was given a free ecopy and I offer my honest review.
I don’t get all the good reviews. This was a horrible pathetic excuse of a love story. Both main characters were immature pitiful pathetic people. She needed a spine and self respect and he needed to get over his mommy issues and grow the heck up. We weren’t ready??? You’re my soul mate? I’m not letting you go after he already did and did nothing to find her?? Seriously embarrassing. No just a big fat no to the whole thing. I am so sorry I wasted my time with this nonsense. Ugh. This might be one of the worst books I’ve listened to in a very long time.
2.5 This is a short, lite hearted second chance. The characters are interesting. The writing is easy to read and consume. I really enjoyed the narrators as they did a good job.
The story was short and I was left wanting more – more of the romance, more character development, just more. The story was ok.
Short, sweet and a wonderful getaway to an exclusive and magical island that knows your heart’s true desire. Sun, beaches, massages and chocolate in several forms. This second chance romance was a perfect escape from our current Covid-19 fears and anxiety. Just what I needed to face the months ahead. I really enjoyed the bodybuilding triplets, the island mystique and the virtual vacation.
Steena Holmes was another new to me author from this collection. Return To Sender is the same story as Sweet Return (the third book in the Sweet Love Series) except one of them has bonus material.
I didn't finish this story (quit at 84%). The reason why Marc stood her up six years ago boiled down to cowardice, among a few other things. Lauren had every right to demand answers and to understand his actions, and while I applauded his honesty regardless of how painful or detrimental it may be to their future, I got frustrated with Lauren for constantly running away as soon as she heard something she didn't like. She'd pined for him for six years, and she couldn't stand her ground and talk to him like an adult? By the time I'd given up on their story, she'd bolted two or three times. Talking to a random stranger opened her eyes, so I stopped there knowing they'd get their HEA. I just wasn't invested in their journey anymore. What I did read was okay, but I'm not compelled to pick up any other books from this author.
Even though this was a sweet romance, I thought it still fit in the Eden collection, after all the island makes wishes come true.
This is a wonderfully sweet and romantic novella. It takes place on an island that you can only go to by invitation only. The accommodations are top notch and the staff is there to make you as comfortable as possible and try to fulfill your every need. There are exotic drinks, delicious food, fine chocolates made especially for the island guests by a world famous chocolatier and a couple that had been separated for six years. Neither of them knew that the other was a guest there, but soon discover each other again. Will they get back together or will they realize that they were never meant to be together? Read this delightful book for the answers and be ready to be swept away by this exotic island getaway. Congratulations to Steena Holmes, this book definitely deserves 5 stars!
I got this book free from the author for an honest review.
It was a sweet story of a love almost lost. The main characters, Lauren and Marc, have been apart for six years. Lauren is sent to Eden for a much needed vacation where Marc, unknown to her is there waiting for her. She tends to run away from him a lot but eventually does listen to what he has to say and realizes that she is still very much in love with him.
It was a good story with love winning out in the end. Much to short but a very sweet story. I would love for this to be a longer book with more about Lauren and Marc's lives. But overall it was very good.
Steena Holmes is a very good author and this is just another story to prove that.
I gave it a 4 star rating because I liked it, just wished it was longer. :)
Return to Sender I received this novella free in return for my review. It’s a cute love story about Lauren and Marc. They have been apart for six years, Lauren has been missing him and always thought of him as her soul mate. An invitation arrives to a dream island and Lauren almost does not go thinking it was meant for her sister. You’ll need to read the story to find out what happens I can’t say more in fear I will give away too much. Great story Steena!
"All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt." I love this book! I loved the characters, the story, absolutely everything! What an amazing love story this is. Incredibly well written. Wonderful character development for such a short, sweet book. It's making me crave chocolate! Steena is a wonderful storyteller. I highly recommend this book for all romance lovers! Xoxox
I like this book its got fanstacy, sex and sexy Marc. Lauren is a triplet and is sent an invitation to Eden but she thinks its for her sister so she is disappointed but she gets duped into going on the plane and lands in Eden where she meets her ex Marc and thats were it begins he has to find a way to make it up to her for not meeting her 6 yrs ago and as the island say "It knows what you need"
This was a very fun summer read. The main character Lauren is full of life & it is wonderful to read about her experience on the island. The chocolate might make you crave some but you'll definitely crave mire of this great story. Go Steena!
Great book, this is the first Eden book I have read and I am intrigued by this mysterious island. I loved catching up with some other characters from Steena's books and getting the story of Marc and Lauren. Great short read!!
did I ever mentioned how annoying it is to start a book and all these names are thrown at you as if you should km now who they are? Well all it does is cause me to skip that book and this was that book
Sweet Return was a good novella which was Lauren and Marc' s story and was centered around the theme of soulmates and finding each other again. It was a well written fast read that I will give five out of five stars.
Lauren and Marc's story is beautiful. After losing him 6 years ago she never thought she would see him again. When they meet up again their lives will change. You won't be able to stop reading this book.
