Fun, romantic stories, all have pets centered in the stories, one barely had any animal interaction but it was still a good story. There are ghost stories, rescue stories, and even reincarnation. I enjoyed them all, some more than others, three I loved and plan to follow up with more books from those authors. This package deal was too good to pass up at 99 cents, I had to give it a go. Then to find out they are full length books, and well written ? Well now that was a deal plus. Don't miss this set. you will be happy you got it. I already purchased the second series halfway through this.

Must Love Pets Boxed Set
Seven Books by Seven Authors
The Girl with the Cat Tattoo by Theresa Weir
Max the cat is the main character in this story and the reader sees most of the story through his point of view. Max decides to find his mistress a new mate. Her late husband who Max had belonged to, had died. This decided, Max goes to find the perfect man for her.

I just loved this story. The author does include the point of view from Melody and Joe, but mostly Max. If only a cat could talk the things he would say. Like how he wanted to reunite with his brother and sister. And the other secrets he knows. This is a shorter review but I just don’t want to give anything away. The next book is Geek with the Cat Tattoo and it has Melody’s sister and Max’s brother in the book. Cool Cat Series book one.

Groomed For Murder by Zoe Dawson
Brooke Palmer has worked hard to establish her dog spa, Pawlish. Now one spoiled rich woman with a spoiled poodle wants to ruin her because of her uncontrolled dog. When threatened by a lawsuit and the hunky lawyer who is trying to settle out of court, she still refuses to give in. To the court case that is, it’s hard not to give in to those stunning green eyes and silky blond waves. Just when she thinks things can’t get any worse, they do.

Drew Hudson has worked hard since his parents death. He has his sister to take care of and even if it means working at something that he don’t enjoy, tough. He’ll do anything to become a partner in the law firm. Even take a case for the bosses wife, getting some woman to settle the case of a bad dog haircut out of court. He is going to use all his charm to manipulate this woman. Or so he thought. A kind hearted woman and her dog remind Drew who he use to be. But can he ever go back to that person?

The first book in this series is Leashed. The books are about four friends who have met at the local dog park. They are all unique with special dogs ranging from a Great Dane to a prized poodle with a bulldog and two very mischievous Jack Russell’s in between. They are filled with humor and friendship with a added dose of sensual heat and you may even need a few tissues handy. Going to the Dogs Series book two.

It's a Dog's Life by Dale Mayer
Ninna Bradford finally landed a job after being out of work for way too long. It’s working at a pet center where they have medical facilities, adoptions and dog training. She’s never owned a pet, but surely she can learn about them. And the handsome young vet isn’t hard to be around either. If only the big old basset hound would stop talking to her. She’d been through so much counseling to stop the voices and now when she finally has a good job, she seems to be going crazy.

A great story with a touch of mystery along with a bit of romance. Hard times have hit their town and someone is busy with breaking into the homes around her. And it seems he’s taken to watching Ninna. Maybe she needs to find a dog of her own, one that doesn’t talk to her and drive her crazy. Although, Mosey is starting to grow on her a bit.

Christmas at Angel Lake by Edie Ramer
Maddie Barrymore didn’t mean to become a squatter. And stay one. A stormy night, a tiny kitten and opportunity blended together into a perfect situation. Five years passed before the owner arrived to reclaim his home and hold her fate in his hands.

Logan MacLeesh couldn’t get past his self-pity. His writing had dried up and so had his heart. Ten years with his dark queen and she left him. When he arrives at his grandmother’s home in Wisconsin he wanted to be alone in his misery, only it’s not to be. A squatter and her young son along with their cat had taken over the house and before long, they took over a part of him as well.

What a great story. A side story is a dog looking for his real owner, an owner Dog has never met. We see through his eyes and thoughts as he travels towards the smell of the one human meant for him. Will he make in time? If your eyes water a bit while reading a good story...you’ll want some tissues nearby for this one. Rescued Hearts Series book two.

The Mutt and the Matchmaker by JB Lynn
Jane Bly wanted to find someone who would love her, the kind of love her parents had. When she calls her insurance company and the lady on the other end tells her she can find her the perfect man...Jane decides it’s worth a try. Armani Vasquez ends up to be quite the matchmaker indeed.

Tom Hanlon isn’t hunting for a woman like the matchmaker thinks, he’s hunting for a thief. Someone in Aunt Ruby’s neighborhood has been busy robbing the neighbors. Who is a more likely suspect than the neighborhood pet sitter?

What a great story. I loved Calamity the shy dog and the image of a tough guy with a tiny pampered pooch. The author also did an excellent job of leading the reader from one guilty looking suspect to the next. It looks as if more books may follow in this series of Armani the psychic matchmaker.

The Man, The Dog, His Owner & her Lover by Candace Carrabus
Stephanie O’Hanlon has focused so hard on her career for so long that she has missed everything along the way. Things like love and happiness. Losing her job and a trip to the pound with her friend changes life as she knows it. Taking home the huge dog she calls William the Conqueror has her noticing life in a very different way.

Gabe Fagen has been waiting a long time for Stephanie to slow down. After all these years will she finally see what is right in front of her eyes? Or is a dog going to come between them?

This is an enjoyable shorter story that was an easy read. There is more to this dog than meets the eye, much more. Could Stephanie really had known this dog as a man in some past life?

Walk in Beauty by Barbara Samuel
Luke Bernali had once loved a woman and no other woman had ever been able to replace her. But she had left him and truth be told when he looked back, he had made some bad choices. Eight years since he last saw her, they unexpectedly meet face-to-face.

Jessie Callahan did all she could to teach her daughter, Giselle, about her Navajo roots. As she worked on a project to help get the Indians more money from the galleries selling their homemade items, she ran into the one person she had been trying to put behind her. Only she never really could, not when she saw that very man in her daughter every day.

Lost love, secrets and danger make this an exciting read. Two people who love each other but are too afraid of the past to give their love a second chance. Not to mention they have an unknown enemy threatening them if they don’t stop their fight for fair wages. Originally published by Silhouette under the name Ruth Wind. Rainslinger continues the story of Daniel who was Luke’s childhood friend and Jessie’s adult best friend.

A collection of good to outstanding novels including memorable pets. I had already read and enjoyed several of the stories and enjoyed all of the new ones. I will be following the new authors I discovered in this collection.

the only reason this is 2 stars is because of Theresa Weir's story. Which is also the reason I bought the set - and it was $.99.
The rest of the stories were pretty bad and I did not read the last one.
But I loved the Girl with the Cat Tattoo - well worth the $.99.

This is a collection. I entered all of them separately, as well. Some I gave 5 stars and some 4, but overall a 4 for the whole collection. Some were cute and some were a little goofy, but all in all fun reads.

The Girl with the Cat Tattoo by Theresa Weir
Loved this book! It's a cute romance with a little bit of mystery and danger to it. The story had substance to it and had me hooked for the entire book. This book features Joe, Melody, and her cat, Max as the central characters. Max is a cat on a mission: find the right man for his mistress. He has character and is very entertaining. Melody is sweet and quirky. She's a children's librarian who goes all out for story hour, absolutely adores her cat, and has had a propensity to let loose a little too much ever since her husband was killed. She takes Joe off-guard. Joe has gotten himself into a predicament by coming to care so much for Melody; he's stuck lying to her about something that might completely scare her off: his job. This book is a sweet romance and also comical, a lot of which emanates from Max's shenanigans. It has a HEA ending with no cliffhanger. I am super excited to read Geek with the Cat Tattoo, book 2 in the Cool Cats series! 5 stars.

Groomed for Murder by Zoe Dawson
The second book in Dawson's Going to the Dogs series, this one tells the story of Brooke, her dog Roscoe, and Drew. While Roscoe wasn't as central as Max was in the previous book, he still played a central role in the book. This book had more sex than it's predecessor, Leashed, but nothing raunchy. Brooke, a dog salon owner, is kind-hearted and giving. She thrives when helping others and is all give and no take, caring more for everyone else than she does for herself. While she's a strong woman, she fears abandonment. Drew is the lawyer sicked on her by a disgruntled, irrational, overly self-important customer with an equally irritating (and vicious) dog. His main task is to get her to settle out of court. Drew's plan goes completely awry, however, when he starts to fall for Brooke. One thing I have loved so far about this series is the closeness of Brooke's group of friends. The books have put a lot of emphasis on relationships, whether those be friendly, familial, or romantic. I find Poe in particular hilarious and cannot wait to read her story next in Hounded. This book absolutely has a HEA ending with no cliffhanger. 5 stars.

It’s a Dog’s Life by Dale Mayer
This book was light-hearted, funny, and cutsie featuring Stuart, Ninna, Mosey, and Jane. Stuart is the attractive vet at the animal shelter where Ninna has just gotten a job. Jane is Ninna's best friend. Mosey is chatty, full of attitude, and loves gravy (though he never does get any). He also has Ninna thinking she's losing her mind and thinking a session with her therapist is desperately needed. This book doesn't have much in the line of actual romance in it. There is some flirting and suggestive language, but no physical romance. The romance between Stuart and Ninna never really gets started over the course of the book, but all signs point to one happening in the future. It was as if the story here is a lead up to their beginning to actually date. I have a hard time saying this book had a HEA ending, per say, as the "ever after" part of that is in no guaranteed. Regardless, the ending is very happy and looks toward a happy future for Stuart and Ninna. The book also ends without a cliffhanger. 4 stars.

Christmas at Angel Lake by Edie Ramer
I found this book to be quite different from the first book in the Rescued Hearts series, Hearts in Motion. Unlike the first book, where we got to see inside the heads of all of the pets, we never get to see anything from Ginger's perspective in this book. Additionally, Dog's story is a separate entity from Logan, Maddie and Zach's story until the very end. The parts told from his perspective mainly entail his journey to find his human. Logan is a famous movie producer/director who owns the house his grandparents used to live in. Maddie is the woman who has been living in this house for the past 5 years without his knowledge. She arrives there while pregnant with Zach by chance after having avoided hitting Ginger with her car on a stormy winter night. Ergo, these strangers meet under rather unusual circumstances and strike a rather unusual deal in regards to the living arrangements: she and Zach can stay in exchange for her telling Logan a story every night. Maddie is a sweet woman who has helped countless people during her 5 years living in Logan's house, whereas Logan is jaded with a preference for unhappy endings. This was a cute story featuring a HEA ending with no cliffhanger. I am very interested in reading the third book in the Rescued Hearts series, Crazy Sexy Love. 4 stars.

The Mutt and the Matchmaker by J.B. Lynn
This Matchmaker Mystery Novella is the first book in its series. It is a cute, rather quick read. It is a rather light story, nothing heavy and fast paced. Tom (a private investigator) and Jane (a professional pet sitter and Tom's prime suspect in a string of residential robberies) are brought together by the mysterious, enigmatic Armani (a psychic matchmaker). The story also features Tom's Aunt Ruby, his best friend, Brady, and Jane's best friend, Alyssa. The characters in the book all have their own distinct personality. Calamity, Jane's foster dog, does play a role in the story, but not nearly as much of one as the pets in the previous 4 books in the anthology. This was an enjoyable book with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger. 4 stars.

The Man, The Dog, His Owner & Her Lover by Candace Carrabus
I am honestly not entirely sure what to say about this book. It was odd. I don't know what this story really accomplished or what it was trying to portray in the first place. Stephanie loses her job and is then talked into getting William, a rescue dog with purported behavioral problems, by her best friend Heather. Mrs. Spangler and Mr. Weinperth are tenants in Stephanie's house, for which Gabe is also the handyman. Jean is Stephanie's therapist, who we only see at the very end, but is repeatedly mentioned throughout the book. William is, according to the psychic Heather, a lover from one of Stephanie's past lives and now she is having bizarre dreams. Somehow she diagnoses herself with PTSD, which is absolutely ridiculous. She does not have PTSD. I'm not positive whether Carrabus intended for that part to be taken seriously or not, but I really hope she didn't. The way Stephanie goes on about it and her reasoning (she has been acting different for the entirety of not even 2 full days) is ludicrous. If facing a loss of some sort and subsequently behaving not precisely like oneself for a few days is the criteria for PTSD (which it most definitely is not), I think much of the global population could be diagnosed with the illness at some point or another. The way in which the subject of mental illness is treated in this book is rather insulting, to say the least. Overall, I was not very impressed by this book. While things seem to end a little bit up in the air, there isn't exactly a cliffhanger. In that same vein, I guess I could say there was a HEA ending. I generously give this book 2 stars.

Walk In Beauty by Barbara Samuel/Ruth Wind
While this was a sweet story, I'm not entirely positive how it came to be included in this anthology. Yes, it included some pets, but they were in no way central or necessary to the story as a whole as they were in the other books. The book revolved around Luke, Jessie, and Giselle, with Marcia and Daniel also playing important roles. While perhaps not really deserving a place in this anthology based on subject matter, the book did have a HEA ending without a cliffhanger. I found the story interesting and really enjoyed it, so I would definitely be interested in reading the second book in the series, Rainsinger. 4 stars.

THE REASON I LOVE THIS BOX SET SO MUCH IS BECAUSE I LOVE FAIRYTALES. I STARTED LIFE BEING READ TO AS A SMALL CHILD BY BOTH MY PARENTS, MOSLY BY MY DAD. LOVE BROTHERS’ GRIMM FAIRYTALES. SIGH! WELL THIS BOX SET HAS A MODERN DAY FAIRYTALE FEEL; EACH HAS ITS OWN UNIQUINESS.

THE GIRL WITH THE CAT TATTOO
LOL FUNNY EVEN IF YOU’RE NOT A CAT LOVER (I happen to be one) YOU’LL L.O.V.E. THIS BOOK. MAXWELL IS ADORABLE EVEN IF HE DOES PREFER TO BE CALLED COOL, WHICH HE IS. I LOVED THE FACT IT WAS TOLD FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW WHICH WAS HILARIOUS.

GROOMED FOR MURDER
BROOKE IS A VERY SWEET AND LOVING WOMAN AND A LOT STRONGER THAN SHE LOOKS, SHES ALSO SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY AND LOVIN EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I WAS SURPRISED BY THE STORYLINE IT HAD A NICE MIX OF A VINDICTIVE WOMAN, A MYSTERY, A MURDER & SEXY-HOT ROMANCE.

IT’S A DOGS LIFE
I LOVED MOSEY HE WAS A VERY SMART/FUNNY DOG. NINNIA THINKS SHE IS LOSING HER MIND SHE HEARS VOICES (maybe she’s related to Dr. Doolittle). THIS SURE ENDED WITH A TWIST I DIDN’T SEE COMING. I LOVE WHEN THAT HAPPENS.

CHRISTMAS AT ANGEL LAKE
MADDIE WAS A SQUATTER IN A NICE HOUSE FOR ABOUT 5YRS, WHEN THE REAL OWNER SHOWS UP. I LIKED HOW THIS STORYLINE HAD ANOTHER STORYLINE GOING ON WITHIN IT. REMINED ME A LITTLE OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE FAIRYTALES WICKED WITCH AND ALL.

THE MUTT & THE MATCHMAKER
I LOVED THE PHYSIC/ MATCHMAKER ARMANI SHE WAS A VERY OUTSPOKEN WOMAN. I LIKED THAT SHE WAS A PHYSIC, ONE OF MY FAVORITE TV SHOWS WAS MEDIUM. ARMANI KNEW HER STUFF; THOUGH GETTING PEOPLE TO ALLOW HER TO GUIDE THEN INTO HAPPINESS CAN BE HARDER THAT IT LOOKS.
THE MAN, THE DOG, HIS OWNER & HER LOVER
GRIEF IS A STRANGE EMOTION, NOMATTER HOW YOU TRY TO ESCAPE IT, SOONER OR LATER IT CATCHES UP TO YA. YOU WILL GO THROUGH ALL THE STAGES, SOMETIMES YEARS AFTER YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD HANDLED IT.

WALK IN BEAUTY
ALCOHOLISM CAN DESTROY NOT ONLY THE ALCOHOLIC BUT EVERYTHING NEAR AND DEAR TO THEM. IT IS SAD THAT NO ONE KNOWS THEIR AN ALCOHOLIC UNTIL THEY TAKE THAT FIRST DRINK, WHICH BY THEN IT’S TOO LATE FOR THEM.

ALL OF THESE BOOKS HAD GREAT CHARACTERS PETS & HUMANS, HEARTWARMING, FUNNY, BIT-O-TEAR-JERKING, SEXY STEAMY LOVE, ROMANCE, MYSTERY, MURDER, FANTASY, RELATIONSHIPS, HEARTACHE, BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS , THE UPS & DOWNS OF LIFE LESSONS. I LEARNED ABOUT SO MANY THINGS WHILE READING ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT BOOKS, ESPECIALLY ABOUT ANIMALS.
I RECEIVED THIS BOX SET AS A FREE ARC FROM THE AUTHOR. LATER PURCHASED FROM AMAZON.

TOTAL OF 3.5 stars

Girl with the cat tattoo 3 stars
Very witty and cute. Didn't expect to begin the story from Max the cat POV but it totally worked and gave a unique aspect to this book. Could a
However, could have use a bit more development regarding Joe and Melody's relationship but in the end it all work.

Groomed for Murder 4 stars
Well, this was better. No animal POV but a group of 4 animal lovers girlfriends. And one of them is in danger of losing her animal-spa. Who would have thought salvation and love would come from the enemy side?
This book was a very nice read with interesting characters and surprises along the read as, when you think all is going well, catastrophe happens again!!

It's a Dog's Life 3 stars
HAHAHA I soooo didn't see that one coming!!! Great final really. As for the love story, well this is still in development by the end of the book but on the right track I would say. This was a fun short story.

Christmas at Angel Lake 4 stars
I loved this story!!! Not your usual intro, a woman lost in the blizzard who end up squatting a house for 5 years before coming face to face with the owner!! The chemistry between the two is quite scorching and the fact that they re-enact the 1001 nights tale is just so romantic.

The Mutt and the Matchmaker 3 stars
A cute story about a couple thrown together by a psychic (and a bit psychotic) medium. The dog-sitter and the P.I, it does have a nice ring :)

The Man, The Dog, His Owner & Her Lover 2 stars
Not much of a story here sadly. The initial idea of her past life's lover being reincarnated in her dog to protect her was very sweet but as for the rest, nothing worth saying really.

Walk in Beauty 3 stars
A beautiful story about healing, family and love mixed with tradition and cultural differences. Lacking a bit in term of action and suspense but not in emotions.

What a wonderful compilation of love stories! I like a little romance as much as the next girl, but the stories in Must Love Pets were so much more. The 7 stories, written by 7 different talented authors (Theresa Weir, Barbara Samuel, Dale Mayer, JB Lynn, Zoe Dawson, Edie Ramer, and Candace Carrabus) were heartwarming. At points I wanted to laugh and others I wanted to cry. A little bit of mystery, a little bit of love, a lot of humor, and all with an amazing input by our best friends, our cats and dogs. These stories were each one different except for the fact that the "pets" were central to each stories. Thank you ladies for a wonderful gift! I look forwarding to checking out more stories from each of you!

This was a fun set of books for not just pet lovers and people who like stories with animals in them, but for romance lovers as well. This box set contains a bit of something for everyone - from contemporary romance to some paranormal/mystical elements, from light and fun to a bit angsty. No matter the story, you are guaranteed to have fun with the pets that are featured, and no matter if you are a dog lover or a cat lover, these animals steal the show!

I received a copy of this boxed set from the authors for an honest review.

WOW, what a great boxed set! This set has seven different authors and each of their stories will leave you wanting more. When I finished one book, I wanted to start the next one until I finished them all. Some of the authors in this set were new authors to me, and I will definitely be purchasing more of their books in the future. If you love animals, and fun stories then you need to buy this set! You will not regret it! I can’t wait to read more!
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Seven great stories from 7 talented Authors. From real pets to "angel pets" you will laugh and then cry as the authors capture your heart, weaving their magic! I was easily reading one right after another. It's true our pets love us unconditionally and I almost wanted to get up and go to a shelter to adopt another fur baby after reading this set, hmm maybe a Bassett Hound ;) I'm not saying anything more but you will adore that story! A great read on a lazy afternoon. A keeper for me and a great gift for your book buddies with fur babies!

What a Great box set! Had already read Groomed for Murder by Zoe Dawson and Loved it! SO this was an opportunity to meet some new (to Me) talent and read some laugh out loud, whimsical, romantic stories. And what an awesome assortment of cats and dogs! Captivated and enticed me until I was madly in Love with each one of them! Once I started a book - could not put it down till The End! Have already purchased more books by these amazing authors. Highly recommend!

It was a nice box set. A little bit for everyone. I wasn't sure about reading 8 books featuring animals, thankfully only one was almost too sad of an animal story. While I didn't love every story in the set I did find a new favorite author - Theresa Weir with her Girl with a Cat Tattoo. Full review soon.

I really enjoyed most entries in this collection of novels.
The one I didn't like was the novella It's a Dog's Life - Dale Mayer. I bought this box as it was billed 'romances' and this is not a romance.
The ones I liked best were Girl with the Cat Tattoo by Theresa Weir (B), Christmas at Angel Lake by Edie Ramer (A), Groomed for Murder by Zoe Dawson (B), and Walk in Beauty by Barbara Samuel (A).

There is something for everyone with this set. Especially, if you are like me and love romance and pets. It was a great way to get introduced to seven different authors and romance styles. You get romance, pets, humor, mystery and some otherworldly elements.
