Loved it, but I was left wondering where things were going, and not feeling like some parts were properly tied up.

Hmmmm, Ren being a little mean to Kyoko about all the stuff that happened in the last volume. The dinner scene was hilarious though!

Kyoko tells Ren that she and Corn kissed. Setsu's time with her “brother” is up (Kyoko has to go back to filming her show), so she heads out. Unfortunately, Kyoko's show has been getting bad initial ratings.

When Kyoko finally learns that Ren is Corn, she's probably going to blow up, and I wouldn't blame her for it. Or she'll be hideously embarrassed, which would make me cringe in sympathy. I loved Ren's reaction to Kyoko telling him about having kissed Corn, but I hated that the scene was based on her still not knowing the truth about Ren/Corn.

Although I really enjoyed the direction the series seemed to be taking (which maybe factored into my final rating a bit too much – I'm not sure this volume deserved what I gave it), this volume felt like a very abrupt switch of storytelling gears. And no wonder – I just looked at my volume summaries, and I think the last time Kyoko worked on her current show much was maybe volume 28, almost 10 volumes ago. I had forgotten she even had any other work besides being Setsu.

But, like I said, I'm really looking forward to what might be coming up next. I want to see if Kyoko's show recovers from its low initial ratings, and I want to see what happens with And whoa, Sho was actually a pretty decent guy in this volume. And of course I'm still looking forward to seeing where things go with Ren and Kyoko. I'm glad that Kyoko's at a point where she can be in love with Ren (albeit semi-secretly) and yet not be so consumed by her feelings that she abandons her acting career for him.

Sampe keluar 2-3 chapter baru dibaca. Nevertheless, aku sih bakal tetep baca sampe tamat krn pgn liat Kyoko akhirnya jadian dgn Ren, yg mungkin sampe vol 50 baru kejadian kali ya? -___-
Untungnya sih skrg mama Kyoko uda dimunculin dan skrg lagi fokus di mama Kyoko di chapter 227, sementara hubungan Kyoko x Ren masih ngambang. Blm lagi masa lalu Ren masih gelap gulita gitu, misteri bgt lah pokoknya. Kyoko aja blm tau Ren itu Corn, apalagi tau masa lalu Ren itu gimana. Ini aja siapa papanya Kyoko pun Kyoko blm tau. Kyoko pun blm tau siapa papanya Ren. -____-
Inilah jadinya kalo sebuah karya terlalu populer, macam Detektif Conan, mangaka entah dgn inisiatif sendiri atau disuruh penerbit buat panjang2in ceritanya, ga berani tamatin komiknya.

Kalo Ren mau terus sembunyiin jati dirinya, kapan tamatnya komik iniiiii....

Not much going on in this one, bit it's a necessity between the arcs. Horrible to read this as an ongoing series, though...

I really love how in this we get to see just how much of a positive effect that Kyouko can have on others - even when she's not in the role of "therapy rooster" (who has been absent from this series for WAY too long :P). First, when we saw the effects of her conversation with Corn in Ren's new outlook on life, and then when she was able to give Chiori the kick-up-the-butt she needed to do the shoot after the accident (which was literally a "if it's because of the accident it's fine, but if you're just using the accident as an excuse to get out of doing something you don't want to do then it's NOT fine") and then go on the variety show.

We also seem to FINALLY be getting glimpses of Kyouko's mother, and we might actually get to see her FACE soon! She's "lawyer supervision" on a drama that it appears Moko will be performing in, which might mean that she's going to come face-to-face with Kyouko soon. AND she appears to be reading articles about her daughter's performances o.O

Great!

I’m enjoying seeing Kyoko’s character growth and maturity, and I want more of her connection with Ren. They are so stubborn about their feelings!

Loved this volume. Kyoko tells Ren about her encounter with her childhood friend. It surprises me how well he can pretend he doesn't know what happened when she was with Korn. She is heading back to Japan while Ren is finishing up and she is so cute worrying about him eating. She has a surprise visitor when she gets back to Japan. Sparks fly between her and her visitor. Also her mother is brought up in this volume. I am looking forward to reading the next volume!

I feel like this series is just using side arcs so they never have to finish the series. There is such a thing as too long. Get on with it already.

With her time in Guam coming to an end, Kyoko is going to miss playing Setsu and being around Ren but she is happy to be back in Tokyo.

On a new drama, Kyoko’s mom is the lawyer consultant. This is the drama that Kanae is starring in. I hope we see some interaction between Kyoko and her mother. Maybe they can finally talk.

Sho pays Kyoko a visit to talk about her mother and her passport.

This was such an exciting volume. I was hoping to be caught up before volume 43 arrived but that’s okay.

It was so funny when Kyoko conscience made her blurt out the kiss with Corn because she didn’t want to keep secrets from Ren.

Hearing girls in the van talk about her who was at the hotel, made her remember that Ren is not his real name and she wonders what his real name is. Will she ever find out who Ren really is? I really hope so.

Kyoko returns from Guam as she has to return to work on her own project, Box R. But ratings (unknown to Kyoko) have not been great, and the person she least wants to see is waiting for her when she gets back.

A significant improvement from the previous volume that still features a male semi-love interest acting like a jerk, but acting like a jerk with underlying good reasons, who does not want to take advantage of Kyoko's trust. The rest of the story is generally pretty good, with further complications to her Box R work and potential future plot threads handled well. The only real negative is the carry-over from the previous volume, which still taints the work, to be honest.

I’ve been waiting for all the volumes to be available together so I can binge read them and since this volume is due today the binging started this morning!

I think we are starting a new arc that stars Kyoko’s mom and I a little nervous because she basically abandoned her!

I think I finally realized the meaning of the Ren’s watch and why he changes it from one wrist to another.

So many good scenes but my favorite is when Kyoko is talking to Chiorin. It shows how Kyoko motives other people to be the better version is themselves.

On to the next volume

An inbetweener volume. Ren having a moment of clarity. Kyoko wrapping work as the Heel Siblings. The strangest Sho encounter that starts the mother arc. That ending frustrates me tho. I get that Kyoko is telling Chiori to only cancel the shoot if it's for the right reasons. It's good to be brave and do things that scare us. But this series is constantly putting ✨️acting✨️ ahead of well-being. For the drama and the genre and the story, I get it.

Like always, I Love it. I started this series when I was in the 7th or 8th grade, one of my friends at the time let me borrow the 1st book and I fell in love with it. Kyoko Mogami never fails to make me smile. She's loud, has a lot of personality, but most of all kind. The secondary characters are equally amazing. Especially Ren...he's such an amazing guy.

It was funny Ren making fun of Kyoko thinking back to the first kiss. Sho worries for Kyoko about a forced return to Kioto wanted by her mother. They will probably meet. Chiori asks Kyoko for help to overcome some fears.
