DESTINY BAY ROMANCES-ISLANDERS
Books 1-4 of The Islanders cover the tropical branch of the wealthy and powerful Carringtons of Destiny Bay. A Bad Boy comes home to protect the girl he always loved but could never have. A lover from the past returns to find his original visit resulted in creating something he had never imagined. A playboy learns to babysit and a ditzy blond runs away from her wedding and right into Max Carrington's reluctant arms.
Sometimes it does pay to go home again.

1. Saved By You
Kane Carrington can't resist a call for help from the girl he secretly loved in high school. He goes back to his Hawaiian home, only to find he's still the "bad boy" to her golden girl image. But now he's a man, not a boy and Annie Ventura can't resist him. But does he have to destroy her memories of her dead husband in order to seal the deal?

2. Found By You
Malia Carrington fell for Brad when they were teenagers. He left Hawaii without knowing she was carrying his son. Seventeen years later, he's back, and she's determined not to let him turn her life upside down a second time. If he finds out the truth, she knows he will take her son away with him--along with her heart.

3. Tempted By You
Pals--they're just pals.
And that's all they'll ever be. You see, Taylor Lee is still healing from a rotten childhood and Kai Carrington is trying to make a career out of skimming the surface of the good life. She's chasing success; he's obsessed with staying playboy single, but both hit the wall of doubt when they find twin babies on the doorstep. A crazy weekend with diapers and lullabies opens them to something new--including some sexy romance that goes way beyond being "pals". And when Taylor starts auditioning other guys as husband/father-of-twins material, Kai begins to panic. Doesn't he want to play that part himself? Maybe it's time to let his heart decide and turn his "pal" into a life partner.

4. Rescued By You
No wedding today, the bride's escaped!
Ashley Winters comes across as a ditzy blond, but her choice of hiding places is carefully thought out. Too bad Max Carrington, the absentee owner picks the same night to return to his vacation home as she picks to break into it. Complications ensue.
But no matter how much tough love dark, moody Max Carrington shows her, she knows she won't be going back to the wealthy crowd where she belongs. Max's Hawaiian style is much more appealing--especially when he mixes in some good old-fashioned sexy one-on-one attention. Time to plan a new wedding--one she might even show up for.

aka Jena Hunt and Raye Morgan.

Helen Conrad was born on April 11, 1945 in Pasadena, California, U.S.A. and grew up between Holland, Guam, and California, and spent a few years in Washington, D.C. as well. She obtained a B.A. in English Literature.

Helen was working toward a Master's in Library Science when she dropped out to have her first son. "One look into those baby blue eyes and I knew it was going to be a long time before I went back to school. But with young ones, you do have time to read, and the more I read, the more I learned about writing". She started writing because she felt guilty about spending so much time reading. "Through writing I figured I could still immerse myself in the stories I love, but I could actually claim I was working! The amazing thing was when I sold my first book and the excuse was justified. Dreams really do come true!"

After years of writing romantic suspense in the style of Mary Stewart and children's books in a lot of styles, she finally sold a romance to Jove's Second Chance at Love and there was celebration all around-at least in her ever-patient family of husband and four boys. She published four more romances for Jove under the name Jena Hunt, then began writing Silhouette Desires. A few sales to Bantam Loveswept and Harlequin Romance, Temptationand SuperRomance under the name Helen Conrad followed, as well as to Harpers, Dell Ecstasy, Mills & Boon, and even an historical with Zebra. Today, she is concentrating on Silhouette Romance, completely captivated by the breezy fun and touching poignancy of their compact, to-the-point form. She feels the perfect "quick read" should make the reader smile, sigh and put the book down feeling better about the state of love in the world.

Now, she lives in the Los Angeles area now with Nick, her geologist-computers cientist husband and the two of her four sons who still live at home."Having the boys around helps keep me up on the current trends," she says with a laugh. "But writing helps keep me in touch with the romance that weaves through the everyday lives we all live."

The Right Balance

This was an interesting box set to read. It was extremely detailed regarding the families making up the Carringtons . I loved the way the author interwove the characters. The storyline moved quickly and there was sufficient things happening, to hold your interest.

I couldn't even finish this book. I read the first two stories and had to quit. The stories were so slow, and the characters were not all that interesting. The characters did not carry over to the next book, I like keeping up with family members and this author didn't do that.

Great series

All of these books were good I was happy to see it put together as a set. I hate cliffhangers LOL
Love the island setting and the way the family all came together to help out.

Love in the Islands

The Hawaiian islands come to life in this series by Helen Conrad. I briefly lived on Maui many years ago and reading these stories made me want to go back so badly. Lush and inviting, the scenery provides the perfect backdrop for these tales of romance that will tug at your heart then reveal a shining rainbow at the end. Definitely worth reading!

Four shorter stories that had the same characters in them... Sort of so that was good. I thought the first two were more original than the second two. In fact the second two felt like the same plot. The characters were the redeeming factor though as you could root a d care for them.

Cute lite reading. No depth or deep thought required. That is not an insult. Sometimes something light is all you need or are looking for. This will fit the bill.

A nice read

This set was enjoyable. The love scenes weren't real graphic, just pleasurable. The characters were easy to relate to. A nice easy enjoyable set of books overall.
