Before the beginning, before the spell, before the prophecy, there was a curse. A curse to love. Julie has always loved Jarak, but what if he didn't feel the same? That was something she couldn't accept. Especially since she was getting ready to die for a witch who wasn't even born yet. After Julie's death, Jarak vowed to find Esmerelda and use her to awaken his beloved, but doing what is needed means he has to hurt his only family and lie to everyone about Esmerelda and her whereabouts. Could he ruin the love his brother has to keep his own for the woman who held his heart, even in death? He will never know his true feelings if he doesn't.
M.R. Polish has been writing since she was a young girl. She would tell her stories to anyone who would listen until she discovered she could put them onto paper.
Out on the ocean is her favorite place to be and would live on a cruise ship if she could, traveling the world, but alas, adulting and responsibilities keep her grounded.
M.R. is happily married to someone who would gladly follow her onto a ship and sail away. They have four kids, who might be more adventurous jet-setters than their mother.
Series: Wolf #0.5, prequel Category /Genre: Paranormal romance, short story Received from: Amazon purchase Recommended for: 18+ due Grammar/editing: A – near perfect
This is the prequel to a series with two other releases. They do need to be read in order. You do not need to have read the other two books prior to reading this prequel. I have not read the other two books in this series, but never felt lost as to who the characters were.
In order to save the world, Julie and four other witches will need to die during a spell to protect the baby who will actually save the world. The baby hasn’t even been conceived yet. Got that? Julie loves Jarak, but is worried that he can’t really love a plain-Jane like herself, so she prepares a love potion. She binds him to her so that he can’t love anyone else until her true death. Jarak’s brother, Ian, loves the baby, Esmeralda, again – before she’s even conceived! This is the twisted reality for immortals with precognitive prophecies. It makes sense and is perfectly natural to them.
The characters in this book are so richly described and brought to life. Julie and I would be great friends. I think we would understand each other. Though Jarak honestly loves her, Julie is so reluctant to believe, to trust. I get this. The fear of future abandonment can and has led to some pretty stupid decisions for her and for me. I know we are not alone in this. Will we learn from our pasts? Will we trust in the future? I hope so!
I loved this story. As a prequel, it has done its job. It has hooked at least one new reader. I need to know what happens next to this amazing group of people.
This is the first book that I have read from Ms. Polish. It will not be the last!
I read this after I read all the books. And I guess it doesn't matter I'm kinda glad I read it last it keeps the story a little more mysterious. The only thing I didn't like about this was.... it was a short story lol I wish I wasn't finished with this series. This book talks about how Jarak fell in love with Julia. And how she felt about everything from the start. There was even more information about what everyone really knew! I'd say leave this book for the end. It's better that way. It is a great short read and I'm hoping there is more to come by this brilliant author!! Now...on to her next book. I loved this series so much I bought all her books. ;) ya I'm sure it's worth it! Good reading!
This short story is really good. Julie is a witch and in love with a guardian. She doesn't think he loves her back so she puts a spell on him. The witches had to die to give their powers to a new witch that is not even born yet and Julie does not like that but ends up having to do it. Jarak is immortal and so are the witches but their spirits ended up locked in a grave for fifty years when they gave their powers up and died and he waited for her because of the love spell she put on him. The story ends in a cliffy, you need to read the next one to know if Jarak really loves Julie or if it was the love spell. I will definitely will be reading the next book.
A blast from the wolves past Wolf Love is a terrific companion novella to this series that I quickly became immersed in. I love these characters & their tale (no pun intended), & getting this extra background on them brought a big smile to my face. Julie is a stinker that's for sure, & I can't say that I feel too bad about her past 50 yrs. However I was intrigued to learn more about the witches & this went down. I would LOVE to see more of our wolves & witches come around soon!
Great story. I somehow started the series with this book and will now be reading from the beginning. My only problem is that I was 66% done with the story according to my Kindle yet the story was done. It was over way to quickly for me. Good character development and if definitely makes me want to read the whole series from the beginning. Thank you so much for getting me hooked on another paranormal series :)
This was a great read. I finished it in one sitting. It moved along at the perfect pace from beginning to end, has amazing characters and a story that will keep you interested and entertained from beginning to end. I am very glad that I read this awesome book.
I liked getting this little prequel. But what the fluff Julie?! Seriously she's not all there who thinks these ideas are okay? I was trying not to give any spoilers.
I have not seen anything so perfect as Dr. Oaikhen spell, I have always lived a life of a happy man but when my lover left me then everything about me changed, This was because I loved her so much and at times she was always part of my daily life. I was in pain for some days till I came across Dr. Oaikhen confidential details which led me to contact Dr. Oaikhen and through his help my lover who left me came back to me and right now she is more interested in me than before. These are some of the things you intend to benefit from when you contact Dr. Oaikhen through the following details via WhatsApp: at +229 5794 6279
This novella is a great addition to the Wolf Trilogy as it gives you more background on how Jarek and Julie fell love. This book does not need to be read in order with the other ones either. I actually read this one at the end and love it any way :)
This story helps explain what Julie did for love before the witches all died and how this affects what will happen in the future. Wolf Love is a great addition to the Wolf Trilogy and highly recommend it!
It was a great to read the story of what happened before the first book. If anyone wants to read the whole story I think it's best to start with this prequel.
