All About You

Rate this book
I start hating Oliver just after his older brother Christian’s death. I drag him down a road of humiliation and pain to try to cope with what his brother did to me.

A few months after Christian’s passing, Oliver leaves town, and for the next two years, he is absent from my life. The demons claw their way back in, and I must learn to live with the secret that has destroyed me.

Now I’m starting a new life, away from Gargle and away from my past, but everything crashes when I see Oliver the first day at university. It’s clear that many things have changed since we’ve been apart. Now he is captain of the rugby team and the most popular bloke on campus.

Then he makes a bet and gives me an ultimatum: I leave Braxton forever and start somewhere else, or I stay and play his game… because he’s never forgotten that it was me who ruined his life two years ago.

I have no clue how this book is getting four and five stars??? No clue!

This woman can not write for shit and there was so many mistakes, I was a little embarrassed for the author. It felt like a seven year old had wrote it... No wait, that feels like an insult to my seven year old daughter, she could probably write better than that.

Normally I would feel bad while writing a bad review but not with this one. I feel like the author must have been paying people for ratings or she has fifty goodread accounts and is doing it herself. There's no way all the dyslectic people in the world decided to read this book!

It's was rushed and to be honest, I'm more pissed off at the fact I was sure this book was going to be good. The blurb sounded awesome :( turned out to be yet another shower of shit!!

I adore love-to-hate stories… and I love an anti-hero/villainous character as love interest. So when I learned I could get the first ebook on Amazon for free, I downloaded it immediately.

This story started out with so much potential. And I was very intrigued for the first couple chapters. However, as I continued to read, I began to realize that this book was just not for me.

India Gretal moves away from her little suburban town in England to start at her university. On the first day, she runs into Oliver – a boy she was in love with… until she decided to make his life miserable. Well now Oliver is hotter than the sun/big man on campus. He makes it his mission to exact revenge on India for making his life a living hell after his brother Christian died – a brother that India was dating up until the time of his death.

Sounds good, right?

It might have been if it hadn’t been for a ton of flaws in the story. For one, India was so damn annoying! She falls for prank after prank after prank, hoping that Oliver will eventually lose interest in torturing her. She can’t blame him for being angry with her for all she did to him. She’s going to show him how sorry she is. He’ll understand her motives and he’ll forgive her in time.

I can’t even count how many times India got humiliated and then swore to herself that she and Oliver weren’t friends and never would be friends again. She HATES him!

*** 5 minutes later ***

“Maybe we can reconnect! I know he still has feelings for me!”

 photo Eyeroll-kandi-1_zpskxmbjg2t.gif

Oliver was just as much of a dick as he possibly could be. He had so many mood swings, I practically got whiplash from them! He wasn’t likable either. You can almost forgive him for some things because you know he was bullied by India for so many years… but that logic can only go so far. He was just too mean for me to root for him. He lacked personality. So did India.

I skimmed a lot of the last part of book because it was way too redundant and boring! The same scene would go on for page after page and nothing to further the plot would happen. I also didn’t like the lazy writing style. I don’t like being told an overview of what goes on in the story. ”First we went to the movies. Oliver said something funny. We got some popcorn. We agreed to hangout the next day. But I didn't feel good. So we decided to see each other in class instead.” *Cut to next scene with actual dialogue.*

AND WHO CAN JOIN A ROWING TEAM WITHOUT KNOWING HOW TO FUCKING SWIM?!?! Because yes… that did happen in this story.

The ending was a bit of a surprise, but not enough for me to read on. I just don’t care what happens between these two people. Especially after they’ve been so horrible to one another. And we all know what will happen at the end, don’t we?

1.5 stars I recommend reading Bully/Until You by Penelope Douglas instead (if you haven’t already). But like I said, this book is for free currently on Amazon, so if you want to try it out, maybe you'll enjoy it better than I did. *shrug*

3.5 stars.

I hate parts, serials, episodes, installments or whatever you prefer to call them.

It's hard enough waiting for the next book in a trilogy or series, but at least those are WHOLE novels to get you through the year.

With that said, I still couldn't wait to read this because of the tantalizing synopsis knowing I would most likely be displeased due to the page length of this .... Part I "book".

I was right. It didn't get anyways. Left you hanging to wait for the next part not knowing if there is going to be a next part - even though the author may say so or guarantee - life happens. Shit happens. It's happened before to other serials out there where an author says "every 2 weeks" and then ... Nada. So I'm stuck hanging on an unfinished story. Major pet peeve.

BUT all in all it was a very interesting start that just made me squirm in my seat just wondering what was going to happen next, when everything will come out to play, etc. But again .. Impatient little me has wait for it >_< who knows how long I will have to wait for just one whole freaking story.

DUMB. DUMB. DUMB. SO DUMB IT HURTS.
description
I suspect English isn’t the author’s first language due to the weird phrasing throughout the book. And the protagonist articulates herself in a rather absurd manner. This book would have worked better if it was set in a US High School because the characters behaviour is rather lame and childish.
description
Plot: decent plot – Oliver hates India due to how she treated him when they were at Secondary school- but his revenge consists of really silly pranks and being rude. It’s childish – if anyone treated me that way I’d just report the idiot – it’s a university not school, he could get into a lot of trouble for such conduct.

Anyway, would have been a good story if executed with less drama, less angst, and more subtle mature scenes. Many of the scenes were reminiscent of American High School films such as Mean Girls or US frat boy activities – rather than a UK university.

Writing: melodramatic, overblown and immature. Every other chapter It Is The End Of The World as we know it. And there’s an entire treatise on how much she hates Oliver. And how He Will Not Defeat Her. Then another few pages devoted to how HOT he is and how EVERY GIRL is swooning over him. He’s The Most Popular Guy In The World. And of course WHICH Girl Could POSSIBLY Say No?!

JUST SHUT UP. YOU'RE STUPID.
description

Heroine: India is a 18/19 yo tall-ish, caramel haired pretty girl who was popular in school. She was best friends with both Oliver and his older brother Christian (who was her sort-of boyfriend despite being 19 to her 15). She’s overly angst-y, suffers regular anxiety attacks, and is constantly concerned about Oliver: she lusts after him, swoons after him, ponders endlessly over him, reminisces over him, but also bangs on about being indifferent, then hating him - then panicking if he so much as looks at her. She also goes on how she hasn’t had much contact with boys/men since Christian (her former best friend/boy-friend and Oliver’s brother) died. But she also says she’s dated and slept with two guys in the last 2 years. It was confusing.

Hero: Oliver - once a nerdy sensitive Goth - is now a moody, immature tall, dark handsome popular PLAYBOY (**typical**) - imagine a combination of Justin Bieber with Lord Byron/Heathcliff.
His immense popularity (stemming from his good-looks and his position as Captain of the Ruby team) didn’t make much sense because at University (in the UK) the whole “Captain of the Ruby/football/etc” thing isn’t important nor does it make one famous or popular. This would be a big-ish deal in school (a much smaller population hence easy to be The Big Fish in a pond).

A few excerpts:
“His attention is on the girl for another second or so before he turns looking at the exact spot where I’m standing right now. The panic whisks through me, and I quickly look away, already knowing that he is aware that I’m here.
I bit my lip, contemplating if running out is an option. Now I understand that horrible feeling in my gut that has been bothering me all day.”

This is her (melodramatic) reaction to seeing Oliver at a house party – and this is before he even begins his “torture” campaign (which by the way is extremely childish and not even humiliating – if a guy played a silly prank like that on me I’d have laughed AT HIM because it’s SOOOOOO LAME!!!!).

my heart skips a beat when he leans toward the girl and whispers something in her ear. Then they both look at me. I turn around in a panic to face Dora…”

Heart skips a beat over glances? What would happen if he spoke directly to her – cardiac arrest?

“I’m thinking that Dora is ruining everything.”

These internal monologues are not only melodramatic but the English is rather odd, shall we say.

“My stomach drops and a wave – thick and heated with jealousy – sweeps through me like a waterfall

This is her reaction to witnessing Oliver - (the guy she hasn’t spoken to in about 2 years) - kissing a random chick. Her emotions being intense is an understatement

I’m in dangerous territory. I’m scared to leave this precious spot because Oliver is somewhere out there and here I feel safe.”

This is still at the same house party and so far zilch has occurred between her and Oliver for her to be this frightened. Illogical doesn’t begin to describe this irrational fear.

Our eyes meet and the ache in my heart starts vibrating through my bones, causing an eruption of panic. The air ceases in my lungs.

Surprised she's still alive with that reaction. This is at the same house party and Oliver has entered the bathroom where our frightened Heroine has sought refuge from the dangers beyond. Again the melodrama is pathetic.

“My heart leaps in my throat”

This is a common malady that she suffers – she ought to really get that checked out.

“His closeness is killing me. I’m not able to hurt him the way I used to.”

His glances alone causes medically impossible cardiac activity - hence not surprised his closeness brings her to death's imminent door - the guy must have lethal cologne I guess.
Not only melodramatic but it again the funny English – how about “unable to hurt him”

“My demons are back, but there isn’t any hatred left within me. I poured everything out on Oliver years ago.”

Demons? No really demons? Plus that’s odd because she hates him again in a few pages further on.

“I have goose pimples all over my arms and my stomach is in knots.”

Goose bumps - this is still at the party – her body seems to live in another dimension – if it’s not her heart vacationing in her throat – or an almost heart-attack, then it’s her stomach. She most likely suffers acid reflux and isn’t aware of it.

“I get to the apartment and my head starts spinning”

This is after she leaves the house party – now it’s her head getting in on the action.

“I haven’t seen Oliver around campus since our tense rendezvous in the bathroom, but I try to have eyes in the back on my head.”

Even if she wrote “eyes on the back OF my head” this sentence still wouldn’t sound right. It’s just odd.

“It doesn’t take me long to discover that he is the captain of the rugby team. The posters are all over campus, and he’s the only person everyone is talking about, especially girls. I feel like he’s already hunting me down”

NO MORE PLEASE! YOU DUMB.
description
She even takes issue with posters of the poor boy - POSTERS! See = melodrama. But that’s not only it – when did Rugby (a sport not as popular a football) and being captain of a non-pro team make one a Star at university? I can understand it happening in school but at uni???

“I choose law as my main degree”

In the UK we don’t have majors and minors – that’s the US. You can have joint degrees – but we don’t “major” in anything.

“Mum warned me that I might struggle to get the license, but I’m willing to try”

That’s also odd – in the UK one is acquires a pupillage (to become a barrister) or a Training Contract (generally with a law firm, the CPS or in-house) to become a Solicitor. After you complete your Law degree you start your vocational courses - either the LPC or Bar qualifications (BPTC)
description
Anyway there are loads contradictions, melodrama, angst and the prank in the end was just plain silly. If someone played that prank on me as a uni student I would have found it funny and laughed at the idiots for being so childish

I came across this book from a random post online. You know the kind of post... Does anyone know the name of the book that... after all the guesses and then someone finally finding the book, it had my attention. This story was a little different than most of the coming of age new adult romances out there. The theme of being bullied isn't new to the NA genre, but the reversal of roles is a little refreshing.

I found myself a little frustrated at the constant battle that India had with herself. She wanted to tell him the truth, the reasons behind her attacks, then she would chicken out - just to have the same argument with herself all over again. She missed every opportunity to tell him the truth.

As for Oliver, he had me questioning everything. Unsure if he was sincere or if it was all some giant ploy to destroy the girl that once broke him. As her story finally comes out, I couldn't help but wonder what happened all those years ago that made him break that promise. I can't say if his actions are justified. I am a little on the fence as to the severity of his actions and the ruthlessness he displays when compared to what she did and what she went through.

The story does have a conclusion, but it is not a tidy ending. One chapter of this series is tied up, but there is a whole new one to explore. One that will force both India and Oliver to finally face their past and to see if there destruction is just too much to ever repair.

This was my first book from this author and I am thankful that I spotted that random post that afternoon and paid enough attention to grab the name of this book. Now I have to be patient as I wait for the next in the series to be released when I really want to just beg the author to give it to me now.

These characters were a NIGHTMARE. India was a horrible person to Oliver. So I get why he would want revenge. However, he was a little too old to be acting the way that he did. India had some horrible things happen to her in the past and it sucked. However, she really didn't get a lot of sympathy from me. When she treated Oliver even worse for something he had no idea happened it made it hard for me. The last straw for me was the ending. I thought they would work past it but nope. Nothing but more childish BS. Thankfully this book was free.

This was honestly terrible. I don’t know what TikTok video made me add this to my TBR, but I shouldn’t have listened. The writing was god awful, the characters were one dimensional and annoying. I don’t like the bully aspect. I thought everything was so obvious. Also this wasn’t even smutty.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review...

The moment I started reading this book I was hooked. India had a secret that involved her boyfriend Christian. Unfortunately he died and when he did her relationship with Oliver changed. Oliver was Christian's brother and him and India had always been close but after Christian died India started to push him away. She blames him for something that happened at a party. She decides to make Oliver's life a living hell in high school as a coping mechanism. Poor Oliver didn't say anything he just took it all. Fast forward two years and India is getting ready to start her first day at college. She thought now she would be able to start her life anew, but what she didn't expect was to see Oliver. An Oliver who didn't look like he did a couple years ago. She hated to admit it but he looked gorgeous. She thought he was attending another university so how in the heck did he end up here? It's Oliver's time now to make India's life a living hell. After all he suffered it's his turn to inflict some pain.

My god! By the end of the book I was jumping up and down screaming "NO!". I need the second installment of this book right away. The second book is going to be way better than the first! Thanks for the opportunity Joanna, waiting in anticipation for the next one!

Reading these two stories was a serious waste of time, and I rarely say that about a book.

The storyline was an interesting idea and the first book was tolerable. The second just dragged on and on.

I didn't understand these characters, or connect with them, because they're all idiots. All of them.

All About You (Love & Hate #1) by Joanna Mazurkiewicz
3.5 stars!!

“Oliver. That name rolls in my head like a snooker ball. It curls my toes and increases my heartbeat. It’s like a poison that crawls into my pores and wrecks my body. His name brings on both good and bad within me. It’s the name that I have been trying to forget for the past two years.”

Being a trawler of Facebook I came across a thread posted on several pages that I am a follower of…you know the ones…can anyone remember the name of this book…the plot goes like this…Well I read the plot, I thought darn…I want to read this book…I started posting and asking people and eventually we got the answer. So I 1clicked and started reading…

Please do not be deterred by the 3.5 star rating, I really loved this book and it would have been a solid 4 star read had it not been for quite a few “errors,” I am by no means the grammar police, but when there are a lot of misspelled or incorrect words used you have to reflect that in your rating. All this book needs to make it perfect is a decent edit/proof read, but even with those littered mistakes it did not take away any enjoyment I had from reading this book.

Bullying is a sore subject; unfortunately it still remains a huge part of everyday life and is a subject that remains close to my heart to this day. Having been a victim of bullying at school I am all too aware of the pain and distress that bullying causes and call me sadistic but I love to read these types of books. Yes it does bring back painful memories, but I can relate and I can understand and even though this is fiction I cannot help but feel the need to help…I know I am sad!!

This story is about Oliver and India, these two have a love/hate relationship, they love to hate each other, yet they hate that they love each other…I know you are wondering…what??? These two have history and it goes back a couple of years. You are not treated to the full story in one hit, but slowly but surely India’s past is eked out through the pages. Oliver had a brother called Christian, Christian was the golden child, and his mum thought he was perfect…but we all know that appearances can be deceptive! Seeing that his brother had shown a flicker of interest in India, Christian nabbed her in spite before shy and quiet Oliver could make his move. Christian then continued to flaunt it in his face for years. Oliver and India were friends but there was always that underlying spark that both of them knew was there, yet never acted upon because India was with Christian. Christian changed as their relationship progressed and just as things were being sorted out, something happened that would forever change Oliver and India’s relationship.

India goes from Oliver’s friend to Oliver’s worst enemy, making his life a living nightmare at school. Incessant bullying leaves Oliver wondering what the hell happened. How could someone that he saw as a close friend go from love to hate? This was refreshing as it was the boy that was bullied by a girl. We all know that girls can be mean and cruel to other girls but I had not seen the roles reversed and this was a totally different insight. The end of Oliver’s bullying only comes about by his move to university when he leaves without trace.

India starts University and is shocked when she runs into Oliver on campus, he was supposed to be at a different University, but now he was here…and he has a new mission…revenge! The roles are now reversed…Oliver is no longer the shy, quiet boy that hides to keep out of the limelight. Oliver is the limelight…he is the most popular guy, handsome and a player. Their paths have crossed once more and now Oliver is intent to make India pay.

“I’m afraid to touch him, to make a connection with his body. Christian was a monster, and Oliver is a man who desires his payback. He wants to break me, though, not caring that we were friends once before.”

I cannot say any more as this where the book starts and I don’t want to give too much away, all I can say is that I want more!! I need to read the next book as this story is far from over and I am going to be hounding the author for details. After reading this book from start to finish you see how India has changed, how life changed her, then how her recovery changed her for the better. She is determined to be a better person. She is taken off balance seeing Oliver and even more so when she realises that those flickers that she had for Oliver before are fast becoming flames.

Oliver wants to hate her, feels the need to hate her, but even while acting out his revenge he cannot damp down those feelings. He loved her years ago and much to his disgust his heart seems to be interfering with his head. He is determined not to let his heart win, but can he really be that cruel? Or has what has happened in the past, scarred him so much, that his heart doesn’t stand a chance in winning this particular battle.

This book is full of twists and turns, it was an addictive page turning read and even though I knew that there was another book after this one, I was happy with the ending. Yes, I was left wanting more, but this just shows that the author has done her job. She pulls you into their story and you cannot help but become engrossed in this sad story. Great start to this series, I cannot wait for more.

All About You is book one in the Love & Hate series.

Do you know that feeling that you get when you have been reading a great book, but it ends, and not the way you thought it would? I am crushed. Seriously crushed. The book seemed to be going in one direction and I feel so naïve that I didn’t guess the ending. I am a true believer that love conquers all.

Saying that, the author spun her magic with this book. It drew me in straight from page one and held me right until then end. I am shattered that it ended with a cliffhanger. I was so involved with the characters that I am screaming out in my head noooooooo!!!! It can’t be the end… for now anyway. But the pain was worth it. I can’t wait for the next installment.

The book reverts between past and present seamlessly. The story starts in the last years of high school and continues to university. India and her best friend Dora are just starting university. India has a secret. She suffered at the hands of now dead boyfriend Christian and has never told anyone the truth of what happened. The abuse she suffered and kept silent about changed her. In order to deal with her emotions she took out her pain on the one person that she feels could have saved her.

Oliver was always just Christian’s brother. He lived in the shadow of his popular brother. After his brother’s death he still didn’t get a chance to be himself. He is the victim of India’s painful emotional revenge. He doesn’t understand why, but puts up with the torture through his last years of high school. We don’t get a perspective of Oliver’s feelings in this book, but what was seen through India’s eyes.

Fast-forward two years and the pair meet again in University unexpectedly – or was it planned? Oliver is hell bent on revenge and makes it clear to everyone he knows, that he will be making India’s life a misery until she packs up and leaves. He is now a changed person. He is popular, good looking and a star footballer that gets all the girls he wants.

Ouch. Revenge is never sweet. This book draws you into the terrible world that the bullied suffer. Life is rough. But just when you think that Oliver and India make a pact to get past their history, BOOM a plot twist that will make you want to hide in the corner and cry. Never has a book left me with such an emotional hangover.

I beg the author to release the follow up soon. I want more. I hate books ending in cliffhangers, but only because I have to wait to find out what happens next.

Highly recommended for readers of all ages. But have the chocolate ready to heal your emotional hangover.

All About You it’s a story about love, hate and revenge.

When Christian, India’s boyfriend dies in a car accident, she turns into this horrible person and makes it her mission in life to ruin her dead boyfriend’s brother, Oliver, life. She bullies him all through high school, enjoying the thrill and the release his pain is giving her.

She has a reason, though. She wants revenge for what happened to her and because he hadn’t been there when he said he would.

Oliver doesn’t understand why India is being so cruel and, instead of retaliating he takes it all until high school is over and he can go away.

When they meet again Oliver is not that shy, closed off guy anymore. He hasn’t forgiven nor has he forgotten. Now is her turn to suffer at his hand.

This book is an emotional rollercoaster. At one point you don’t know whom to pity and whom to hate anymore. You’ll just go from anger to pity, to hatred, to compassion and back to anger again with every turn of the page. Just when you think everything will be alright, something happens and it’s back to square one. There’s no time to get bored. I know I didn’t. At one point I wished could read faster just to see what happens next.

I also liked how the author blended the past with the present a little piece at a time, taking care not to give too much away and spoil the book or and not too little and make it impossible for the reader to understand.

The characters are great and you’ll like every single one of them. You might expect them to be the damaged and always complaining kind but instead, they’re strong in spite of the damage inflicted on them by their pasts.

All in all, Joanna did a great job and I can’t wait to read the next volume, All About Me, since this one ended with a bloody cliffhanger. Yes, there’s a cliffhanger BUT, you only have to wait until September 30th to find out how it ends so it’s not THAT bad.

I’m glad I gave this book a chance.

Happy Reading!

The synopsis was intriguing but the book... not so much. India bullied Oliver in high school over something she perceived to be his fault. Two years later they both attend the same college, and Oliver plans to get his revenge. It goes beyond bullying to playing mind games.

The trickery and mind games weren't as interesting as they could have been. It wasn't always blatantly obvious what was going to happen, but there were at least major clues that India was walking into a trap. It's like in horror movies when the person fleeing danger runs upstairs and you know they won't come out of it unscathed. That's how it was with India. How did she not see some of these things coming?

The message here was that it's okay for guys to be manipulative, devious assholes. They're still worthy of love even if they've done cruel things to women publicly. All of the women still want to fuck him and all of the guys want to be his best friend.

India was mean to Oliver in high school. He had every right to be pissed at her, but he took it to a whole new level of crazy. There was nothing redeeming about him, but for some reason she still saw past his faults.

Yeah because abusive assholes are soooo attractive. People do change. Just because they were good once doesn't mean they are now. Too bad India didn't learn this until it was too late. I have no interest in reading the next book because I'm sure the two of them will discover that they truly love each other.

I received an ARC Copy for an honest review

This book had me hooked from the first page. All you get are hints and little bits here and there to tell what is going on.
When I read this novella I seriously didn't like India of everything that she describes she was a terrible person to poor Oliver. You can't actually fault him for trying to get her back for everything she put him through.
But as the story unfolds I actually begin to feel sorry for her.
And at the end of the first part, you get the feeling that this is only the beginning and that he wont stop until he does exactly what she did to him. Ruin HER!

But you are left with so many questions about what happened in their past and what Christian did do India. At the end of the first part I wanted to scream to say 'NO, I'm not ready for the end yet'...
I cannot wait for the next installment in this series, I know its going to be hectic and mind blowing.

I have read a book by this author previously and I liked it and she did not disappoint with this one.
Thanks for the opportunity Joanna, waiting in anticipation for the next one....

Definitely to be added on your TBR list guys!!

First, i'd like to thank the author for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'm so glad I've taken the author's offer because this book ROCKS!
This is a story of love-hate relationship between India & Oliver. How certain actions and decisions can actually change persons' lives. How the pain of one person can be a coping mechanism of the other. And how anger can blind a person from seeing the truth.
From the early chapters I was already hooked! It has been quite awhile that I am this worked up on a story. I was quite shaken after reading this. The story is very gripping, full of angst and my heart is like beating a thousand beats per minute from all the anticipation and suspense from the characters. My head's spinning from all the twists and turns that I had a hard time catching up. Up until the last part, i'm literally holding on to my seat as I feel a major event is coming up. It's like I'm going to have a heart attack. And then....D*MN!!! What the HECK!!!
Now I am going to painfully wait for the next book! *sigh* I have a huge hole in my heart right now.
I love you already Ms. Joanna! Freaking awesome book! Please don't make us wait too long.

I honestly don't know what to say in proper sentences.

But since I am writing this, I have to.

This novel wasn't great but not terrible either.

It was...good.

In the novel we have India, the main female protagonist going to her favorite uni: Braxton along with her rich, spoiled best friend Dora (reminds me of Dora the explorer).

Anyway...

In the university, we then meet Oliver, enemy of India and brother to India's previous ex-boyfriend (not on friendly terms as you can see) (who had made Oliver's life miserable in high school basically).

Anyway, Oliver, the male protagonist then plans revenge for what India did to him.

It's all going great but then you know things don't always go according to plan (especially when you used to have a thing for that same person)

They fall in love (at least India does) all over again but I told ya, things never do go to plan.

And so things once again shatter because of their misunderstanding.

So it's not really a great novel but good enough to read and finish through.

Cannot wait for the conclusion of this series (at least for this book).

Hope you enjoyed.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

As soon as I started, there was no putting it down. Now? I want more!

I felt so many different emotions for both India and Oliver. One second I had negative feelings toward them, the next I liked them AND I was feeling sympathetic to what they were going through.

Growing up, India and Oliver used to be close. When India's boyfriend, who was also Oliver's brother, Christian died, their relationship changed. Christian had hurt India in some way (I'm dying for some details here), that changed her, and the best way she found to cope was by inflicting pain on Oliver.

Two years has passed since they last seen each other, Oliver isn't the same person India once knew and it's his turn to flip the tables.

Really appreciate Joanna Mazurkiewicz for giving me the opportunity to read this. I can't wait for the rest!

This turned into such a teaser for me! A quick read for myself, I couldn't put it down once I started. Cover is great! India dated Oliver's brother who dies in a car accident the story starts. There is sexual tension between Oliver and India but they hate each other, reasons we will find out as the series goes on I assume. As India starts at a new college thinking Oliver is long gone but ends up at the same one.
The series really is well named as I love and hated the instant childish pranks they playing on each other. I think this book is a short novella but there is a longer version on-line that I will have to read. I really, really loved this book but I don't recommend to romance readers that don't like a good cliff-hanger ending!!

*ARR (Advance Reader Review) - copy provided as a gift in exchange for an honest review...

4.75

I really enjoyed this book and if it wasn't for the drag through the middle it would have seen a solid 5 for me. I suggest you check this one out and have fun. It's different from the rest and will entertain you.

I was sucked in right from the start wondering what in the world made Oliver so mad and filled with such hatred.

I need book 2 - NOW *pulling hair* - yup a cliffhanger...grumble grumble lol

That was one crazy ride. Man she had me completely clueless as to what was really going on...was Oliver being true or not. OMG. I loved seeing Oliver and India rekindle their relationship and move past all he mean pranks and rumors. I also enjoyed the flashbacks on when they had their "moments". What Christian did to her was unbearable to read. I felt so horrible for her and then what Oliver does to her. Mackenzie is evil. That ending gutted me!! I was really hoping that would ot happen!!

I read the first part of the this serial story. It didn't do enough to show me. I decided not to purchase the next parts.
I kept waiting for it to get good and it never pulled me in like I wanted it too.
Disappointing because I really wanted this book to work.
