*This book takes place after the Knot My Band duet but can be read as a standalone.*
Brittney had to escape from her parents and the alphas they sold her to. Her only chance was reaching out to a rockstar she met once. When that omega superstar comes through for her, she’s on her way to freedom.
But her past isn’t going to give up that easily, so she’s assigned to a security team.
The Phoenix Pack Security Team will protect Brittney from her past, but will they also become her future?
Author’s This is a medium to fast-burn, omegaverse, MFMMMM, why-choose romance, meaning she doesn’t have to choose. The story changes POVs between the main character and her men. It is intended for 18+.
The baseline plot is decent and works pretty well. The FMC is really well written. The MMCs are decent but lack depth. The side characters are good friends but spend little time on page; especially Tommy, they are good when present but sparse.
The problem is the author's lack of continuity, consistency and details. Literally from one sentence to the next things are being changed. For example, she's held up by her hair, head lolling to the side - how is that supposed to work? The antagonist resolution is a mess, there are obvious gaping flaws in their (Saint's especially) logic regarding the antagonists being resolved at all. Brittany's past is very vague. The world building is severely lacking so we can't tell if her experience is even legal in their society. The guys personalities are a bit inconsistent, especially the twins who the author seems to confuse herself with. It becomes a very annoying book to read, very early on, and continues throughout.
It's not a terrible premise but the book isn't nearly as enjoyable as it could have been.
A great addition to the 2 novels prior, now I hope we get Tommy’s story! I didn’t like this ones intense showdown as much as the prior 2 books but was still a page-turner to fond out what happened next
Great third book, the whole series has been really good. Excellent story, perfect pacing and overall just a good read. I hope we get to another so Tommy can find his HEA
