Discovering Child Development
Our goal in writing this book was to explain how children develop, from conception through adolescence, and to explore the impact that individual characteristics, biological factors, personal relationships, social policies, and culture values and beliefs have on a child's development. we do this by focusing on scientific research that examines the relationships children have with people and with their environments and how these relationships influence a child's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
