This was an enjoyable read. This was a book I tried thanks to it being a kindle freebie as it was a little bit different from the books I normally read. It was easy to connect with the main character (Leon) as you follow his trials at the hands of a dictatorial regime in an unspecified South American country. The only downside (and the reason for 3 stars) is that since it is written in the first person it was obvious that Leon must have survived or how could he be telling the story, and this meant that there was no "will he survive" tension to the story

It was good.

It was a good story line but I expected more. I felt something was missing. Loved the ending, but wanted more from the characters.
