They wanted me to watch.

Autumn walked over to me, her eyes brimming with rage. I held her gaze for a long moment, and then she slapped me, hard across the face.
"I know you've planned this whole thing." My head was ringing. “I know you spent time with Simon figuring out how to make it happen." I smiled at her. "I know you aren't strong enough to dominate us without--"
She slapped me again. "Shut up!!!"
