***3.5 Stars***

Kaitlin is a twenty-one year old college student that is trying to move on from her past. Until one day when Detective Devon Walkerson notifies her that her estranged mother has gone missing. She now finds herself being guardian to her two siblings, Neri (fifteen years old) and Sam aka “Sambo” (five years old), while still going to college. She ends up having to look for a job in order to support them all and finds it in a high class adult establishment. While Devon is updating Kait on the case and checking in to see how they are all doing, an attraction blooms between them.

Kait went through a terrible event, left her home at seventeen and never looked back. Now she finds herself feeling guilty for never going back to see her sister and brother. But she also feels like a terrible person for not feeling anything when it comes to her mother. She desperately needs a job that can fit her schedule so she can still go to school. She accepts the job of receptionist in a brothel because the pay is really good and won’t compromise her time with her family.

It was funny to see all the inner ramblings of her mind when it came to Devon. But I really felt for her for how hot and cold Devon was with her. I don't know how she could stand him doing that to her so many times. I really liked Kait because she was confident, independent, funny, and a little bit of a perv. Despite what she went through in her past, she was comfortable being herself. She wasn’t perfect though, and there were some parts I didn’t know what to think by how she was feeling. I did enjoyed seeing her interact with her adorable little brother Sambo and build a relationship with her sister Neri. I also was very happy to see her have such an amazing supportive best friend and roommate in Ara.

Devon I really liked in the beginning. I loved how flirty he was, and he definitely made me swoon a few times but I struggled to really understand him. One moment he was sexy and blatantly obvious with his attraction to Kait and the next he was distancing himself from her because he can’t have a relationship with someone connected to his case. He continued this behavior for most of the book, asking for second chances and it was really frustrating for me. A part of me wanted her to forget him and another kind of wanted him to say how he felt.

I think that was what I needed more of, for both of these characters to talk more and to stop jumping each other after a few seconds. Even if it was quite steamy, I needed them to communicate so I could fully understand their actions and feelings because there were some moments I didn’t really get what was going on in their minds. He later reveals to Kait the event that has caused him to be reluctant to love but it didn’t excuse him of his rudeness to me. I was left wanting more from him.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I am looking forward to seeing if Devon will open up more and to see what is in store for Kait in the next book.

The family struggles in this book were very touching.

I didn't know prior to starting this book that there was going to be a book two .... but I'm sure glad there will be.

There is so much more us readers need to know ... What really happened to Kait's Mom, what's the story with Devon and will Kait & Devon make it?

I must say I could have done without the amount of typos in this book.

Overall a good book .... I'm glad I read it :)

Rating: 4.5

I really enjoyed this book. Since starting the book, I was completely sucked in and couldn't stop reading until I was done. To me, this book had a great mixture of both romance and mystery. Many times throughout the book I kept wondering what really happened to Kait's mother. Did she abandon her children? Was she taken against her will? Was she involved in something illegal? Though most of the book is about Kait's struggle of suddenly becoming the guardian of her brother and sister while juggling school and work, I felt that the mystery of her mother's disappearance still added much to the story. Throughout the book we see Kait grow as a person through her transition from taking care of only herself and focusing on only her future to now raising her siblings and preparing them for their own future.

I loved that although the situation she saw herself in wasn't ideal, she took it all in stride and began shaping her life to better benefit her siblings. Every decision was made to benefit the kids and she was committed to do whatever she had to do in order to see them happy. The decision she made regarding her job might be appalling to some but in a strange way to me it was okay. I understood why she made that decision and couldn't judge her because she did it for the right reason. Although at first she was uncomfortable with it she knew it was right thing to do to help her sister get one step further towards accomplishing her dream career. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do and she would do whatever it took to see her sister happy and get her there.

My favorite thing about the book was her interactions with her family and Devon. Through her interactions with her family we see all three of them grow closer and start over as they face the past and learn to move on by helping each other cope with the disappearance of their mother and discussing past decisions. Learning about Kait's past helped me understand why she left her home in the first place. If I had gone through what she did and had no support just like her, I probably would have done the same thing. It was not an easy decision to make but it was what was best for her at the time. Her interactions with Devon were funny, sweet, and well...hot. Three words: handcuffs, cop, & uniform. That's all that really needs to be said about that ;). On an emotional level though, Devon could be so damn frustrating. I was just as annoyed and frustrated as Kait was, with him going back and forth all the time. Telling her they couldn't be together but yet he kept calling her to ask if he could come over because he just had to see her. Im glad that he finally came to a decision towards the end and now are finally giving it a shot.

The only negative thing was that there were a few grammar issues that made some parts a bit confusing but overall to me it didn't really take away much from the story. I was still able to follow and understand what was going on.

After reading this book I can't wait to see what happens in the second one. I wonder what effects the trials of both her mother's disappearance and one that was a result of her job will have on Kait's relationships . In particular I can't wait to find out what truly occurred to her mom and why. Also I wonder what effect, if any, the trial caused by Kait's job will have on her sister's chance to accomplish her chosen career. This book was the first book I've read from the other but it will certainly not be the last. I'm looking forward to what the author has in store for us.

When Kaitlin's mother disappears, she has to take care of her little brother and sister, Sam and Neri. The disappearance is being investigated by the hottie Devon Walkerson. Not long after Kait meets the guy, she is head over heels.

To manage looking after the kids and taking classes at college, Kait has to take a job that's flexible. By taking this job everything becomes more complex.

I really liked the book. Most of all I really liked the conversations between Devon and Kait and sometimes the awkwardness between them :P

At some point though I was getting frustrated with Devon. He may be a hot guy, but I mean come on dude, just make up your damn mind! He comes by her house, they have steamy hot sex, he then apologizes to her, goes home and the proces starts from the beginning when he comes by her house again. I can definately feel how frustrated Kait must have felt.

I did not expect Kait to do what she did. I'm sorry for being so vague, but those of you who read the book, I'm sure understand what I mean. So, I basically did not expect that, because of what happend to her in the past. I would expect from someone who has been trhough so much to well not do that. But I guess that's just me feeling that way..

Furthermore, I found it interesting the way the author made Kait's job so 'friendly', for lack of a better word. It kinda made it feel not so wrong in a way.

I really loved the chracter of Sam and the funny situations he got Kait into. I could not do otherwise than laugh out loud! :P

This is the second book I read of the author. The first book being 'So many reasons why' (which I also recommend). What struck me most was that in both books, the main characters hava been molested at a young age and they have not such a good relationship with their parents. Besides, there's something about teachers... :P

What I did not like was the amount of misspellings and/or typos in the book, because I somteimes did not understand what the author meant, until after rereading the part.

But overall, I really liked it! Sorry for being so vague about some things, but if you want to know what I mean, then I suggest you grab a copy and start reading!

Okay so, I was pretty shocked at the turnabout is the story, it was shocking,to say the least.
I'm not sure whether I should hate it or love it.

Well lets start with Kait, she started out as a reliable person someone who could handle anything would be thrown at her someone her siblings could count on.I also had this feeling that she couldn't handle what had happened to her.

She thought it was inconsequential that it shouldn't affect her like it did which we could see by the way she seemed to be so immature at times as well as her initial lack of reaction regarding her mother mothers disappearance in which she only felt guilt because after what she had made Kait go through she still didn't feel anything for her.

Well Devon what is another issue, after awile I realized that he was unsure about himself and that was reflected on to Kate.He made her heart beat faster but he also could leave her with a weight around her heart, squeezing it until she didn't know if she could take it anymore mostly because of his dismissal towards her.

I can't say I agree with some of her decisions thoughout the book, but I can certainly understand her need to protect her unexpected family.

This book touched me to the core with.the struggles that this family was going through. I understand the seperation that was going on in this book. I didnt have an easy childhood per say, and the same thing that happened in this book had happened to me. I was able relate to this book on so many levels. My mom took in most of my cousins and helped raised them so whn my mom passed I was thn in charge of making sure they made the right choices in life even if we didnt all get along. You as a reader will feel all the emotions going on in this family with the missing of their mother, to the detective falling for the girl he shouldnt to the sibling struggles with wanting the acceptance of one another. I promise you wont be disappointed if you read this book.

DESIRE by MISSY JOHNSON

4.5 STARS

Reviewed by Sharon Thérèse Nuttall for Kindle Friends Forever

Throughout this novella I was on tenterhooks! I turned the first page and from there on in I couldn't put the book down. Do you want a hell of a storyteller? Well, Ms Johnson is exactly what you’re looking for! I hate the word wow, and I'm not going to use it. Only stronger words can be applied to this story about two completely incompatible and adorable characters that made me smile, made me laugh out loud, made me think and made me feel honoured to able to read their story by means of an ARC gifted to Kindle Friends Forever for an honest review.

Kaitlyn ran! Her running away from an abusive relation would not only protect the one’s she most loved, but also protect herself. Even though proven true, nobody believed her! As she was considered a slut in the town where she was brought up and virtually non grata, she shut any kind of relationship out of her life except for her best friend, Ara. Anybody would wish to have such an understanding friend that stands by them through thick and thin. Years pass by and Kait has no contact with her family. She has no wish to confront her demons and does what she knows how to do best. She works in one of the most elite bordellos in Seattle, likes the easy money and the protection she has there. Then a catastrophe happens and her life is turned upside down. All of a sudden, she becomes a mother figure to her young brother and adolescent sister who have had no bond with her for years. Problems there will be. Wait and see!

Detective Devon Walkerson has a job to do! Past experiences have taught him a lesson; however, he should have learnt that business cannot be mixed with pleasure by now! The question is, can he abide by the rules and regulations he must respect? This twentyish, knocking on thirty strong and super horrendously attractive man is hot! In fact, it’s difficult for me to describe him because he’s the perfect man in more ways than one! He strolls into Kait’s life and the attraction they have for each other is so frinkin' palpable, it hurts! They are not, but not, made for each other! She pushes him away and he keeps pushing back. Will he discover the guarded secret she has? Will she give in to all her hang ups and confess?

Now down to the bottom line señores and señoras! The banter is beyond exceptional. The innuendos flow freely throughout this story and will make you laugh out loud. There was one point when I had to grab for the box of Kleenex, too! What we all like is a steamy bedroom scene. It's there, it's hot and even though this is a standalone novel, I'd still like to see more from where this came from. Whether or not the author will write a follow-up to this novel remains to be seen but in my honest opinion, there's plenty more room to tell the reader how this gorgeous couple are getting on. I will ignore the few typo errors as I really enjoyed this well-written book and award it four and a half stars. Bravo Ms Johnson

4 SINFUL STARS!

This book was good. It has mystery, suspense, twists, turns, and one sexy alpha detective who would stop at nothing to get the girl. This book was a roller coaster of emotions but I really felt it lacked at the end. It was a short, fast read that kept me intrigued.

Kaitlyn is broken. She has lived and endured a life no one should have to endure. After being abused over and over by men and her father, she fled her home. She was once enrolled in college but now works for a Madam as a prostitute. She likes what she does because she can separate sex and emotions. Work is work to her. When a detective shows up at her door to tell her that her mother is missing and she is now needing to care for her two estranged siblings, things are about to get complicated. Devon can't get the girl he met out of his head. After reading her file, he feels for her and wants to help her and her siblings. He also has chemistry with her. As these two navigate through the mystery of her mother's disappearance and their relationship, things are bound to get complicated.

What happens when you though you couldn't love? What happens when you meet someone who makes you want better for your life? What happens when you have to care for two younger siblings who want nothing to do with you? And what do you do when the one man who should stay away has festered in your heart and won't let go?

I loved the characters. Devon was amazing and a strength that Kaitlyn needed. He didn't care what she did for a living. He didn't care about the scars she bore. He wanted to help heal her... save her. I admired him through this book. Kaitlyn pushed and pushed but he never budged. He would give her room but only to come back with full force. I also like Kaitlyn. She had a shit life and was making the best of what she had. I liked that she also realized family was important no matter what. I loved seeing her connect with her siblings. I also liked seeing Devon's interaction with the kids. DEVON. MADE. THIS. BOOK.

Again, I liked this book, but I felt the storyline could have been developed more. I also wanted more from the ending. Yes there is an epilogue but you really didn't get the impact as to where Kaitlyn and Devon were.

One click this book. I love this author so I will be reading more from her!

This Book was AWESOME! Brilliant! So so good! We were so positively surprised! Gosh.....the Author really nailed it all with this story! We were captivated from the first few pages! And guess what!......This book never gave us a chance to get bored! Nope. *so excited, eyes wide open even at this time at night!* Good Lord! We just couldn´t put this one down! Not even for a short break! Even though we´re exhausted as Hell, we just can´t seem to shake off the excitement we´re feeling!

This is a story about a college girl who tries to manage her life on her own without the help from the people who let her down. Namely....her own Family. Kait moves away and abandons her mother and two siblings to start new. Four years later a detective shows up and brings the bad news that her mother is missing and now Kait has to take in her younger brother and sister while their mother is gone. Kait, who is kind of attracked to the * oh so gorgeous looking* detective Devon, finds herself in a dilemma. Living with her roommate Ara, Kait decides to let her siblings stay with her. Having two kids to take care of Kait needs to get a job.....And the job she accepts isn´t your daily waitress job. NOOO! She accepts a job as a receptionist in a brothel!!!!!! Way cool!! * No....we´re not nuts.....*

So can you see where this story is heading?! You can?......Well.....we can say that you DON`T know where this story is heading!!!! That´s the amazing part of this story! You don´t know what comes next! This Book was a fantastic piece of story telling! The fact that the Author made everything so easy to understand was great!
One could think that a story of a young woman working at a brothel could be kind of disturbing......but thats just it! We were so happy that we were made to understand the why´s and all. Oh and.....about the relationship between Kait and Devon....well...it will not disapoint! You got to read it! The way the story ended was kind of heart-breaking, but as you can tell.....we survived ( in a good way)!! lol

And thank God for that! We can´t wait for the next Book!!! We´re giving " Desire" 4 champagne glasses!

From my blog.

I had an amazing opportunity to beta read this book.

First of all, working with Missy was such a wonderful opportunity. I'll never forget it... (And it's not just because she only sent me small parts of her book and left me hanging every single time...) So thanks again, Missy! :) I no longer hate you ;)

I'm not even sure where I should begin... What a story it was! I gave up trying to figure out what would happen as soon as I started reading. My brain just doesn't work like that... After all those hundreds of books I've read, keeping me on my toes is something only a few books can manage (I can usually see through EVERY scheme the writer has planned and from time to time, this grows old really quick). This, however, had so many unexpected twists and turns I wasn't bored even once.

The characters felt so, so real. I was hooked immediately and got into the characters right away. It took so little time for them to come alive and no time at all for me to become absolutely invested in their lives. I loved Kait and I loved Sam and Neri and Ava and despite of Devon's hot and cold behavior, I also loved him. They were all so well-developed and completely believable.

Two main characters, Kait and Devon, just kept driving me insane. Kait made some (in my opinion) bad decisions and Devon couldn't make up his mind. However, that just made them even more real.

There's NO CLIFFHANGER, so you don't have to worry about that even though it is the first book in a series. The ending actually brought some sense of calm after the roller coaster that is this story. Yes, there's a lot that needs solving in the second book, but for now, the ending is definitely satisfying.

Should you read it? It's a book like no other. You seriously DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!

Kait’s mantra: “People were designed to hurt and be hurt. I’d learned a long time ago how easily trust could be violated. I had to protect myself, because nobody else was going to do it for me.”

Kaitlyn has been through it all…dead-beat dad, druggie mother, abusive step-father and now she is the only relative left to take care of her half-brother and sister (Sam and Neri). Kaitlyn knows she is the last person that should take care of two kids, ages 5 and 15, mostly because she works as a prostitute at a brothel outside Seattle.

What I loved about this novella is that you feel for Kaitlyn and understand why she would work at the brothel. She got her life together after putting her step-father behind bars. She works, sleeps, eats, and repeats. She does not trust anyone, thus does not have the time for real relationships and love. That is until Devon the detective shows up to discuss new events regarding her mother and brings Sam and Neri to their new lives with Kait.

Devon hasn’t had the easiest ride easier, which helps the development between him and Kait. I loved the build up of their relationship and the concern/care/passion that each had for one another.

I did not give this book 5 smooches, because I simply want more to the story! I wanted more after it was over. It is the first in the series, so maybe there will be more to Kait and Devon’s story?

Missy’s book “Out of Reach” was one of my favorites this year (thus far) and I know she can write a mean novel, and that’s what I want from this story!!!

Arabella, Kait’s roommate was a great supporting character and I loved her! She was funny and lightened the mood, especially when Sam and Neri were around. Arabella and her long-distance Marine boyfriend, Luke, seem like the most reasonable step for novella #2, but I’m not done with Kait and Devon!

Nice work Missy!!

Can her desire for him bring down the walls protecting her?

Please note: I read the re-written version published July 2014 and I really enjoyed this story. It seemed believable to me, especially since we all cope with things in different ways. I felt drawn to the main character and was glad the focus of the story lines wasn't on her job. It was more about rebuilding her trust and pulling her family back together. And now a bit about the story...

Kait doesn't trust anyone anymore. After putting up with her step father for 2 years, she turned to her mother to no avail, so after turning her step father in for repeated rape she left home to build a new life. She spent many a night sleeping off her hang overs at some strange mans house, especially when the women's shelter was full. With only be 17 and no job she found it hard to get by. Eventually she ran into a friend, Ara from high school going to college in the area. Ara's parents had rented a 4 bedroom house for her to live in while going to school. Instantly Kait had a new place to live. Now to find a job... what does she turn to? The Velvet Touch, a brothel in Seattle. Since she had long turned her emotions off, she found the work easy and the pay high. When Devon, a Seattle PD detective knocks on her door everything changes. Can she, a sex worker, a prostitute, a whore really fall for someone?

Favorite Passages:
- I'd learned a long time ago how easily trust could be violated. I had to protect myself, because nobody else was going to do it for me.
- "I want a chance. A chance to show you how much you mean to me."

I received this book from the author and Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
Desire is a stand alone contemporary romance novel.
Kait ran away from her family and her past. She starts a new life cutting off all contact with her family and starts a life working as a sex worker in a brothel and living with her best friend. Her life gets thrown in a loop when her mother ends up missing and she ends up taking in her brother and sister who she hasn't seen in four years. Devon is the detective on Kait's mother's case. She's attracted to Devon on first sight but is hesitate because of her past and her work to get in a relationship. Devon has a past of his own and a reason not to get involved in a relationship with Kait but he's having a hard time staying away. Kait has to decide if she's willing to open up and start a relationship and Devon has to decide if it's worth the risk of his career.
It wasn't a bad story but I was hoping for more. The characters were real and relatable. Kait has to take up the role of mother when her mother disappears and she's left with her two younger siblings. Sam and Neri are both fun and genuine characters who have their own unique personalities. Devon is a sexy young detective but there isn't much that is said about his past. I wished the story was more in depth. Kait's job is a little too nice and made to seem like there is nothing wrong with prostitution. I was hoping for more on the relationship between Devon and Kait.
I recommend this for readers who enjoy a shorter story that is about discovery, forgiveness and a touch of romance.
I would rate this 4 fangs.

Desire intrigued me…mystery, prostitution, and romance. How could I say no to reading that?? But, I must admit, I was concerned when I saw that it was compressed into a novella. Can the author really make me feel this story, with this much going on, in such a short story. Yep, she did, for the most part.

“My heart was pounding and I wasn’t sure what made me more nervous; the fact that he was cute, or the fact that he was a cop.”

So, Kait works in a brothel and Devon is a detective. This definitely adds to the excitement of where these two will end up. I could see and feel Devon and Kait’s struggle with their questionable relationship. I found myself rooting for them, even if it was a strange situation. And then you add a 5 and 15 year old to the mix. Yep, makes it funny at times, also.

“Apparently, the best cartoons start at seven.”

I very much enjoyed all the characters in this story!! Except maybe Laney, but she only had a small part ;) I honestly thought she was going to be a problem. The story is told from both Kate and Devon’s POVs, and I LOVE dual POV stories. Would I have wanted more from this story, though…yes, but did I get enough to make me a happy girl…again, yes. Although, I did feel that the ending was a little rushed, and there were a few times that I felt like the POVs got a little confused, but other than that, the author did a great job at piling a whole lot of info into a very quick read. Read it. Enjoy it. And let me know what you think.

I was given this book in return for a honest review from hookedonbooks.

Missy Johnson has made a great novel by bringing Mystery, love, Sadness, Tragedy and heartache together to create something wonderful and inspiring.

Kait leaves her mothers home after years of abuse at the hands of her mothers boyfriend. She moved to Seattle and lived with her friend Ara. She works as a sex worker and she loves her job. What she wasn't prepared for was the knock at the door from the HOT detective Devon Walkerson, I forming her that her mother was missing. As the only living relative left she takes in her 15 year old sister Neri and her 5 year old brother Sam. They try to adjust to life while the search for there mother continues. This is one hell of a ride as Kait struggles to bond with her younger sister over the issues surrounding there past. She struggles with the ever growing feelings she has towards Detective Devon.

My heart was in my throat for the poor young family as they try to come together in the absence of the one person who put them all in this horrific situation the one person who should have loved and cherished them and be there to protect them whole heartedly.

I read this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down, i had to keep going to the very end. Absolutely brilliant with a good flow to an amazing plot. Believable characters that I loved, I would recommend this book 100%

Desire is the first book of Missy Johnson I have read. I love the blurb and with in the 1st few pages I loved it. I didn't give it a 5 star because I hated that Kait was always back and forth with her Devon.

You meet Kait as Devon comes to her door letting her know that her mother is missing and that she needs to care for her younger siblings or they will go into foster care. Kait has been estranged from her mother and her siblings because she had been abused by her step father and her mother did not believe her. So now on her own and she is works at a brothel. Kait is totally anti love believing if anyone should get to close or if she let them in that when she can get hurt. But after Devon the friendly detective investigating her mother disappearance becomes a more permanent fixture she cant fight her feeling anymore and lets him in. WOW! What a great book, I read it in a day. Missy took such a sad outlook and made it into an inspiring story. Kait, is a young woman who is ashamed of her job, and has not spoken with her family in 4 years. Nor does she plan too. I can't say that I blame her but her life does seem very hollow to me. She seems sad, lonely, and unsullied.

Devon is a fresh faced detective if will! He was given the case about a missing mother and never could have thought of what could have happened after it started. He had made the mistake of getting involved with women he was helping before and to say it ended badly for him would be putting it nicely.

When their worlds collide Devon and Kait have no idea what's about to happen to them. They are both trying to fight it as Kait has just been handed so much that there is no way for her to worry about anything but her family. I think we all know what it is like to have our past thrown in our faces and it makes it worse when there are memories that you never ever want to think about.

Somehow Kait with the help of her best friend Ara and Devon she is able to reconnect with her brother and sister and see what she truly wants in life! But not everything is glitter and roses.

This was a great book! Missy did an amazing job.

Reviewed on Behalf of Give Me Books

I was really looking forward to reading this book. The blurb intrigued me; a prostitute who has to take care of her siblings and ends up getting involved with the investigator of her mother’s case. I did enjoy this book. The story was told from both Kaitlin (Kait) and Devon’s points of view. There was a strong attraction between Kait and Devon from the beginning. He feels compelled to help her, especially after something from his past. And eventually he starts to break down Kait’s walls and she is finally able to let someone in. Besides the relationship between Kait and Devon we also see Kait’s friendship with Ara, the only other person she has let into her life in the last 4 years as well as her new found relationship with her sister, Neri, and brother, Sam.

However, at times I felt like the story really jumped around. There seemed to be pieces missing or sometimes things didn’t add up. And the ending sucked. It just ended. I sure hope there is a second story to answer the unanswered questions. (3.5 stars)

**** I received this arc in exchange for an honest review****

This book I read in one go. I do really like Missys books and she didn't disappoint me with this one.

We had a mixture in this book of romance, mystery and heartbreak.

Kait has a tragic past and it seems that she has never really got over it and finds it hard to trust people, the only one she's let in so far is her best friend Ara. That is until Devon walks ino her life with some more disturbing news and also telling her she will need to look after her brother and sister.

There are a lot of intriguing parts to this book, mystery surrounding the whereabouts of Kaits mother and sexy Devon breaking down Kaits walls.

Another good read from Missy, cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us

Desire was quite a sad story, lots of heartache and troubles that puts a lot of pressure on young Kait. The choices she made proved to me how much she needed guidance from someone but she did what she thought was best. I hoped that Devon was going to become a better man for her, but really I think he just used her. I would definitely read the next book, I need closer with her siblings, her mother and hopefully Devon being the supportive man she needs in her life, and to help with the kids. I gave 5 stars, worth a 41/2 bright ones. I enjoyed and found the more Australian approach easy to read, and maybe they could all move to Australia for a new start :D

I just love Missy Johnsons books .....

Desire follows Kait who is a sex worker and loves her job its her release from the past life shes moved away from her family following a abusive past and has started new.
Devon is the Hot cop who is working on Kait moms missing person case he turns up at Kaits door to tell her the bad news and possibly change Kaits life forever there is instant chemistry that they both feel but there are obsticles in there way with her job/her past and Devons career.
Kait takes on her 15 year old sister and 5 year old brother and there are bridges to fix along the way

I loved reading this book and its a full 5* read

Kait is a woman who has had a rough life as a child and pre teen. Once she leaves her home things start to look up but could be better then what they are. Soon she meets Devon, he's a cop who is working on her mother's missing case. She ends up taking in her two siblings, her sister Neri who is 15 and her little brother, Sam who is 5! They come together and get settled into a routine while the cops try to figure out what happens to their mother. In the meantime, Kait starts to fall for Devon and he feels the same way. But Kait has a secret and is afraid of what Devon would think of her. Things get crazy and a bit messy! A great read that I liked, although I think it ended to quickly!

Desire by Missy Johnson is a stand alone Novella that will have you wanting more. I was hooked from the very first word until the very last. I have read books by this author before but I have to say she out does herself every time she writes a new book. The story line was amazing and the characters were very well written. You start it and I promise you will not put it down.

This is one of the best books that I have read this year. It has an amazing story that will grab you and not let go. It will keep you interested all the way through to the end. The characters are, wow, you cannot help but fall in love with them. This book moves along at a great pace from beginning to end. You will not be sorry that you have read this and if you haven't, you must ASAP.

Holy shit! This novel was amazing. I'm seriously so in love with this one. Even though it is a series, it gave us a great look into all the characters and coming/goings. I really can't wait for number two in the series. I was so impressed.

I enjoyed read this book. What a twist and turn in the story line. The characters were great. Kaitlyn life was turn upside down, I though this was a strong story line for this book. Thanks for the great day of reading.
