A short paranormal story about storage locker ghosts.
Grace and Frankie Abrahams own an antiques shop that was left to them by their parents. They also own the massive debt that their father incurred. A loan shark, Eddie Tominski, is now threatening to take away their beloved shop.
At a storage locker auction Grace sees the ghosts of Lynne and Tom Opendale. They were friends of her parents. Grace asks how she can help them. Tom replies that it’s Grace that needs help – they are going to lead her to the person who murdered them, and who also murdered her parents.
I'm an avid fan of mystery stories. I started reading Agatha Christie novels at an early age. My favourite fiction detective is Poirot, I love his fussy ways and his attention to small details. I love the TV series, 'Murder She Wrote' and have watched every episode. I like working out who the killer is, and what the clues are.
I live near Leeds, Yorkshire, which is in the north of England. My two daughters live with me and they are understanding about my passion for mystery shows! I've now discovered 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.
I've been wanting to write my own mystery stories for years - and now I finally have.
I really liked this one! It had more mystery and plot twists than the previous books, but it was still pretty simple and really cozy.
I love that this time, she found her neighbors as ghosts, and they actually helped her uncover the truth about her parents, as well as so many other people. And the fact that it didn’t just help her, but also the daughter of those neighbors? That was such a nice touch.
Frankie, her brother, just wants the best for her, and I love it. He’s a real golden retriever, and it’s adorable. Also, Big Bob stepping in to help them even when he doesn’t have to? That just makes everything even better.
If you’re looking for a short, cozy paranormal mystery, this one is for you! Oh, and while it’s the third book in the series, you can technically read it as a standalone—but honestly, I’d recommend reading the whole series!
Kindle Unlimited. Every now and then something doesn't make sense, but might be reading out of order or could be the difference from story to story, some detail or other.

I don't do book reviews like you keep seeing, as I find that some give too much of the plot away and I personally hate that, as it makes the book not worth reading. I much prefer to take the authors back cover write up as a review as it can either intrigue you enough to read the book of provide you enough information to make you decide that the book is not for you. My review rules are: The more stars, the more I liked it. If there are too many typos or errors the less stars I give If the storyline or plot is poor or contains too many errors, the characters are too weak, the ending lacking something, then the less stars I give. Simple, uncomplicated and to the point without giving anything away. Some of the books I read have been given to me by the author as a pre-release copy and this does not bias my reviews in any way
What happens when you start seeing ghosts after a car accident that you were the only family member to survive? This is not your see ghosts & have to deal with random issues. She does see random ghosts, too. But it is not portrayed as an issue like in some other books.
Third in the natural progression of tales in The Storage Ghost Mysteries, Tick Tock reveals what really happened to Grace and Frankie’s parents.
Eddie Tominski, the ruthless loan shark, steps up his evil ways to wrest the antiques shop left to them by their deceased parents away from the Abrahams siblings. He even has his thugs attack Grace at a storage locker auction - in a public restroom. Grace is rescued and family friend, Big Bob, determines to put an end to Eddie’s plans.
Grace obtains a storage locker that holds the ghosts of an older couple that she recognizes to be friends of her parents. Lynne and Tom Opendale had owned and operated a watch repair shop and died under mysterious circumstances. Grace is led to the couple’s grown daughter, Clare, who has developed a theory about their deaths as well as that of the elder Abrahams and others. All the suspicious deaths lead back to Eddie Tominski.
Although Grace never encounters the ghosts of her parents, she does receive word of them from some of the ghosts she end up helping. We also discover in Tick Tock that there may be the helpful spirit of a saucy old woman inside the antique shop.
Once again, this is a quick, fun, and satisfyingly-resolved cozy mystery but with a heavy dose of menace this time. Still … THUMBS UP!
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
You always want to know more, figure things out, well this story helps put more pieces into the puzzle. Just enough to wet your imagination. I was disappointed that it was so short, but I do think I have read it before, but on to the next book.....
Tick Tock, the third book in the Storage Ghost Mysteries, was a favorite of mine. It was more emotional than usual since Grace is dealing with ghosts who were close friends of her late parents.
She becomes close to their daughter and we find out information on the cause of their deaths. It was a touching short story that I'd definitely recommend to everyone that likes to read paranormal stories!
