Loved this book! I really enjoyed Blake's POV. The bonus chapters were awesome. I would love another Blake and Autumn book...

I usually don't like sequels that are the first book from the other person's POV. I tend to skip them all together even if I like the series as a whole, because I find them redundant, and I don't like reading the same conversations twice. But with this plot, I was super compelled to read Blake's side of things. Especially getting the flashbacks from when Mr Bridges was first arrested. It was really interested to see the evolution of Blake's emotions transitioning from blaming Autumn for ruining his family's lives, to realizing his stepfather had been lying the whole time, to falling in love with Autumn.
But the parts I really enjoyed were the insights to his family, and just how truly awful his mother is. She's super manipulative and doesn't care about anyone or anything as long as she's got money in her pocket.
Delia was also interesting to me. Even in the last book, I've felt awful for her. I couldn't imagine being in her position. She did everything a good daughter does, and supported her father and believed the story he gave bout what happened with Autumn. What daughter wouldn't? It was kind of heartbreaking to see her struggle with what to believe. It's clear she's conflicted between being a good daughter and being a good sister, and I think she could also have a book with this timeline all on her own and I'd devour that book too. I believe the next book is her story, but I don't know if it's before, during, or after this one. I'm excited to see her character development though.

Blake and Autumn have a sweet and sexy story and its time to hear Blake's side of things. Blake is troubled and getting into his head gives us a chance to understand his motivations. A portion of the book is the same events as the first book, but there was a lot of new stuff too like what Blake was up to when not with Autumn and how their relationship worked after his secrets come out. Highly recommend!

Simply beautiful! I always wondered what B. Preston had been thinking and his life was a bit of a mystery before. Finding Autumn had me fall a little more in love with him!

This short novella is the story about Autumn and Blake from Blake's POV. But it isn't a mere retelling of what happened in "Falling For Autumn". Instead, this novella gives more insight into the story and the characters. It adds so much to Autumn's and Blake's story and answers the remaining question, as well as justifies some of the characters' behaviors.
It helps to understand Blake so much better and portrays his torment perfectly. My heart broke for him even a bit more. Heather Topham Wood painted a clear picture of how his guilt, his loyalty to the people in his life, his step-dad's betrayal and his growing love for Autumn were tearing him apart inside. Having the person who he loved and trusted be exposed as an egotistical, sick monster, has made him question everything and the need to make up for someone else's sins is controlling his life and keeping him from happiness.
It takes him a while to understand that he doesn't need to pay for an atrocious act he didn't commit. And seeing how much he loves and worships Autumn makes up for the mistake he made along the way.
As we learn more about their relationship after the events of "Falling For Autumn", I loved seeing that Heather Topham Wood kept it realistic. They were happy and enjoyed their relationship, but it wasn't just rainbows and sunshine. Due to their individual and joint baggage, they have a number of obstacles to overcome and a few odds to beat.
His character isn't the only one that gains depth in this novella. So does Delia's character. Though I was sympathetic to her in "Falling For Autumn", I was also very irritated by her as she often came across like a righteous, spoiled little brat. But through Blake's insight, it became easier to understand and like her. Not being a direct victim of her father's crimes, she still has to pay for it every day. And as angry as it might make me, it is understandable that she desperately tries to hold on to the believe that her father is not a monster. I actually started to like her character so much, that I'm hoping Heather Topham Wood will write Delia's story. *hint hint*
"Finding Autumn" is a perfect novella that allows additional closure and left me with a satisfied smile on my face and a happy heart.

I was so excited to read this novel. So many things happened in Falling for Autumn that I wanted to see from Blake's POV. When I heard Heather was writing this one, I was chomping at the bit for her to finish. Well, she did. And I wasn't disappointed. Time for the good stuff!
From a Reader's Perspective:
Autumn Dorey is an unreliable narrator because she never gets to see what Blake is going through when she's not around. I have to say, I loved him in the first book, and this one just made him more likable. I did find out some of the things he was doing when not by her side (things that were a little deplorable), but I loved watching him grow as a character and appreciated that he wasn't perfect. We're human; therefore we're flawed. He was so protective of her later on. It was a nice change from the A-typical bad-boy in many other books. By the end, I wanted him to succeed and win her heart. Like Falling for Autumn, I was immersed in the story and emotionally vested by the end. There's enough difference in the stories that it's worth it to pick this one up and lend it your time. A great read.

I love reading a guy’s pov in a book and Blake’s thoughts covering his relationship with Autumn was a steal, and a beautiful reveal further encasing my love for his sweet character. His internal battle to comprehend in his mind to uncover the truth, held me captive as his thoughts played out in his reasons to befriend the girl who held all the answers. It was heart melting to read how his assumption of Autumn’s slandered image began to slip away the more time he spent in her company, and how he was unable to stay away battling with his thoughts on the rumours portrayed to him, falling deep for her left me in awe of him as I saw dawn on him the truth, love, protectiveness and loyalty as he battled against those who opposed their relationship. I loved Blake’s strength to help Autumn regain who she was, whilst along the way he shaped his own path in life and accepted the merits of his own hard work. The guy was so resolute in his decisions to claim the truth behind the façade and abide by what was right, that he had me continuingly smiling throughout this read. Finding Autumn was a great companion to Falling for Autumn as it was an emotional read, and bought Blake Preston onto my book boyfriend radar. I would love to read more on their future as I adored these two characters!

Do Not Read This Book Unless You Have Read Falling For Autumn.* Review contains spoilers for Falling For Autumn* In Falling For Autumn we fell in love with the story of Autumn and Blake as they opened themselves up for love only to hit the wall when the truth of who Blakes stepfather is. In the end Autumn found her love for Blake outweighed her anger over his betrayal and we were left with the warm fuzzies of what would come.
In Finding Autumn we hear and see the challenges Blake faces as his mentor is accused of attempted rape and he finds himself face-to-face with his "victim" two years later. There are several scenes that mimic FFA, but we get so much more about Blake and his struggles with his mother and sister. His constant struggle with what his stepfather did and whether or not he believes Autumn over Thomas. We also get to see what happens after they reconnect at his football game and what the next year of their lives contains. We were left feeling warm and fuzzy, but can they truly overcome the crushing weight of who Thomas is to them and find their happily ever after. I loved this POV novel from Blake and highly recommend it to all FFA fans.

It's been a few months since I read Falling for Autumn and since I read a lot, the details were a little fuzzy. That's actually a good thing, since this is the story from Blake's POV. It's not just the same conversations from the other side though, we get Blake's backstory about his family, and a good glimpse into his future.
It was easy to sympathize with Blake, feeling torn about his loyalty to the man who help raise him and his loyalty to the woman who was capturing his heart. He didn't always handle things the best way, but it felt real. He really tried to be there for his sister (and his mom, though she was undeserving), and I liked the way Delia and Autumn had a wary acceptance of each other. For them to become instant BFFs would have felt inauthentic.
The last few chapters focused on Blake and Autumn's future, and I was happy with where they were in their relationship.

I'm typically wary of follow-up books written from another character's point of view, but I must say Finding Autumn was a pleasant surprise. While some of the scenes and dialogue were directly from Falling for Autumn, there was enough new material here that I didn't feel like I was reading the exact same book from the other character's point of view. It was nice to get some background into Blake's relationship with Thomas, and the author gave an amazing amount of insight into every step of Blake's thought process since the moment he first saw Autumn. I also appreciated the extra new content to the storyline at the end of the book.

I truly enjoyed Finding Autumn by Heather Topham Wood. Written in Blake's point of view and letting us delve deeper into his character. It caused me to fall deeper in love with him. It had extra material that takes place after where Falling for Autumn ended.
You got to learn a bit more about his sister.
Just like Falling for Autumn, it was perfectly written with real characters that screamed to be heard. And it ended with a satisfying conclusion which is something I look forward to having in a novel.

For the most part it's a replay of Falling for Autumn in Blake Preston's point of view this time with, of course, a little additional insight into the whole storyline. Once again, the story was written well and I can't say I didn't like it, but I could have done without it just as well. When the story is written well and brought to fruition the first go round, I find myself close to boredom with the POV reversal most times -- and that's pretty much what happened here.
I am looking forward to moving onward in the "Falling for Autumn Series."

Love reading a male point of view of my favorite books! Reading Blake's side of things made me want to read Falling for Autumn all over again. Blake really changed for the better because of meeting Autumn and was great to see him evolve because of love. Also, liked how his sister was in this book more and can not wait for her book to come out. WARNING: Don't read this book first! Because Blake's secret is told early on.

Love it!!!! What a good followup to 'Falling for Autumn'. It let us know just where Blake was coming from, where his mind went and, most importantly, WHY.
I want more and do hope the author gives us more insight into Autumn and Blake's future life, maybe as strong supporting characters in other books spun into a series.
I kept wanting Blake to tell Thomas that he KNEW he was a liar.... he KNEW that Autumn was innocent of what Thomas claimed.... How did he know? Well, Blake KNEW for certain.... not only because he believed Autumn, but because he was her FIRST! That right there tore all of Thomas' lies to pieces.

✅ STILL want to see those bullies and Autumn's ex to be hit with a bad, really bad, case of remorse. I want them to have to face the truth and pay the mental/emotional toll for everything they did.
✅ Autumn to become a big success, alongside Blake, while those ex-friends/bullies fail in their future endeavors???? It's time for some people to reap what they sowed.... Faye, Hunter, all the school bullies AND Thomas. Can't forget him. In this book,'Finding Autumn', Thomas still hasn't learned anything. It's time for him to LEARN ... for his own good! Some of life's best lessons come from having to face truths.
✅ Loved Blake standing up to Hunter, Sam and Dan. Don't understand how Faye got away with that Facebook page on Autumn. Looks like legal culpabilities there to me.
✅ Would love to know more about Blake's grandparents. Now that he's out from under his mom's wings, why not develop a good relationship with them. And, this also would allow Blake to finally learn who his dad, his REAL dad, was ...and what he was like. Maybe Blake got his athletic talents from his dad???? His insightfulness surely come from his dad, as we know first hand it wasn't inherited from his callas mother or learned from his manipulative stepdad.

For me more than half of this book was unnecessary. I didn't need to get Blakes POV. When you retell the exact same story from a different view it's really not all that much different. Repeating over and over. I pretty much skipped most of this book. When it gets to the part where she forgives him and its 2 months later is where you actually get to read new material. Although it wasn't said I hate how Blake feels that it is his responsibilty to support his mother. She is a grown ass woman who needs to be responsible for herself and quit mooching off her son.

I don't like books where author throws random numbers and then years don't add up.

H's 6yo when Thomas asks to marry his mom. When everything goes to sh*t hiss sister is 14, Thomas and his mom are married for almost 15 years. 6+15=21 but it's stated that he's freshman in college and that he's 19!

Love love love Blake, he had so much to overcome with his family and managed to become a better man through it all. Autumn was also amazing surviving what she did and coming out the other side they were a perfect fit for each other.

I definitely enjoyed Blake's book more than Autumn's. There is still a lot of inner monologue but not nearly as much. I hated how torn Blake was and I absolutely hated his mom. She's the devil!

I loved Falling for Autumn so it was really great to be able to read Blake's perception and thoughts. Blake's home life was pretty good until the day that his stepfather was arrested for sexually assaulting one of his students. He trusted, admired, and looked up to his stepfather so this changed everything. The day that Autumn walked into his life he wanted to see if she would prove his stepfather to be the man that he thought he was. Through time, he realized that Autumn wasn't what the man that raised him blamed her to be. She was innocent and the experience caused her to be withdrawn, scared, and very standoffish. Her life was ruined by that man but also by her supposed friends and boyfriend. Blake is a football god at Cook University, so not many people know his life or what he's been through. He is just thought of for his good looks and talent. But he's also forced by his family to always be saving the day and his wants and dreams are always pushed to the side. Autumn makes him feel things that he didn't know that he could feel and experience things that he never allowed himself to have. His love for her is so deep that he will do anything and go through anything to protect and be there for her. She makes him want something for himself for a change and believe that he deserves it.
This book is definitely worth reading but you need to read Falling for Autumn first.

A pretty good read but it wasn't really anything new. It has been a while since I read the first book in this series so it took me some time to re-familiarize myself with the story. I could appreciate the value in getting so see things from Blake's point of view, but because I already knew what was going to happen in the story I wasn't quite as into this book as I was with the first one. I did really appreciate the themes about not-judging by appearances and not letting other people's actions dictate your life - even more so than with the first book. This was because it was easier to see some of it from Blake's perspective. For example, the way he let his shame and guilt over what his stepfather did dictate his life or the way he let his gold-digging mother dictate his career choice because he felt like had to provide for her. Overall this was a pretty good read but I wouldn't recommend reading it if you've just read the first book. It is pretty much just the same story again but if you wait a while like I did that's not a bad thing. I felt like it was a good way to re-visit a familiar story in a slightly different way. I am much more excited about the next planned book in the series that will tell Delia's story.

I’m sorry but I didn’t enjoy this book. Usually I enjoy reading the guys P.O.V. more than the girls, but this one was the exception. The only reason I finished it was because I was hoping that it was better than Falling for Autumn, and because I hate leaving an unfinished book =/
This book only made me run back for the millionth time to J. Lynn’s “Wait for You” and “Trust in Me” (must reads!!!!)
This was Blake throughout the entire book “blah, blah, blah, I love Autumn, blah, blah, blah, I need to tell Autumn, blah, blah, blah, I’m no good for Autumn”. Goodness, his P.O.V. was more boring than Autumns. Maybe because I like my main men to take control of situations and show a little bit of a back bone, but I couldn’t find one thing attractive about Blake’s character. Not ones did he put a stop to his mother craziness – tiene Mamitis! Also, I felt that in this book Thomas should have admitted to his crime, and that his family was witness to what a really monster he was. But no, instead the author made all the characters brush Thomas’s crime under the rug. To me he still got away with it, regardless if he served time in prison.

All I can say is WOW! This book was great. Sure there were a few scenes that were the same as the other book but this time around you saw things from Blake's perspective and what he was thinking and feeling. You could see his struggle in the first book but now you see it all that much more.
I loved how this book took things farther into the future and where he and Autumn end up.
I saw a few complaints about his mom and Delia, but honestly, Delia wasn't the immature brat that so many others made her out to be. Sure, she could be annoying, but if you think about the age that she is in the book (15/16) then the attitude makes sense.
Are there any big secrets in this book? If you have read the first book then no. I think the 2 main struggles in the book was reading Blake struggle over his true feelings for Autumn and coming to accept who is step-father really was and standing up to him.
Great book. I would highly recommend the third, featuring his sister.

I loved reading this love story through Jakes POV I did feel like it was missing something in the beginning like Jake was going through his love story with Autumn to fast.. but this book is mostly about his conflict and emotion towards his family and toward the conflict he feels about his stepfather the men that hurt Autumn so much and was a father figure to him... their were so many emotions in his side of the story how to make everyone happy how to keep the love his life and the love for her sister and be the good boy his mom always wanted ...
I was kind dissapointed in the end of the story it does have extra chapter but I wanted to know what happen after SPOILER ALERT SORRY!!!! they promise their life together what happens after Autumn finish school whats next??
