A few good tips.
A few good tips.
There were a few good tips in this book, but I found most of the information remedial at best. Most of the advised started with do your homework and shop around and choose the best deal. Well, duh.
It advises that driving on the highway with your windows down causes drag and consumes more gas. I actually learned this from The Myth Busters. What it failed to also advise was that driving through town using your car's air conditioner would also burn a lot of gas. if you are going to cover one aspect of ac use, why not the other?
There is also advise on getting store credit cards in order to get financing deals or discounts at certain stores, i.e. furniture and clothing stores. I use this type of credit all the time in order to get free financing on expensive furniture or electronics. What the book fails to mention is that this type of credit does not look good on your credit report and can lower you credit score. if you ate going to offer advise, it should be as complete as possible, otherwise, you could be sending someone down the road ill equipped.
So, if you were just hatched and have no experience or sense as to how anything works, I recommend this book. Just wait till it is offered for free. for those who are looking for supplemental information as to what they already know, do an internet search our find another book. I gave this one three stars because, like I said, there are a few good tips and I managed to get this book for free.

The information in this book is very basic and great for young people starting their life. I wish I had read it 30 years ago.
