Lora Leigh is a New York Times bestselling author of erotic romance novels. Leigh started publishing with electronic publisher Ellora's Cave in 2003. Leigh's longest-running series is The Breeds. She won the 2009 RT Award for erotica. Leigh was born in Ohio and raised in Martin County, Kentucky, US.
This book is erotica, so stop reading if that's not your thing.
This book was horribly written and edited. Really, the publisher should be ashamed and should fire the editor. What happened? Did she lose her red pen? Maybe she was angry with her employer and sent the manuscript through with nothing but proofreading? I don't know, but the end result is an unbelievably bad novel.
For one, the author seems to have a short list of words that she tried to work into nearly every paragraph as many times as possible. I think she was going for a world record - how many times can you use the word "pure" in a single work of fiction? (Pure this, pure that, pure crap!)
Second, the "alpha" male characters came across as smug, self-satisfied, dim-wits, not strong men. The rants from the main hero (Cam) were redundant and ill fitted to the character - who could ever think like him?
Third, the protagonist was not only an idiot woman, she also was too much of a work of fiction to be even remotely sympathetic and believeable. A virgin who has m-f-m menage five times in three days and suffers no painful consequence? That's not erotic - that's sexual torture.
Forth, the book was redundant. It could have been cut in half and no one would have noticed the different. I got the distinct impression I was reading passages that had been cut and paste repeatedly. And the sex scenes were nearly identical most of the time. It made menage sound like the most boring routine possible.
Then there were the logical leaps. The key evidence that just shows up in the 11th hour with no hint it was coming. Or the random relationship that the reader didn't know about between Chase and another character until he was forced to kill her. Or, the most bizarre of all, Chase and Jaci both know Cam was abuse as a teen, but they keep demanding to know how, as though that's going to help. Not once do either of them suggest he see a therapist - unbelievable.
This book was frustrating and not worth the time. I doubt I'll read anything else by this author for a long time.
I felt like this story was on auto repeat with the charters thoughts, words and actions. I felt like I read the same story over and over in different ways the character could think up of the same info in their heads.
I wanted the threats and issues Jaci was dealing with. I didn't want Cam walking around like a 24/7 viagra ad. If he wasn't aroused, then he was big crankosourus- all broody, scowling, irritated, and he just couldn't stop thinking the same things and hiding his past through the whole story. Honestly- that got so damn old.
I felt like Jaci's drama was just a waste and it was all talk until the end. And seriously- she should have walked away and just let him grovel until he shared his story, but no!
This was a good erotic romance, but it was also one that frustrated me at times. It's also a bit of a dark, emotional tale, more so than any of the other Bound Hearts books. I don't think I'd consider it one of my favorites of the series, but I liked it a lot.
Wicked Pleasure is the ninth book in Lora Leigh's Bound Hearts series. The series is based on a group of men who enjoy (consensually) sharing their women with a third.
Jaci Wright and the Falladay twins grew up together in Oklahoma. Though Jaci was five years younger, she tagged along after Cam, always wanting to be around him. She sensed his need for a friend. The twins life had been rough after the death of their parents, and for Cam, Jaci soothed something inside him. As they grew older, Cam's feelings for Jaci became sexual. But he had a darkness inside him that was constantly growing, one that initiated a habit of sharing lovers with his brother.
At 21 one, Jaci was faced with the truth of the brothers sharing, and she ran. Now, seven years later, she must face them again. This time, she's not running away from what they want. But the relationship that develops between her and Cam, and Chase by extension, is filled with tension and secrets. Cam won't reveal the pain of his past to either Jaci or his brother. Jaci fears what will happen if she tells Cam about an enemy she has. And Chase is caught up in the middle. If Jaci and Cam hope to have a future together, they'll have to learn to trust each other with their secrets.
Being a Lora Leigh book, this is definitely one hot story. There's a whole lot of sex in this book. Is there too much? Maybe a little. Or maybe the scenes could have varied some more. They all seemed very similar. Regardless, they are definitely smokin' hot.
Cam is a very typical Lora Leigh Uber Alpha. He's demanding, dominant and a bit on the coercive side. I didn't love him as a character, but I liked him enough. Occasionally I thought he got a little too brutish, but nothing too over the top. Chase is similar to Cam in many ways, but a little bit more sensitive and gentle. I look forward to reading his story.
And Jaci...I liked her, but she also frustrated me some. I wished she'd stood up to Cam more. His scarred emotions had him treating her somewhat badly at times and he refused to discuss why. I thought Jaci should have told him to fuck off if he couldn't be honest with her. Instead, she was always so overcome with lust that she'd let him do her. I know she loved him, but that doesn't me she should have let him get away with what he did.
Overall, there was just a lot of secret keeping in this book from just about everyone. I got kinda annoyed at times with all the "I can't tell yous" and whatnot. I just wanted them to spill it all and move on.
There were also a few inconsistencies in the book that bothered me. For one, near the beginning, Chase and Cam lost their parents at 13 and had their aunt take custody. Then later in the book it's changed to 15. Kind of a big deal when you consider what happened to Cam.
Also...(beware, spoiler ahead!)...the thing with Moriah at the end. Now, I loved the twist Leigh added. I hadn't really seen that coming and I thought Leigh did a great job making it all fit and make sense. But one thing bothered me. Suddenly, at the end, there are references to Chase caring for Moriah and knowing her for years - and hence being destroyed by what happened. But I don't remember it ever being mentioned in the book about Chase knowing her or caring about her. It was like that detail was plopped into the end just to twist the emotional knife. And I found it annoying.
There were also some series-wide details that seemed to have been changed. Some of the things mentioned about The Club didn't fit what I remembered from past books. The number of members, how long its been around, the extreme secrecy, and there was a comment that no sex acts took place in the club yet I distinctly remember one of the heroines getting nailed there. So those inconsistencies bothered me some.
All in all, it was a good book, but not a perfect one for me. Which is how I feel about most Lora Leigh books. I've liked all of them, I think, but I haven't loved any of them. I think Lora Leigh fans, and fans of the Bound Hearts series, would like this one, though.
WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex, explicit language, m/f sex, m/f/m sex with twins, anal sex, rough sex, some dominance issues, and mentions of sexual abuse of a minor

Man oh man, I loved my twins. Cam or Chase? I'm leaning towards Chase because he's funny, smart, fiercely loyal and he doesn't mind sharing. For instance, in bed. As for Cam? He's broody, grumpy, and bears his scars both inside and out. This is his story, by the way. Oh, and both my C-boys have mad bedroom skillz. Two for one, you really can't beat that deal.
Anyway, at times this was a tough book to get through. I really enjoyed it, but the writing was so freaking DENSE. It was like a woman packing half her closet for a weekend trip. Ms, Leigh is so good at stuffing each paragraph full of emotion, but nearly every one of them then needed to be unpacked. And I'm telling you I grew weary of it at times. A hefty edit could really help with zero worry of losing any plot or emotion, I imagine.
Another thing, flipping the POV, often between each paragraph, threw me at times. Though, I loved getting into everyone's head. Call me selfish for wanting to know what both Cam AND Chase were thinking, I can take it. As for, Jaci, I mostly liked her, though she could be wishy-washy. Yes, the girl had trouble setting boundaries. Each and every time she drew a line, Cam obliterated that sucker. It was frustrating as hell. But then I tried to put myself in her panties and I knew mine would go poof in Cam's hands.
Speaking of, disappearing undergarments, this was scorching hot. Still, sometimes, I felt like I was reading a narration of three playing a long-ass game of Twister. There were times I was flipping my Kindle around trying to figure out what body part went where. It really threw me out of the scene, unfortunately. 'B+' for effort, though.
Next, I'm backing up in Lora Leigh's Bound Hearts series to read Courtney and Ian's story, Shameless.
Well, there's no denying that this is a plenty hot book. Many, many sex scenes of various types including some menages with the hero's twin brother, so definitely not a book for the faint of heart!
Cam, the hero of this book, has suffered some horrible, heartbreaking abuse as a teenager, and it has left him scarred emotionally. So much so that he cannot bring himself to actually 'sleep' in a bed with a women; he 'does the deed' and then he's outta there. A bed has too many painful memories for him. The heroine, Jaci, has loved Cam since she was a young teenager, and desperately wants to break through the walls protecting his heart and connect emotionally with him, but doesn't know what to do. Cam will not confide in anyone about the abuse he has suffered, not even to his own twin. He feels too much shame and guilt about what happened to him. And the shame and the guilt has messed him up sexually, enough so that he cannot be with a woman without his brother participating too. But even though Jaci has come a long way from the naive young girl she once was, can she accept the lifestyle Cam insists on in order to be with him?
While I liked this book a lot, I kept asking myself, 'why doesn't he get some psychological help?' and 'how could anyone carry around all this guilt and shame without confiding in someone'? But of course, if he did that, there would be no book! So, for me, most of this book was spent wondering when Cam was finally going to break down and tell someone, anyone, what happened to him. Between that, and the endless sexcapades between Jaci, Cam and twin brother Chase, it dragged it down just a bit for me. Luckily, things picked up again toward the end of the book, when all the secrets(of all the characters) finally were revealed, including one about Chase that I didn't see coming.
Probably not my favorite of the 'Bound Hearts' series, but a pretty enjoyable read for me nonetheless, and I'm sure it will appeal to most of Lora Leigh's fans!

Hmmm…I really enjoyed it, but I definitely had my moments of frustration. Jaci has had her eye on Cam Falladay since she was a pre-pubescent girl. He was 15 and hurting, and it would be years until she learned the awful magnitude of why, but she did the best she could as a young girl and always made Cam smile. As Jaci began to mature and fill out, Cam noticed and finally decided to act on his feelings for her while on leave from duty. He drags her away to his place, things get hot and heavy,..and then OOPS! Cam forgot to mention his hot brother Chase is always his third. So the rumors about the Falladay twins are true.
Fast forward a few years – Jaci’s still a virgin who has been pining away for Cam with her B.O.B. She arrives in Virginia for a design job at Sinclair’s mansion, namely his discreet ménage club, which also employs Cam & Chase. Cam has gone long enough without Jaci, and he’s determined to claim her. Of course, Jaci and Cam pick up where they left off, but not without Chase! Oh, no! Cam will not have sex without his trusted third. At first, Jaci doesn’t mind. She knew it was a package deal, and some smoking hot ménage sex ensues. But it doesn’t take long for Jaci to begin to want more, and tension begins to build between the threesome. At this point, I began to grow impatient with Cam – his refusal to even cuddle with Jaci after sex! He kept skirting away and refused to sleep with her. Cam is one seriously damaged man – and the reasons behind his darkness are horrific – far worse than I imagined. But even so, IMHO, it wasn’t enough to justify Cam’s peculiar behavior. I especially was irked by the whole “can’t look at her in the eyes during sex unless Chase’s there…or else she’ll see the darkness…see into my soul!!” *cue the dramatic music*
Thankfully, Jaci is willing to do what it takes to break down Cam’s defenses, and with the encouragement of Chase, she’s able to do just that. The chemistry between the h/h was incredibly hot, and albeit slowly – I enjoyed watching Cam change for the better…on the hot sports car...in the rain *yes!*…in his bed.
There are definitely some loose ends regarding Chase, so I’m looking forward to his book, “Only Pleasure.” I also loved the side characters, Courtney and Ian Sinclair, so I am inspired to hop backwards in this series and read their book too.
I was looking so forward to reading this book and I was not disappointed. Cameron Falladay is in love with Jaci Wright. He also likes to share his women with his twin brother Chase. Cameron is the victim of a terrible past that he has not shared with anyone. Throughout the book you can feel his pain. Jaci also had something horrible happen to her which she is not sharing with the twins. This book has romance, suspense and tender, emotional moments. Of course it also has alot of hot sex. Very steamy. This book was loaned to me but I will absolutley get my own copy.
Wicked Pleasure & Only Pleasure These two books are companion pieces and should be read in order or you'll be having several "huh?" moments with the plot in the second book. Excellent reads: suspenseful action, likable characters [it's so much fun to watch the heroes try to avoid 'commitment' - when they are already committed body and soul:] and definitely hot sex scenes.
You do no have to read the other books before these - the characters do make appearances and it would enrich your reading to know their backgrounds - but it is not a requirement.

Veamos...
I love the background for the "Wicked..." novels. The Club outside Washington D.C. is a long-standing and extremely private organization. Its members share a certain notoriety that comes from being Fortune 500 CEOs, congressmen, and other famous movers and shakers. Its members also share the need to engage in sexual ménage activities with their female lovers/wives. Therein the extreme secrecy attached to The Club. Members sign confidentiality agreements and The Club has a ‘punitive committee’ composed of very powerful individuals who can and will ruin anyone betraying their secrets financially, socially, and politically if needed. However, The Club is more than just a sex club; it’s also a social setting for like-minded men. Women only gain admission as ‘guests’ of members. Our heroine, Jaci Wright, has recently been hired to do some decorating renovations to the interior of The Club.
Cameron and Chase Falladay are identical twins in charge of security for The Club. The story of why these two sometimes need to share a woman is slowly revealed throughout the novel. They are also members of The Club and have been waiting for Jaci for seven years. Waiting for her to acknowledge her own needs and accept what they need from her. Now that her new job has put her within reach, Cam is done with waiting. He knew she was ‘the one’ for him from the time he was 18 and she was 13. He left for the military at 18 and returned home wounded in both body and spirit. He is tormented by memories, anger, and dark lusts…but more than anything, he’s tormented by the thought of losing Jaci.
Jaci has her own problems and issues. She’s managed to make some pretty powerful enemies and is torn by her love for, and need to protect, Cam. She doesn’t understand why he needs to share her with his brother. This ‘unnatural desire’ is what scared her away seven years ago. But now, THIS time, she feels smarter and stronger…surely she can make Cam, and only Cam, her own. Her efforts to tame Cam (and sometimes Chase) and her struggles to be independent and solve her own problems without relying on Cam drive him nuts!
These two (okay three) certainly have a lot of issues to iron out. The intense love scenes and powerfully erotic power struggles are part and parcel of the story. I have been a fan of Ms Leigh’s books since I read my first e-book by her. This is yet another of her stories that will have a spot on my keeper shelf.
Lora Leigh is a favorite author of mine. No one writes a sex scene like her. She gives you a front seat into the sexual happenings of the characters. She usually matches the sex scenes with an equally scorching story.
What kept this book from being her usual 4 - 5 star novel:
1. Ms Leigh lost me when a 28 year old virgin involves herself in a menage. Her first penetration is anal without prep. Then minutes later she gets penetrated vaginally without prep. This double dicking is done without so much as an ouch?! Really?! From that point on it was difficult to believe the pretense of the story.
2. The secrets surrounding Cam and Jaci's lives seemed a little forced. I wanted to know what it was that caused Cam to be unable to have sex without his brother's involvement. I felt that what happened to Cam was devastating, but it was difficult for me to see him as a strong, capable survivor. His inner turmoil was such a contradiction to his perceived outer strength. It was hard to sell him as a strong capable person given all of his mental torments.
Jaci and Cam were involved in this merry go round of sex which led to no resolution or growth. Those sex scenes became old about half way through the book.
3. We believe Jaci was going to be a savior to Cam. I thought surely she will know how to ease his pain. Instead she does things that borders on the 'too stupid to live' syndrome.
I love books with tortured heros. But in this case I would have been more impressed if Ms Leigh did not try to wring emotions from me and just put out an old fashioned menage a trois novel. It was an okay story and fairly sizzling sex scenes. There were lots of unnecessary distractions that dragged on in this novel that lessened my enjoyment of the book.
But the author is Lora Leigh. I am still a loyal fan.
okay so I did not see THAT coming... I still don't get why people likes threesomes or sharing your lover. Fine, it'll be more pleasurable for the female but shouldn't the POSSESIVENESS override the sharing?
To be fair, it is WAY better narrated than Haven of Obedience . There's emotional turmoils and inner struggles going on, but really, the males are just TOO masculine and TOO: I'm a man, I protect and I have my pride etc... Cam: Overbearing protective dominant and possessive man but is OK with SHARING his lover with his TWIN ? He's a man of his words and he's the darker one of the twin..He's willing to kill anyone who hurt his Jaci. K. He's very protective of his Jaci and his brother but he is supremely prideful (to the point of stupidity xD )
Jaci: Innocent Jaci who was drawn to Cam like moth to flame. Wants to be independent, to solve her own problems... which is a good trait.
Chase: The twin which has more humour. Always headbutt with Cam. He's in a way protective of his brother. He keeps going on about the twin bond thing.... I'm still not sure what's the significance of the twin bond....
So when Cam and Jaci's secrets are revealed, it's not as momentous as I expected. Hence a bit of a let down but a hot steamy read with too much suspense on making the readers wonder : what the hell are their secrets ??
The pace was steady at first, gotten slower from the middle to near end, then the climax just rushes through.
A bit too draggy for my taste, and one last question: In reality does that kind of club exists?
This was a pretty good book. Jaci Wright has loved Cameron Falladay as long as she could remember. When she was thirteen, she told her dark knight in no uncertain terms to wait for her to grow up that she loved him, and would always make the bad things go away. Shortly after her twenty first birthday, she had offered herself and her virginity to him, but when she couldn't be with both he and his twin Chase Jaci has been running from the Falladay twins, Chase and Cam, for seven years now. Jaci travels to Virginia to do a decorating job for her best friend, Courtney Sinclair, and swiftly finds herself knee deep in the secretive group that the Sinclair's and the Falladay twins are all a part of. Cam and Chase make it clear from the start that they have every intention of seducing Jaci into their bed and their lives, and this time, Jaci finds it impossible to resist the sexy brothers. Both Cam and Jaci have secrets that threaten to tear their relationship apart. They must learn to open up to each other if their relationship is to survive. Congressman Richard and Annalee Roberts have been tormenting Jaci for the past five years. They virtually blackballed her in every social circle, threatened her, and made everyone hesitant to hire her as an interior designer. Cam had a secret of his own his Aunt was pimping him out to older women. This was a good book and I forgot how good this series is. This book was well written like all of Ms. Leigh's books. I like this series because each book can be read as a stand alone. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
I have nothing against threesomes or foursomes or fivesomes but I don't get why it's so "romantic" in books to have the main girl have sex with two men when she obviously loved only one of them. I get it if she had love both of them in terms of "I can't live without you-you both complete me" and not in a "You're both hot and you guys are a package deal" kind of way and she ends up with both twins at the end which is unlikely but hey, it's a twist.
I think it's worse since I knew the chick glance at back cover Jaci was in love with Cam so it turned me off that she can have sex with both Cam and Chase when in truth Chase is just a side attraction and Cam is suppose to be the "hero." I get it that Chase is there to hold Cam's darker side but it just didn't work for me.
I'm not naiive or stupid when it comes to sex but when it comes to my H/H(s) I rather they don't have sex with other people who means nothing to their relationship and their development throughout the book. But that's just me sitting delusionaly in my corner.
The book confused me and I skipped all the sex scenes which says a lot. I really need to lay off Lora Leigh.
This book starts out very hot, and that's were you think it is going right...well it does stay hot, but Cam is hiding a very dark secret and Jaci spends the whole book trying to break through to his heart. It does have a HEA ending and is worth the read.
Jaci has been good friends with twins Cam and Chase for awhile. She has been in love with Cam since she was 13 and he was 18.
"Wait on me, Cam. I'll grow up and I'll take all the bad things away"
Eight years later Jaci is hoping to see Cam at a party. Now that she is 21 he will not be making her go home like he use to. Or she thought. Cam is 26 now and has wanted Jaci for as long as he can remember. He wants to keep her safe and protected from other guys that come to these parties. This is when the sexual tension starts and the dominate side of Cam comes out.
"You can go home with me, or I can take you back to your parent's," he rasped. "Which one?" "The Party---" You' re not staying here." He backed her against the front of the truck, lifting her until he was wedged fully against her, his hands sliding beneath the skirt to the bare flesh revealed by the thong she wore.
Now seven years later Jaci runs into Chase at a party hosted by her dear friend Courtney and her husband Ian. She finds out that Chase and Cam also work for Ian at his mansion, where she will be working on a design for the mansion. She has been running away from Cam and Chase for seven years since a very uneventful night happened between all of them. This is where the story gets interesting. Another client Jaci has done designs for has started some nasty rumors. Cam and Chase are not too pleased about the gossip going around. Cam made a promise to Jaci years ago that he would kill any man who hurt her. The Twins take it upon them selves to try and get the truth about the rumors and Jaci is not to happy about them meddling in her business. Chase and Cam are very protective of Jaci, but Chase has a better way of dealing with it. As for Cam he can not control his anger over someone hurting Jaci.
"Cam, you can't contol her life here." "I have no intention of controlling her life." Cam stated. "I'm going to become her life, Chase. There's a difference.
Something bad happened from Cam’s past that he is unable to have sex with a woman by himself and spend the night with a woman. I could not flip my pages fast enough to find out what happened to Cam. Lora Leigh did an amazing job keeping readers waiting for the his big secret. The only way Jaci can have Cam is if she is willing to have Chase too. It broke my heart at times reading this because she has always loved Cam and for her to have his heart she is willing to sleep with both of them. But the hardest and saddest part was when Cam was not able to sleep with Jaci in bed after their ménage. And the reason why. This goes on for a while through out the book. Jaci has let him have it a few times because of this. Loved it when Cam would have his little jealous/possessive moments. One of my fave quotes from the book.
Khalid: "There, my reputation is now once again intact, you may inform Paige you were ravished after all." Jaci: "You are a rogue." She laughed. Cam: "He's also endangered if he doesn't take his fucking hands off you"
As for Chase he is the sweet brother that can not tell Jaci no and she can walk all over him. He also loves Jaci but not the way Cam does. He knows that Cam is one that has Jaci heart. Love Chase and at times was rooting for him to have Jaci’s heart when Cam was being pig headed.
This is truly a love story where your hoping and wandering how Cam and Jaci are going to get their HEA. Lora Leigh not only wrote an erotic ménage but a good storyline with a suspenseful plot. She has you wandering through out the book about secrets and the evil people who started the gossip. The emotions run so deep with some of the sadness and anger. I love it when I read a ménage with tasteful graphic sex scenes, emotions and a good plot. Wicked Pleasure is really Cam and Jaci story on how she will do what ever it takes to have his heart. It was a nice and painful at times journey to see if she can have him trust her enough to open up about his bad past.
This is one of my fave from the Bound Heart series.
I don’t know what to say about this book. Someone else commented it was poorly edited and I have to agree with that. It was difficult to read, the language didn’t flow. I had to re-read some parts, and with the two male characters (Cam and Chase), having such similar names you lose track of who is doing what in the sex scenes - LOL, I think there were definitely some extra body parts being flung about.
There was quite a bit of a certain Act that is not in my preferred repertoire, so that may have lessened my enjoyment of the book, my own fault – given the theme, there was bound to be.
I also got a bit board with Cam’s big secret – as awful as it was – I suppose I didn’t relate to his need to keep it from those who loved him so much. Maybe I am just mean, but I kinda felt like – “come on get it out in the open already”.
*WARNING: definately NOT for the concservative reader. Contains explicit sexual content and foul language*
Wicked Pleasure was a very fitting title. VERY HOT & EROTIC!! This book grabbed my attention from page 1 and didn't let go, I didn't want to put it down...I couldn't help but like the twins. My favorite was Chase with his sense of humor, but Cam was just as likeable with his outer hardness and inner protectiveness. And the "bad-boy" in both made them that much more enjoyable. There was also an emotion aspect to the story, it wasn't a tear-jerker but there was still a connection to the pain/emotion experienced by Cam and Chase....Most stories are center on a male and female character and although this one did as welll I felt that the twins took centerstage.
There's a place on everybody's bookshelf for a bit of good erotica, but this is not it. I can't for the life of me figure out why this woman's writing is so popular: this is angst-ridden teen melodrama with a lot of unrealistic sex thrown in. Everybody is emotionally tortured and anguished and the plot makes no sense at all. Worse still, the prose is as contorted as the silly story ("You never know what we all might learn that we haven't already"?!!!)
Shannon McKenna writes better romantic thrillers and Emma Holly writes better sex scenes, and BOTH simply write better.

FINAL DECISION: Filled with angst and drama, this is my favorite of the series. Cam is a tormented man desperately trying to keep the woman he loves without revealing his pain and torment. Sexy and emotional, this is a well rounded book.
THE STORY: Jaci Wright has loved Cam Falladay since she was a child but for seven years she has been running from Cam and his twin brother Chase. When she was twenty one she thought that she was finally going to get the night she wanted with Cam until she found out that Chase is part of the deal. Her current job for the Club (unknown to Jaci the Club is a menage club) brings her back into the Falladays sphere.
OPINION: This book depicts a difficult relationship. Cam and Jaci love one another from the start of this book but both have secrets. In Cam's case, his secrets prevent him from having a normal relationship with Jaci. He cannot sleep with a woman, cannot hold and comfort her, and he needs to keep himself emotionally removed during sex. Despite this, Cam is a strong man. He has survived and managed to cope as well as he could. Now Jaci is demanding more that survival from Cam and his coping mechanisms are crumbling.
The two have a very difficult relationship journey in this book. Abuse, pain, shame, despair, love, desperation, desire are all explored in this book. Jaci is incredibly strong in this book. It is her love, her devotion, her ability to love Cam even when he is acting like a jerk that centers this book. Her willingness to accept Cam's limitations even for a short time and yet continue to push his boundaries makes this book.
The menage relationship is also more complicated here. Jaci and Chase are friends, and they both love Cam. The menage relationship is exciting for them but it is also a way for both of them to connect with Cam who keeps himself closed up most of the time. The menage is neither one where there is a romantic love between the woman and the two men nor one where the man is just a third functionary. Chase, Cam and Jaci have an emotional connection that goes beyond sex but doesn't involve romantic love between Jaci and Chase. Leigh is pushing and exploring different versions of the menage relationship as the Bound Hearts series continues.
I enjoyed this book. Sexy and hot, it also has a deep emotional core between the characters.
WORTH MENTIONING: This book has a MMF menage within a MF relationship.
CONNECTED BOOKS: WICKED PLEASURE is book 9 in the Bound Hearts series. This book can be read on its own. The series is connected only by the appearances of characters. The story is self contained.
Bruttarello.

There's more to this book than meets the eye. Three and a half stars, but don't let the synopsis fool you.
This one's a bit more lust-driven than my taste for erotica usually runs, but there's such a powerful story here that I don't want to discredit the book just because it isn't particularly suited to me. Your heart will ache for Cameron Falladay, even if you aren't certain til late in the book what exactly he endured as a teenager, and though there is graphic sex in the book, the author does an eequally good job of exploring the depths of emotion at work inside Jaci, Cam, and Chase. It does take a while to link the love inside the hearts of the characters with the hot sex, but once that's done, the story really works.
If I had made a decision based solely on the book's synopsis, I wouldn't have read it, because it gave me the impression I would get three hundred pages of sordid sex with no character development and no real story. But nothing could be farther from the truth. There are "deep", complex characters here, and their motives will break your heart and make you love them more for it. That's possibly the most powerful aspect of the novel, the portrayal of a tormented Cam, the bravery with which he battles his demons, and the soul-searing beauty of a scarred and wounded heart which refuses to stop loving, protecting, and giving, in spite of all the pain it has endured.
If you have no problem with the graphic nature of this book, then there is a story here that will stay with you for a long time, and it's well worth the read.
Okay, so I’m not going to waste a lot of time with this review. WICKED PLEASURE was not a good book for me. I found it very difficult to keep up with the bipolar, dark, and controlling men. The plot was difficult and the characters way too complex.
Cam Falladay went through pretty horrific abuse by his aunt at the age of 15. After suffering through that and a stint in the army, his twin Chase can hardly recognize him.
There’s only one person who’s ever gotten to Cam and that’s Jaci Wright. She’s ran from the twin’s and their bedroom requirements, but when a job puts them back together, Cam isn’t letting her go this time.
Yet, Cam won’t reveal the past and Jaci won’t talk about a political couple who tarnished her reputation. Cam has so many hang-ups because of what he went through, but his pride has forced him to keep it from everyone he’s ever cared about. Everything was so confusing and nothing was revealed until the very end.
I checked this book out following a conversation about erotic fiction with a fellow librarian. I took this title, she took another and we later compared. We concurred on the following: a) the format is the same as any other romance, it seems as if the lovers are destined for eachother but a lot of drama is in the way...and of course there is a very mean person at the peak of the drama b) the language is very strong during intimate scenes
In regard to this particular title:
I did not read the entire book, I just couldn't. The story line was terrible. A young girl is in love with a traumatized man, and after almost losing her virginity to him at age 19 she flees for a new life. Of course she stumbles upon him years later and succumbs physicallyto him and his twin brother. The story moves on from there with what seemed to being strange twists and turns and several more threesomes. Just a little too over the top for me.
I was skeptical about this book from the beginning. As I started reading it the first few chapters captured my attention. After that as I continued reading I noticed there are so many chapters that all seem the same. It's like reading the same book over and over again. However I forced myself to finish this book ( yes force because it was a book that's hard to read) and was very surprised by the ending. The sex scenes were kind of repetitive. cam front chase back. this book had a very "wicked" ending. I won't spoil it for others but all I can say is I did not see it coming. what happened to Cam is just horribly disgusting. All in all it was an OK book. something I most likely will not read again.
So I was a little intrigued after reading Forbidden Pleasure, and wanted to see if all the books in this series are about the same thing. I realize these are only books 8 and 9 of a series that seems pretty large. But I'm thinking they are all about the same particular subject matter. My delicate sensibilities can't handle much more I don't think. haha I really don't get the whole sharing thing. I can't understand their "need" for it. It doesn't make sense to me. Even after reading their explanations, I don't think it makes much sense. *shrugs*
