Celebrity Couple. Perfect in the public eye; imperfect in private. Perfectly imperfect for each other.
Reaper and Harmony are finally off the road and ready to just be Garrett and Hannah. Excitement turns into fear when they start to learn more about each other. Gone is the glitz and glamour of hotel rooms and living on the road.
Now it’s real-life, and they have to learn how to deal with one another on a day-to-day basis.
Will they be able to withstand the pressure, or will they fold under the weight of the public machine?
They know the only thing they can do is take it one day at a time
It is an awesome read that you dont want to miss out on!
One Day at a time starts out where Rockin Country left off.We cross paths with all the wonderful characters, of course Garrett ( Reaper) and Hannah who are just the darnest couple.
When Larmaie came out with The Rockin series I was a little skeptical to read it going from the Heaven Hill series to such a different story line but damn that girl proved me wrong when she introduced me to Garrett.
He can be a total ass hat but once you get to know him he is a total sweetheart.
In One Day at a Time you will fall more in love with him . He just knows all the right thing to say
Damn you Laramie you seriously made me think i was having an affair with a
gorgeous fictional character! I was laughing a bit in this book and my son and hubby thought I was losing it. Garrett if so my new Book Boyfriend!
Than There is Hannah is your usual southern belle who is so darn sweet you cant help but love her. She has had a sorta rough background and in this book there is a trip to the hospital which as you on your toes hoping and praying she is all right. There is no denying anyone can ever dislike her she is AWESOME and man oh man does that girl love Garrett!
One day at a Time shows the obstacles that test there love for one another especially with the damn Paparazzi seriously they are the worst! Stupid gossip magazines!
Once they over go a few bumps in the road it is just simply amazing. Garrett loves Hannah more than anything in the world it is perfect I seriously LOVE there story because it shows no matter what can be thrown at them they can get thru it! Perfect ending too it really made my day with a good ending!
Laramie did a wonderful job with this novella the epilogue done did me in and I cant wait until
Rockin Country #2 so I can continue on there journey!
Don't Forget Laramie also has the Heaven Hill Series!!
A solid 4.5 stars for the follow-up novella! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
In the first book of Rockin' Country, adorable Harmony (Hannah) a successful country singer meets pierced and tatted bad boy Reaper (Garrett)and his band of heavy metal rockers. Opposites do attract and after much crazy turmoil and interference, they find their way into each other's lives and hearts. In this story, they are away from the crowds of fans and demands of their careers and are trying to see what they can become together, on their own terms, just the two of them in the real world. They find their love is still being tested...people are cruel, the tabloids are evil, vicious creatures who want to make a buck on a story no matter how much it can hurt someone. The young lovers find themselves tested yet again, when health issues and insecurities and problems from the past come back to cause major obstacles to their happiness. But this is really a sweet story and getting through the tough times in life to find true love and happiness. I really enjoy this kind of tender and youthful romance as a change from my usual darker and gritty reads. The ending was sweet and very romantic and this book is suitable for a mature age teen although there is some sexuality and other content that might be too intense for younger readers.
**** 4.5 **** "finding an HEA away from the spotlight" stars
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Laramie can write a beautiful love story that has you swooning over the main characters; rather it be a biker or a hot rocker!
One Day At A Time starts off right where Only The Beginning stopped. Hannah and Garrett are spending some time together while they are both off of tour. Things seem to be going perfect but everyone knows the old saying "It is too good to be true". The paparazzi (evil assholes) cause some problems for the happy couple and you get worried for a few but in the end true love wins.
I LOVE Garrett, but there is one point in this book where I wanted to slap him for being so STUPID. In the end he makes up for his moment of weakness and you fall in love with him all over again. Hannah and Garrett never do anything the conventional way so you will not be surprised with the stuff they do in this book.
One Day At A Time is a 4 star book that you should one-click on June 13th. I love their story and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out Fall/Winter 2014. I know this seems like a short review but I did not want to give too much away so y'all could be surprised.
I received an ARC of this book and offer only an honest review. You know that feeling when you read a book and you absolutely love the characters? Then the book is over and you find yourself wondering what would happen next. I felt this way about Garrett and Hannah and the whole bunch. I am once again left a lttle broken hearted that it's over but at least I know there is more to come. I will not spoil it for anyone but it's definitely worth a read. I cannot wait to read more.
Laramie Briscoe did it again!!I loved this and now cannot wait for the next one!! I love that Laramie touch's on the taboo subjects that everyone acts like is not happening. You can't help but love Reaper and Harmony!! I can't wait to see where their journey takes them next. Their story is the country singer/rocker star version of Dirty Dancing's Johnnie and Baby.
I was so happy to see this novella as I wondered what happened to Hannah and Garrett. This really showed some important learning a couple goes through in a new relationship. I am thrilled to see there will be a 4 th installment.
Quick little update to Hannah and Garrett's story. Same characters here. Same easy reading. Sex scenes are just as hot as the first installment. Characters are just as believable and likeable. Love the HEA.
A glimpse into their world once they have officially moved beyond tour. However, I felt like it was a bit forced, the drama that is and unnecessary. I would have been happy reading about them just being a couple, not out on the road.

One Day At A Time book 1.5 in the Rockin’ Country Series by Laramie Briscoe takes place right where Only The Beginning left off with country music sweetheart, Hannah aka Harmony headed to the California home of her insanely hot rock star boyfriend Garrett aka Reaper while they are both on a break from touring.
I thought I was in love with this book couple in the first book, well I fell in love even more in this novella. It had me hooked from the beginning and the love that Hannah and Garrett have for each other was really awesome to see shine in the time that they had together away from the craziness that is their careers. I really love how Hannah fits so perfectly in Garrett’s world, even his dog Havoc loves Harmony.
Things are going really great for them until the ugly world of the tabloids threatens all the hard work Hannah has done to better herself, to feel better about herself and believe in herself as Hannah the person and not Harmony the celebrity. Garrett is right there by her side, working with Hannah’s best friend, Shell, to make sure that Hannah doesn’t succumb to the media pressure and fall into old habits.
I am not going to give any spoilers away but fans of this couple will not be disappointed. Hannah will make you cry, Garrett will make you swoon and the two of them together will make you sigh!
“So completely in love with you, Han” he whispered as the two of them tried to control their breathing.
“Yeah,” she sighed. “Same here, big guy. Totally in love with you too.”
One Day At A Time was an amazing book. When I was done reading it I could not stop smiling. One of my most favorite things about Laramie Briscoe is that she blows me away with the development of her characters. A lot of times when I have read a series it is only the main characters that are fully developed and it was refreshing to see that even our beloved secondary characters like Jared, Shell, Brad and Stacey were developed beautifully in this book.
I highly recommend adding One Day At A Time to your TBR

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of serial type romances so it surprises me just a little bit how much I’ve enjoyed both books so far in Laramie Briscoe’s Rockin’ Country series and I think it’s because even though these books don’t have a defined ending, the characters are at a good place when they end; their relationship isn’t in jeopardy, one of them isn’t clinging to life, and they aren’t split apart. Is everything clear on how life will turn out for them? No, but the reader has a good indication of what’s to come with them and I think that’s why I can handle these books. That and the fact that I absolutely love the hero Garrett “Reaper” Thompson heavy metal’s bad boy and I’ve grown to adore Hannah “Harmony” Stewart country music’s sweetheart. One Day At A Time picks up where Only The Beginning left off, both Garrett and Hannah have a break in their schedules and they head to Garrett’s home in California for some rest and relaxation. I loved watching these two learn more about one another and seeing each other as themselves, not who they are on tour or in public. They both have moments of doubt, they have to deal with rumors, innuendo, and tabloid trash and they both have to learn to completely trust one another. Given their history with people who have hurt them in the past the last one is very difficult for both of them. I liked watching Hannah start to take more responsibility for her life and her actions. I won’t say that I’m not concerned about some of her behavior and the fact that she probably needs counseling, but I was satisfied that with Garrett’s help she seems stronger and better able to deal with her issues. Garrett wasn’t without his moments of uncertainty but luckily he has good friends and family to help him talk through his issues and get his head back on straight. I will admit the cynic in me is concerned about many aspects of their relationship as they move forward mainly because of the speed in which they fell in love and the fact that I’ve lived a long life and know how hard it can be when you are separated from the one you love and that’s without dealing with the paparazzi and hard core fans. Despite my reservations, I very much enjoyed this installment in the lives of Reaper and Harmony and I’m curious as to where the author will take them in the future. This series is much “sweeter” than Ms. Briscoe’s Heaven Hill series but it is no less compelling. I’m really looking forward to what happens next in this saga and I’ll be standing in line when the next book releases.
This book was a well-written continuation to Garrett “Reaper” and Hannah’s story. It was full of deep seeded concerns on both Hannah and Garrett’s part of how their relationship will fair while living together on their down time. We see how the couple handles this situation and see the development of a lasting bond. We get a little peek of forever. This book is told from multiple points of view.
Garrett is his usual charming and super hot self. Hannah is growing up into a beautiful young woman. I love that we got to see Shell, Jared, Brad, Stacey and the rest of the family. They are all such an important part to the book. A little scare sends Garrett and Hannah into running mode but is quickly resolved on both parts. I love Garrett’s deep love for Hannah and how he realizes Hannah is his forever girl. You fell this couples emotions and cheer for them in the end. I felt such joy reading this book. Laramie is one of my favorite author’s and she does not fail me yet again.
This is a short, sweet addition to The Rockin’ Country Series and I cannot wait for the next one to come out!
I would highly recommend this series to everyone in fact, I would highly recommend all of Laramie Briscoe’s books. You will not be disappointed.
My Favorite Quotes:
The only sound in the room was the panting of their breaths and the beating of their hearts.
“So completely in love with you, Han,” he whispered as the two of them tried to control their breathing. “Yeah,” she sighed. “Same her, big guy. Totally in love with you too.”
“You make me want to be a little bit of a bad girl sometimes.” - Hannah
One Day at a Time (Rockin’ Country #1.5) By: Laramie Briscoe 4/5 stars
At the end of their respective tours Hannah & Garrett just didn’t want to be apart from each other. So Hannah flew back to California with Garrett and had her parents check on her house in Nashville, with plans to spend more time with them towards the end of her break.
Now, they have more time to spend together and without the grueling schedule of concerts and travel. Now they have time to breathe, to relax, to get to know each other and just take life one day at a time.
But they also have more problems with the paparazzi and false news stories. Both Garrett & Shell are worried the Hannah may relapse into bulimia if isn’t able to deal with those stories. She still seems fragile, but she does want to get better and trust in the love between them.
I bought and read this as part of the Rockin’ Country box set.
The previous book in the Rockin' Country series was probably one of my favorite Laramie Briscoe books and this novella was a great continuation of that book.
The book picks up with Hannah and Garrett finally spending time with each other during breaks in their schedules. Of course all is well for awhile and then it isn't. What I like about Laramie's books is that there is always a connection I feel to my own life even if it's just something small. This time it was the oncoming dread when things are going so well you just know something bad is about to happen.
It was great to catch up with the characters again and see how they navigate regular life problems on top of the paparazzi problems.
I am a big fan of Laramie Briscoe. I am hooked on her Heaven Hill series. I really enjoyed the first book in this series as well. This one was also a fun read. I love Reaper and Harmony - what a great couple! That said, I feel like the three books (1, 1.5, and 2) could have been reduced to 2 books. The pace would have been better if it was a bit faster and more concise. That said, I am coming into reading this book well after it was published, so this may have been done to get more of the story out to the readers quickly. I know I didn't want to have to wait to find out what happened next! Free copy given in exchange for an honest review. This book took me 3 hours to read. I recommend it if you enjoy: Michelle A Valentine, Jess Dee or London Casey.
Garrett and Hannah are the cutest couple ever. Garrett treats Hannah like the princess she deserves to be. Hannah's life up to the time she met Garrett has been pretty sheltered and has had everyone do it for her. Garrett brings out the independent woman in Hannah. She loves Garrett for all of the strengths he brings to their relationship as well as all that he brings out in her.
I love this book for the simple fact that Garrett and Hannah are themselves. They don't have to put on the show. We get to fall in love with them and not their stage personas Reaper and Harmony. While we fell for them in book one it was wonderful to get to see just them. Congrats on another hit Laramie Briscoe.
Review by Lisa Kane I am really enjoying this series! Hanna and Garrett have admitted their love to one another and are trying to find time for each other. Not an easy thing when you are both in demand singers touring all over the country. Add to that mix a vindictive ex, weight issues and a temper that is hard to control and there is drama, tons of drama.
Can these two put in the work and the effort to make this relationship work? Are they ready to take this to the next step?
I always think of novellas as being a condensed version of a full length novel with little character development and a quick romance, but that was NOT the case with this book! since it was a continuation of the series, the characters were already developed. this story was so enjoyable and I'm so glad I finally got into this series! I think I like it even better than the Heaven Hill series and that's saying a lot!
The book picks up right where book 1 left off. Harmony follows Reaper to his home so that they can see if their relationship can stand up to the chaos that is their everyday lives. Harmony struggles with past insecurities and Reaper isn't sure if he wants the fight for his privacy from the paparazzi. I love how no matter what they face, they fight for each other when the going gets tough. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I loved this short continuation to Garrett and Hannah's story. I can't wait to read the next instalment.
In this book Garrett and Hannah have to learn to be together in the public eye. The challenges that they face threaten their relationship but will they be able to overcome their problems?
I loved this continuation of Garrett's and Hannah's story. They really are a couple of sweethearts! Though life is never easy for these two, love shines through. Nice quick read that I highly recommend.
One Day at a Time is a novella apart of the Rockin Country series by Laramie Briscoe. Loved this novella and it picked right up after book one. The storyline was spot on as was the characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series!!!
