Shattered By Light: Delta Sigma Nu Book Two

Rate this book
Getting Levi back from the Syndicate should be our priority. But with each passing day, it feels like this is just the beginning of something so much worse.

There are secrets buried in the catacombs underneath AGU that are more sinister than I ever imagined. The murders haven’t stopped, and now, cryptic messages and shadow figures are everywhere I turn.

The clock is ticking, and if we don’t unmask the killer, one of us won’t make it to New Year’s.

The game has already begun, and there’s no turning back. Each move we make brings us closer to the edge. It’s no longer about saving Levi—it’s about survival. And we’re playing against an enemy we can barely comprehend. The stakes are higher than I could’ve ever expected, and it’s there’s no place for the weak in this fight.

The darkness is coming for us all. And I won’t rest until we find the killer… or become their next target.

The first book was written better than this one 😔.

The typos 😭 Jesus Christ 🙆🏾‍♀️.

As far as dark academia this wasn't Dark just Academia😬. I wanted more but the author gave me half of it and apparently there's no 3rd book in this series 💀🙄.

This book was basically the FMC gets inside her head......runs away....the mmcs beg her to come home.....she does....they have to solve a mystery which was solved the third last chapter 🤣🤣🤣🤣 like c'mon 🤣🤣....she finds out apparently she has a step brother.....but she doesn't even question her mother because we're already at the epilogue 🤣🤣.

Yes there's a HEA but it's not even enjoyable 😒

“Shattered By Light by K.T. Maddan delivers everything I crave in a dark romance—twists, tension, and emotionally charged relationships. The second book in the Delta Sigma Nu series picks up flawlessly from where book one left off, diving deeper into the chaos and connection between the characters. The reverse harem dynamic was handled beautifully, with each relationship feeling meaningful and authentic. I was shook by the antagonist reveal and found myself questioning everything—including the narrator. This book had me on edge in the best way, and the character development? So good 🙌🏼 I’m excited for more from K.T.

I absolutely loved this series and this particular book was incredible! I was on the edge of my seat with all the suspense that was happening and I truly had no idea who the bad guy/ guys were or why they were after the group. There were so many possibilities!

In true KT fashion the spice was spicing but every scene was meaningful in some way. My heart melted over Kai and Levi but Dayton and Silas had me cracking up with their possessiveness and humor.

I was super impressed with the story line. It picks right up where the first book left off and hit the ground running. It was creative and thrilling and I could envision every scene as if I was watching a movie. I saved so many good quotes from this book too!

Highly recommend this series if you love suspense, secret societies, and lots of spice!

~Shattered By Light~AGU Delta Sigma Nu Book #2~K.T. Madden~

~Dual Narration~Oscar Reyes & Ash Kingsley~

~Production~Podium Entertainment~

"You're my own personal hell, and if burning means having you, then I'd set myself ablaze for eternity."

♡This book picks up where book 1 left off & the chaos, tension, emotions, & twists just keep giving! Once again I was left on the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop while wondering what the heck was happening. I loved everyone in this little harem & every MMC had me swooning for different reasons. The spice was great & the banter was top-tier hilarious!

The dual narration for this audiobook was fantastic! Oscar & Ash did a beautiful job bringing this series & these amazing characters to life!

If twisty why choose, dark academia romances are your thing you’ll find it in this series♡

Guys…let’s be so clear: I ENJOYED THIS. BUT I wanted more from this specific set of characters 😩 The ending was abrupt, and the epilogue didn’t really deliver (we were teased though, omfg).

Yes, I know there are more books coming which will give us more context on the overall plot, and I’m very excited to read them! I’m just sad that the POV of this set of characters has concluded and some things from THEIR story felt open-ended.

Plot: I’d say it was pretty good—I think it had potential to be GREAT, and can only assume it’ll get better! I could’ve done without Sable being so hot and cold in the first 30% when it was clear the boys had nothing to do with the murders 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m sure this’ll pick up as the other duets release, so I’m definitely on the edge of my seat.

Spice: Some scenes felt initiated at random at times, specifically between Silas and Sable. To clarify: I’m not saying I don’t like the spontaneity aspect, I actually LOVED that! It’s not that the spice itself between characters lacked chemistry or were unpleasantly random in itself, it’s just where it was added specifically in the format of the story that sometimes didn’t flow well TO ME (in my own opinion). Overall though, I like how varied and balanced the spice was—I feel like there was the perfect amount.

The shift in dynamics FINALLY happened (for the most part) and that made me happy. I found parts to be kind of repetitive, at least the language they would all use.

What I wanted and got:

• Levi bb safe and sound

• More fights in the ring

• Dayton ⚔️ Levi (just kissing/handy situation and sharing with Sable…which was nice, but wanted more. Especially when Silas, Kai, and Sable left to meet with Kai’s parents—something def should’ve happened when Day and Lev had alone time)

• Full orgy! BUT all these boys were sparking the flames and taunting Sable saying they weren’t going to be gentle. She asked for roughness and they weren’t as rough as I thought (although we love a DP moment), but again that’s just my opinion—I still very much enjoyed the spice with them all! I think, with the talk they were talking, this could’ve been rougher and more explorative. Not mad though, some of the spice in here really hit 👏🏼

What I wanted and didn’t get (and no, I’m not saying this in a hateful manner, don’t get it twisted plz I’M SENSITIVE):

• Silas ⚔️ *sigh* I’m so sad. RUDE that the VERY END of the EPILOGUE is Silas HINTING that he’s going to start crossing swords when their story is ‘over’ haha 🫠

• More Syndicate context…like…the secret society always feels so complex because of the history behind it, and we simply didn’t get a deep dive. It really felt ‘secret’ for the reader, and not in a mysterious way—more-so there was enough page space to fill in the context, but I feel the intention here was that it’ll be included in the books to come (and I’m impatient, that’s on me lol)

• Dayton talking with Kai about his dynamic switch with Levi. I can’t believe this wasn’t addressed! It’s mentioned briefly in the epilogue that everyone, four months later, is fully aware and accepting but like…I wanted that tension and wanted to be a fly on the wall when Kai when put in the loop. That was a big deal, and I feel like it didn’t get the full attention it deserved.

• Sable showing more dominant behavior inside and outside of the bedroom. BUT, I DID love that she had a fight scene with Gracie. That was badass!! 🥊

• Confrontation with Sable’s mom?? HELLO?? Jeremy was her brother and we’re just gunna accept that? Call that bitch outtttt

• Speaking of Jeremy…we just hand him off to the Syndicate and anticipate his torture? We didn’t get a final conclusion on what was done with him. Safe to assume they kill him, but I won’t believe until I read it. Also, the fact that Sable and Silas (even the other boys) weren’t able to beat the shit out of him for their last interactions (not actually condoning the violence here, just felt like there wasn’t much justice). That was a HUGE note in book one, and there was trauma caused. I feel like Sable, of all people, should’ve had the opportunity to have more punches (emotional or physical).

• More interactions with everyone’s parents, I always love when we get more context and moments with the families.

• Levi final music project resolution 🎹

• Sable’s resolution with her art project; we know she got a ‘B’ and that she was pissed. I think she should’ve met with her professor (or the extreme and tell the boys so they could confront him lol)

• I wanted ONE chapter from Jeremy’s POV (even if it in a mysterious way, like, us not knowing it was Jeremy but just the killer). He masked so well, but was clearly psycho. I wanted inside his brain

Overall, the ending of this book made it feel like there is so much more coming for Delta—but their story is over (from their POVs at least)—I’m excited to see them again though, I love them sm

- college romance
- reverse harem MMFMM
- bi awakening
- murder mystery
- secret society

Okay firstly, this one started right where the first one left off so don't read this if you haven't read Bound By Shadows.

I could honestly give the same review as I did for the first one.
It was inconsistent and I found my self thinking I'd read the same part accidentally but I hadn't it was just repeating it.
It's marketed as dark, college. It's not really dark. And even when she asks for it rough, it's not really rough. Like she takes them all, good for her, but it seemed pleasant 😂

I love the why choose spice that's enjoyable ;) but like, our boyfriend has been kidnapped, I need something to distract me, let's f***. Is a liiiiittle bit too far in the not going to happen/shouldn't happen territory for me. Even if it is just a fictional story.

I didn't necessarily find the books predictable which is possibly why I wanted to read the second one because I genuinely didn't guess who the killer was until the second kidnapping. But certain things weren't addressed like they should have been. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Eg, Silas losing lacrosse in his first few chapters he talks about how he hasn't told Dayton something and he's hiding from Dayton. Dayton and Silas never have a conversation about what losing lacrosse means to him.

Why choose, mmfmm, Dark college romance, more Murders on campus, secret society, underground fight club, the same broody frat boys and their sexy masks🥵
This is book two in Asher Grove University: Delta Sigma Nu

I listened to 70% of this in one day while cleaning. I couldnt stop, i needed the answers to all my questions from book one. And boy did i get them. After a seriously messed up twisted game. I was questioning anyone and everyone at one point. But now i have even more questions! Do we get book three? Do we get an interconnected series?! I need to know!

These men. God these men, will do anything and everything to protect not only our fmc, but each-other, more than anything. The love they have for her and one another is unbreakable.

Ash Kingsley and Oscar Reyes did an amazing job narrating this book as well. I seriously loved it and their talent.
Thank you K.T and your team for giving me an ALC in exchange for an honest review.*

After reading the first book of this duet with the cliffhanger it ended I was more than happy that I got to dive into this book. And my oh my what an amazing emotional rollercoaster this has been. I've been laughing, crying, went mad, angry and felt so much more for those 5 characters.

The book started right where we ended in book one so I was right back into it. Maddan really kept me on edge in this book, with the Syndicate and the killer loose on the schoolground. And it was kept that way 'till the last part of the book.

I loved how Sable was the glue between all the boys, the good parts and the bad parts. They all broke and got together very slowly. The boys really went all out for Sable and each other. I'm sad that the duet is over but these are soo much worth reading!

Thank you so much K. T. Maddan for this ARC to read and review.

This starts right where book one ends, Levi is gone and the guys and Sable are trying to get him back and figure out who is the murderer. The Syndicate release him but they have a month to deliver the murderer to them. During this time, the group grows closer as a unit and relationships are redefined. As the month comes to an end, they figure out who is responsible. Can they deliver them to The Syndicate in time?

*ARC review* Whew!!! The way the last book left off, I couldn't wait to dive into this book and see how this story played out. Let me just start by saying that K.T. Maddan definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was what, while also blushing/kicking my feet at how much the spice was SPICING! The mystery that surrounds the Syndicate went deeper than I had even realized from the 1st book, and I love how this was suspenseful while still giving me both a HEA and set up the next installment in this world, this time focusing on OCK (another frat at AGU). I'm definitely hooked and will for sure be diving more into this world once the next book drops!

I really liked this book. It resolves the cliffhanger from book 1. I was hooked from the beginning, tense on how everything was going to get solved and tbh the spice in Shattered by light is WAY better than in Bound by Shadows. I can't say much to not spoil anything but 100% recommend reading Delta Sigma Nu series🤍🙂‍↕️

I loved the character development in this book and I was incredibly surprised by who our unaliver is at the end and how they were connected to our girl Sable.

Watching these characters grow and become so cohesive with each other was incredible and left me wishing this book wouldn’t end.

Holy crap….so did I stay up late just to finish this…. Yep, yep I did…..did my husband call me crazy because I was crying over a character in a fictional book….yep that was me…. Did I once again enjoy KT book so much and scream realizing I don’t get the next book in this series until next year….100%. I absolutely loved this book and this series is so good. The spice is fantastic but the way KT blends the spice into the story is absolutely amazing and done so well. Hook line sinker, I am a forever fan girl now!!!!!!

“You’re my own personal hell, and if burning means having you, then I’d set myself ablaze for eternity.”

Oh lorrrdy!! I don’t even know where to start on book 2. I NEEDED A MOMENT TO REGROUP, with the fact that life with Sable and her Horsemen has come to an end.

THIS. BOOK. WAS . EVERYTHING.
I didn’t know I needed and more. It started right off where the cliff hanger in Bound By Shadows had left us. YES!! we finally get all our answers, YES we find out who has been murdering all the students at Ashen Grove University and YES we are SHOOK!!

“I want you to break for me,”
“I want you to fall apart for me, and only me, until the only thing you know is the sound of my voice, the feel of my hands, the weight of me holding you exactly where I want. Then I will put you back together. Piece my piece. I want to do that forever, Sable. You are my eternity.”

🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠

Honesty there is sooo many scenes that will forever live rent free in my head from this book like that PIANO. SCENE. Or the SHOWER. SCENE. 🫦💦💦

These HAREM OF MEN. SECRET SOCIETY. LIP BITING. TOE CURLING. Books are everything you didn’t need in your life but definitely won’t leave you disappointed.

Even though this is goodbye to Sable and her Horsemen this is not the end of the ASHEN GROVE UNIVERSITY SERIES. With OMEGA CHI KAPPA’s story to come.

I have only just recently finished reading this duology and had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. This author had me questioning my sexuality and my identity. 😭😂 I was going to mention morals as well, but I already do that. The dark setting and atmosphere of this book were my idea of beautiful and euphoric. I love the horsemen, but my favorites were Dayton and Kai. My favorite relationship, though, was between Kai and Levi. 🥰 I loved them so much! I have never read anything like this, and it was nice to see how they respected one another. Maybe not boundaries, but it's okay since they were all into that. Lol.

I also want to mention that I am a plot driven kind of person, and I really wanted more of that, this is more character driven, which was okay since we got to see a lot of growth in a lot of different ways from each character. Like.. A LOT! 🔥 #iykyk I did, however, really enjoy this and recommend it if you want something different, dark, and spicy!

If you haven't already, I highly recommend reading Book 1, "Bound by Shadows," before diving into this!

In terms of the connection to the Delta Sigma Nu/Four Horsemen duet, you MUST read book 1 before reading this. It's a duet for a reason & Bound by Shadows left off on a big cliffhanger that's tied up in this story (more or less 😈).
As elites, we tend to not have any normal experiences, but I can say with certainty that my time at AGU is as close to a college experience as I would ever get—bar the murders. And the secret society. And the—oh fuck it, nevermind.
However, this is not the end of the Ashen Grove University world & there's more stories/duets to come. This book does introduce some of those dynamics that will be explored in the future.
“But someone wanted you dead, and they’re not going to stop.” The silence stretches, heavy and suffocating, as we all look at [redacted]—bruised, bleeding, and barely holding it together. And for the first time, I feel it. We’re running out of time.
Just like Bound by Shadows, I had the honor of beta reading this conclusion to the story. But the beta copy I read & this final version are very different... & it’s all for the better!
Being around her gives me butterflies—a tight, nervous feeling that I can’t shake... I want to reach out, pull her into my arms, and hold her until the world makes sense again... It’s cute to see her try and ignore me. “You always study looking this good, or are you just trying to make my dick hard?” Sable finally looks up... “I’m just catching up.”
I lean in slightly, giving her my best smirk. “You know,” I say, lowering my voice, “If you were a homework assignment, I’d do you all night long."
Sable blinks, her eyes widening in surprise before a small smile tugs at the corner of her lips. She shakes her head, a soft laugh escaping her. “That’s awful, even for you.”
“But it got you to smile, didn’t it?”
I think these characters will always have a special place in my heart & this book continues to expand the Ashen Grove & secret society world introduced in BBS. I loved the balance of mystery, romance, darkness, comedy & suspense.
This is the first time I’ve ever brought a girl home to meet my parents. And her boyfriend. Does that make Silas my boyfriend too? It does, right? But we don’t—The doorbell chimes, cutting off my train of thought...
Katie really explored the why choose genre & how those romantic dynamics would work with our cast. (Spoiler: it’s very spicy & makes total sense... plus, it’s gonna make you giggle & kick your feet... they were some of my fave moments in the book.)
“What I feel for you is fucking explosive,” he murmurs. “Nothing in my life made sense until you walked in. Every time I thought I wasn’t good enough—wasn’t worth anything—you made all that shit disappear... The way I love you. The way I love Sable. It’s not more or less. It’s just… you.”
He’s right. Loving Levi has never meant loving Sable less. Just like loving Sable doesn’t take anything away from what I have with him. It doesn’t shift, doesn’t divide. It just is—this consuming, undeniable thing that neither of us asked for but couldn’t resist if we tried.
“We didn’t choose this. Not really. It just happened.”
Plus, the story is wrapped up perfectly: we find out who the “unaliver” is & we get some answers to questions from BBS. However, there’s also more of the secret society storyline that’s teased, leaving us with more questions about the sinister group. Overall, this book is such a good time! I laughed, gasped, hated KT for some of the shocking twists (only briefly & only in the best ways), did some giddy feet kicks, & I already want to reread it because I love this crew!

“Shattered By Light” is the second book in the “Ashen Grove University Series.” It is a dark college romance featuring MF, MM, MFM, MMFMM relationships. The chemistry, the dynamics of the group, the individuals and how they interact with each other - Kai, Levi, Dayton, Silas and Sable. The connection between them is rolling flawlessly into a committed relationship - through the good times and the bad. Each of them bring something different to the group - Kai’s quiet strength, Levi’s broken intensity, Dayton’s possessive warmth, Silas’s wicked dominance and Sable being the lynch pin, holding them together. They each demand something from Sable - something that no one else ever has.

The strength of their relationship is tested when Levi is arrested by The Syndicate at the end of “Bound by Shadows.” With him still being missing, they realise how much they all need each other emotionally, how they are incomplete without Levi. The Manor is empty without him. They are feeling helpless. “We all knew that the Syndicate rules in the shadows, unknowingly manipulating parts of our lives. But that’s just it. They were meant to just be in the shadows. They take those who are guilty without need for proof. But Levi… he isn’t guilty.” With The Syndicate, you are guilty until proven otherwise. “The Syndicate is an underground organization. Powerful. Untouchable. They handle all the dirty work for families like ours.”

“You’re mine, Sable, ours,” he growls against my skin. “No one else gets to touch you. No one else gets to have you. Just us.”
“I don’t want anyone else.”

The story is full of passion, intrigue, betrayal, vengeance, power, control, twists and turns around every corner - most of all love ♥️ There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! The book goes through moments of the thoughts or possibilities that it could happen to, to extreme violence to the most beautiful tender moments! The heat between Sable and the boys is off the page. There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from a dark mafia romance! I did not want it to end! From page to page, chapter to chapter, I could not put it down - you will metaphorically be on the edge of your chair! Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Shattered By Light was the perfect conclusion to this duet!! The plot picks up right where we left off, and it keeps you hooked the entire way through. The characters had so much development and grew so much closer, and I loved reading it 🖤 Towards the end of the book I could not put it down and was so invested. My mind was working so hard trying to figure things out and it was such a shock to me when everything got revealed and came to light!!

Sable’s character went through so much this book, and it really showed how strong she is. She also developed a lot mentally and learned that she can trust and lean on her men fully 🩷 Their bonds became so much stronger and the way she grew closer with each of them in different ways and situations was great to read. The way she fights for herself and the guys is so intense and fierce, and I loved her character even more by the end! The truth of everything rattled her, but she didn’t let it break her and stayed strong through it all, and was super resilient. She was shown how much her Horsemen care for and love her in so many different ways, and it was awesome to see her accept it all and embrace their relationship together 🖤

If you hadn’t already fallen in love with Levi, Dayton, Kai, and Silas in the first book, you absolutely will in this book 🩷 Each of their characters is so different, and their pov’s are written so uniquely from one another. They all go through the ringer in different ways this book, but they each find their inner strength, and strength in one another. These men are oh so spicy and hot, and the way their dynamic shifts and new territories are explored was phenomenal and had me sweating🔥 The ending was so sweet, and they are just so devoted to Sable and care for and love her immensely 🖤

This was such a great read, and the perfect conclusion to Sable & the Horsemen’s story. This book will have you laughing, sweating, crying, raging, and swooning — feeling all the emotions!! The plot was super gripping and the twists, turns, and revelations will have you shocked and your mind reeling, needing to know more. The ending was also just so sweet and perfect 🩷🖤

Holy emotional rollercoaster! This book had me going through all the feels like the first book had done. This book has everything that a dark romance could deliver; rough tension, unexpected twists, and undeniable connections that draw you in until the last page. I was reading the pages like I was watching the movie brought to life and this next chapter in the series did not disappoint one bit.

🖤 𝓹𝓵𝓸𝓽 🖤
Shattered By Light takes off exactly where the first book leaves off. Levi is taken, as they had labeled him a murderer. But upon trying to clear his name, the Syndicate releases him, but gives the group one month to find the real murderer or they’ll be forced to take him back. Throughout the month, their chemistry bonds stronger between each other and this reverse harem gets hot! I won’t give too much away for the readers but this book has just about the same if not more spice than the first book, but is paced perfectly throughout the plot to further build up the connection between Sable and her boys.

🖤 𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓻𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓼 🖤
Sable is charming but she has her own self doubts about whether to believe her boys or not at first. She’s preserved and protects herself. Levi and Daytons relationship grew stronger, but I wish I could have seen that more with Sable and Silas. Jeremy was unhinged but was still a part of Sables life. I wished we could have had a little bit of his point of view, what he was thinking as the masked man.

🖤 𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓹𝓮𝓼 🖤
🖤 reverse harem
🖤 underground fight club
🖤 secret society
🖤 elite dark college
🖤 mental health rep

🖤 𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓬𝓵𝓾𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷 🖤
If you have not indulged in either BOUND BY SHADOWS or SHATTERED BY LIGHT, you need to immediately move those two up your TBR pile pronto and get on this spicy, dark college romance as we get further into the story of the Syndicate. You get everything you would want in a dark romance plus more, with this group of seductively dark main characters in this well paced out spicy romance with dark themes.

I’m so glad book two came out so close to book one…I don’t know that I would have been able to wait, but I’m so glad I did. This book picks up exactly where book 1 left off, so spoilers if you haven’t listened to book 1, you must read this duet in order. You will get your answers, but by the end there will be more, and with this being the end of the duet, I share hope they are answered in the next book which will focus on Omega Chi. The twists and turns and highs and lows will keep you on the edge of you seat through the whole book. Knowing these characters better in this book helped with my connection, but Sable had a great character arch, and the boys all came into their own as well. Ash had the perfect blend of sweet and sassy to capture Sable’s unique personality, and Oscar beautifully performed all four guys with such precision, it was fantastic. You will definitely want to listen to this book before the next one comes out in January.

Narration: Dual narration, first-person present tense, multiple-POV some flashbacks

What an ending to Sable and the guys story!!!!

In Shattered By Light, we pick up right as Bound By Shadows concludes. Levi has been taken by the Syndicate and Sable, and the guys are falling apart. We see Sable, Levi, Kai, Silas, and Dayton go through so many ups and downs individually and as a group, but ultimately, they come together to find out who is responsible for what occured in Bound By Shadows. Let me tell you, it blew my mind because there are so many secrets, twists, and turns that I just didn't see coming that now looking back it does make total sense as to who was to blame. I loved that we saw more sides to all the guys and, of course Sable but, especially Levi and Silas. It's so sweet that Sable is at the centre and can be what she needs to be for not only herself but for her guys. I love it!!!

The thing is, I feel like we haven't seen the last of Sable and her guys because I picked up a few things that made me question if it's truly the end because personally, I don't think it is. Like why the Syndicate too Levi and not anyone else? But I could be wrong. It's just a theory. There's so much I'm not saying but I just want you to experience this for yourself.

I highly recommend this duet. It's so worth the read.

Thank you so much, KT, and your amazing team for the opportunity to read this story. I am extremely blessed 🙏

This book is hard to follow at times because the writer doesn’t tell you which point of view you’re getting. So for each chapter you have to guess who it is, that’s annoying.
Sable and her boys are up against the syndicate and levi was stolen because it was thought that he murdered the other students. Specifically Victoria, who, as it turns out, is the daughter of the leader of the syndicate. For a month Kai is tortured to try to get him to admit he did it. Finally they let him go and give him and the others two weeks to find the actual killer.
They do lots of research. They find a hidden room in the library with all kinds of syndicate info. They talk to their parents. There are lots of family secrets between them all. Like Kai was adopted but his bio mom was part of the whole thing. Kai’s parents are poly and super accepting of everything.
Two days before the deadline Kai is stolen and then a live feed is set up where he is tied up. The fam is given a half hour to find him. They get help from the other fraternity to locate him and keep watching the feed as the drive real fast to get to him. And then they see the masked man stab him in the stomach. When they get there Kai is almost dead. The syndicate shows up and takes him and tells the others to get that killer!
On New Year’s Eve, the deadline, sable is locked in the basement. She follows tunnels to the party and then Jeremy shows up and it turns out he’s the killer. And he’s sables half brother. In the end, the syndicate comes and gets Jeremy and the fivesome are HEA.

I’d just like to start by saying, while I said in the first book, Bound by Shadows, that Dayton was the absolute shit and that probably wouldn’t change, I’d like to stand fully corrected on my hill and say that Silas Morgan is King. MY. GOD. The mouth on that man made even me blush and I haven’t felt shameful since ‘96.

We’re backkkkk, at Ashen Grove University, (must read Bound by Shadows first as this is book 2 in the duet) and it’s a direct continuation from book 1.

The killer is still out there (just like to say from the end of the first book I was right in my guess of who it was 🙌🏻) and the Syndicate has a deeper hold on the University and the families of legacies going back years than anyone realized.

Sable, Kai, Silas (O. M. G), Dayton and Levi are back, they’re all her boyfriends by the way, plus some of the boys have boyfriends within the group. It’s like a candy pick and mix…. You could have one or a great big handful….anyway, I digress….The tension is ramped up especially when one of their own goes missing and the murder mystery aspect added a perfect spin on a great why choose book.

The writing is excellent and the spice?! The piano and playing while…..yeah @ktmaddan knew what she was doing when she wrote that 🥵🌶️🌶️

Highly, highly recommend this duet. This ends Delta Sigma Nu and Sable and her Boys story……or is it the end? I’m not 100% sure, we’ll have to wait and see.😭😭. But there is a new story from Ashen Grove that is coming that’s moving us on to the next fraternity…

I had the honor of reading Shattered by Light as an arc. I read the first as an arc read and fell in love with these boys back then but now getting to see even more sides of these boys was chefs kiss. We also got to see more sides to Sable our FMC.
I fell in love with Bound by Shadows and now I’m in love with Shattered by Light. You have to read book one in order to understand book 2 because this book takes off right where the first one leaves off. Which happened to be a cliffhanger. This book had me on the edge of my seat with all of suspense and twists and turns and the spice. OMG the spice!!! Silas Morgan is my new book boyfriend just because of his filthy mouth. I was absolutely feral for him in this book.
Tensions arise when one the boys goes missing and then we have a murder mystery vibe on our hands. The plot in this book is sooo good it had me kicking and screaming. It had me sweating and sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next and I ate every bit of it up. I love this book and all of the characters in it.
KT Maddan did it again and put me in a chokehold with this book. I thank you for adding another group of book boyfriends to my infinite list and making me fall in love with your writing. I will read everything you write because it is phenomenal and I swoon over the men in these books.

This is my honest review of Shattered by Light by KT Maddan.

Hey guys, the second book is finally here!! After the way the first one ended, I was literally counting down the days until I could continue the story. I'm obsessed with the author and this world, I don't want to leave it, and I'm so happy that I don't have to in the foreseeable future.

First and foremost, you have to read the first book before jumping into this one. We have a college setting, a secret society, secrets, jaw-dropping moments, and deliciously hot spicy scenes. I could easily connect with the characters, and the storyline was a real page-turner with twist after twist. I fell in love with the guys in the first book, but I fell even harder this time, if that's possible.

I have to mention they made me cry. The feelings came through the pages so beautifully. Did it break my heart? Yes. Was it worth it? One hundred percent, yes. I totally adored how it ended, but if I'm being honest, I still have questions. That's probably because we haven't finished with this storyline yet, which I'm happy about, because I love this world. But at the same time, it made these characters' stories feel a little unfinished too. I'd love to read more about them, but I think we're going to move on a little and see others' perspectives.

It was a 4.5-star read for me, and I just need more, I don't want leave yet. It wasn't enough, I love this world and these characters, and I still have so many questions. I had such a great time, and I can't wait to revisit Ashen Grove.
