Written by President Dwight Eisenhower's son, a military man in his own right. A fascinating, well-researched & equally well-written accurate & dramatic account of the European campaign during WWII with special emphasis on the crisis that shock the Western Hitler's surprise Ardennes offensive - the Battle of the Bulge. A definitive, authoritative assessment of one of most crucial, and complex campaigns during WWII. A must-read for any history or WWII buff.
Very good overview of the battle with a good lead up and conclusions. It was a bit irritating that he kept writing that the Panther had an 88 when it had a 75mm KwK 42 L/70. But that is kind of a nit pick
