A chance encounter would ignite a spark. Fate would fan the flame.

Dani doesn't believe in love. She knows that love only leads to heartache, like the murder of her mother when she was just fourteen. Besides, dating is tough when your dad is one of the most powerful crime bosses on the West Coast.

So instead of relationships, Dani believes in one night stands. But when a casual fling goes frighteningly wrong, she runs home to the only person she knows will protect her - her father.

She doesn't make it. Dani's stranded on the side of the road with no one to help her. Except Blaze.

Blaze has been through hell and back. Raised by his junkie mom, the Inferno MC is the only real family he's ever known. As their jaded Vice President, he'd do anything to protect the club.

When fate throws them together, sparks fly.Their attraction is undeniable, but can this jaded and broken pair find happiness? Or will Dani's family secrets tear everything down, including the MC?

DNF at 50%. Between the boredom, the inconsistency, the babbling heroine, and the useless MC president, I don't think I can go on. Firmly in the not for me category and I'm moving on.

Saving Axe was a Book Bub sale alert and the blurb looked good. On cracking the book, I found that it was the second in the series and that there was not only a whole first novel -- Taming Blaze -- but also a bridge novella in between. That bridge story is pretty important to understanding some of the politics of the Inferno MC and what happens in novel 2.

Anyway, Taming Blaze was okay. I give it three stars. Honestly I couldn’t become engaged with the characters. I was never truly drawn into their emotional stakes. I’m not sure why, though. I thought their chemistry seemed fine, I just felt kind of detached while reading it.

We’re introduced to Blaze who is the VP of the Inferno MC out of LA. He meets Dani when she’s out of gas on the side of the road. They spark, they screw, they become obsessed with one another. Pretty simple MC tale. But there are some nefarious shenanigans afoot and Blaze needs to take care of business … which turns out to be intrinsically tied to who Dani really is. A decent setup, but not fully compelling in execution.

Included in the Kindle version of this book is, “Part II: Wedding Bells” which is kind of an extended epilogue for Blaze and Dani. They’re trying to plan their wedding but the club is getting in the way. This short story outlines the political issues that will be faced in the next book, so it’s nice it’s included for free in this version.

I think this was a good first read by a first time author for me. It's a little different from most of the deluge of new biker authors. I was happy with the writing style until about half way through the book and then wham, there was like about 4 paragraphs that were repeated from earlier in the book. It kind of threw me off. And one reference was to "Blake" instead of "Blaze". So there are noticeable grammar/editing issues but not completely overwhelming. The book has a good story line with a mix of a bad ass 1% MC and a little mafia type family on the h's side. Blaze, the H, rescues the h (Dani) from the side of the road...I think the MC romance I just read had that same opening scene....
They have a one night stand and then are thrown together when the MC is contracted to provide security for Dani. The characters were interesting and I can see a spin off series with stories on the other characters. There really was very little angst in the book and a little more depth into the relationship between the H/h might have made it better for me. I think this author has the ability to churn out some 5 star MC romance reads, but the story needs a little more refining, a little more grit and the ability to grab the reader with a scene that makes the reader not want to put the book down. I congratulate the author on having one of the better MC romance releases in the most recent months.

Dani is running back home after her sort of boyfriend takes things a few steps to far in the bedroom. Her only problem is she's running straight back into a world filled with treachery, murder and secrets. Her father is a crime boss and a very powerful one. On her way she receives a phone call from her father telling her she is in danger and she will be escorted home from school immediately. Unable to tell him the truth, she was attacked and on her way home as they spoke, she decides to just turn up safe and sound before he discovers she is not in school. As her luck continues to be non-existence, her car breaks down at the side of a scenic road where phone signal is zilch! Breaking down she doesn't notice at first the very sexy biker that is leaning against her car. Offering her a ride to the nearest town she accepts, jumps on the back of the bike completely unaware this man is about to changer her life.
Blaze never expected to spend the night with the mess of a girl he found on the side of the road. When he wakes the morning after only to find she has fled he returns to his MC with thoughts of her constantly invading his thoughts. When his Prez accepts a deal with a local crime boss the last thing Blaze expected was to see Dani again. Or to find out he f****d the mans daughter. Being assigned to take Dani to a safe house for an unknown amount of time and protect her with the strict instructions of hands off just plain p****s him off!
As the two discover a much deeper connection between them as they are forced to 'play house' in the middle of nowhere they are blissfully unaware of the trouble brewing at home. With the MC Prez trying to take the club deeper into the criminal world and a ghost from Dani's fathers past that threatens to destroy everything she has ever known, can the two make it through with not only their love but also their lives?

I loved this book and really enjoyed reading it. The MC element is very small but enough to keep me as an MC fan happy. The plot mainly focuses around Dani and everything she has ever known about her family and especially her father torn to shreds. The romance between Dani and Blaze was actually sweet and they were both strong characters that took no s**t from the other. If I could sum this book up I would describe it as a much tamer version of Crystal Spears Breakneck Series that focuses a little more on the romance side of things. A good read and I am looking forward to the next release!

Couldn't even finish this book. Too many inconsistencies. 1. They have at it (kissing, sex) shortly after he finds her vommitting and getting sick.... Yeah... Real hot :(. She didn't even brush her damn teeth. 2. They have breakfast at a diner and then almost immediately it's sunset. 3. He has sex with some other random chick just hours before meeting dani and screwing her. Kinda gross. 4. She's all hot for him just hours after bring raped/ manhandled by some other guy. Ewww. This book wasn't romantic AT ALL. Blaze isn't alpha at all... He's kind of a pansy compared to her. She's way too dominant and brash. The book just kind of missed the mark girl me. I was going to read the next book about axel but now am not even going to waste my money on it.

3.5 Bad Dad Stars

Some people just should not be fathers. The End.

Dani is on her way back to her father. She is having tuck tail and go back to where she is safe. Well, safe is a relative term here. Safer. Safer than with her scumbag rich boyfriend.

Blaze is on his way back to the Inferno MC. His family. Not perfect, but his family all the same. He spots Dani on the side of the road. Out of gas. He gases her up all right.

I just had sex on the side of the road with a biker named Blaze. Nothing but class here...

What they don't know can hurt them. They are going to be linked in ways they can't imagine. But is that Side of The Road Quickie more? If it is...will it kill them?

Nothing. She's not to be touched, by anyone. In any way.

This was a bit different than most of the MC reads. And I do love the MC reads. It was a little slow at times, but I loved the connection between Blaze and Dani. Blaze doubted himself at times and his club.

This one is worth a read. I will be looking for the next one.

This started off pretty good, but by the time it got to Part 2, The Wedding, it really started to lose my attention. There was quite a bit of jumping ahead, leaving you to assume a lot. The MC was just lacking in the BADASS dept.

I think I'll move over a different series. I've heard good things, and she has great covers. I think the audio and the inferno mc is just not for me.

I really liked this for some reason. It made me feel as if I was right there in the book.

I would love to be in this world even just for a little bit.

And getting some on the first day? Yeah, gimme some of that! Meet a hot ass biker guy on the side of the road after almost hitting him driving? Then she gets some road head from him and hot daylight kinky sex on the hood of her car? Then drive down the road to get more of that sex at a expensive B&B?

Girl. Dani. Give me some of that mafia-richass-daughter-magic-pussy. Cause damn.

I applaud to you.

But seriously. I need some of this in my life. Right TF meow.

Though I'm not to sure about that whole 'Property of Blaze, Inferno MC' on my back.

Good read. It had everything you can ask for: hot sexy sweet guy, strong independent woman, biker club, hot steamy sex, plot twists, danger, love, and more to come!

Blaze is one hot piece of man. I liked him and he wasn't the cliche biker guy. He has deep thoughts that made him more likable and sexy. When he is first introduced you think total ass, but thank goodness it doesn't stay that way at all.

Dani is something else. She takes what she wants for sure no holds barred. She takes some twists and turns for her to get it together but she does. She is one vengeful chick!! Hot sex on a convertible too!

It does have a great deal of hotness so be aware. The plot is good though so don't worry too much.

On to the next. Enjoy,

I really like MC romances and this was pretty good. The smut was great for sure and Blaze was hot. The plot wasn't overly complicated, but that's okay. Seeing them dance around each other at the cabin was fun and the drama in the background wasn't bad. I like that we got both character's points of view and that it wasn't too long. The part 2 at the end was surprising, but I liked getting a bit more of their story. I also liked that Blaze wasn't controlling and Dani still did what she wanted. I'm looking forward to Axe's story.

This was a well done MC book. A bit of grit, a lot of sex, and the overall seedy crap that follows an MC club. It was short and got to the point but I would have liked a little more detail. However, the story line was entertaining.

Wedding bells does not exactly wrap up Blaze and Dani's story, not a cliffhanger not and end. It seems the books will have a bit of overlap? I am interested in what happens to them and Axe, so I will keep reading! I just hope we get more details?

A good read. The storyline between Blaze and Dani went way deeper than I anticipated but it turned out to be a good read. I think I am more excited about reading Axe's story though...that's not bad, is it? Something about an ex-Marine is just yummmy :)

This story had the potential to be a four star for this genera of book, but there were these little things within the storyline and certain character traits that might really irk some readers. I, myself, eventually got over it and was able to get lost in the story, but I won't lie and say it didn't grate my nerves. For that, I'm going with a 3 star rating.

The plot:

The storyline was rather interesting MC club hardass meets rich, wild, and somewhat broken girl. Neither realize one night is far from what they'll be sharing, and he certainly has no idea that he literally bedded the mob.

But, there's a lot of plot being slowly constructed around what first seems like a typical bang'em biker book. So, be patient; there's actually quite a lot of story here for this type of MC romance book.

There's an asshole ex lover with a hit out on him, a dangerous douche dad, a surprise relative, a murder 'who done it,' and the underlings of club corruption. Sounds good, right?

The characters:

It was interesting to see two people from completely different backgrounds and worlds with very different precise problems have the same overall resulting damages - trapped in lives they really didn't want without any hope of escape.

They had a love/hate chemistry that was palpable off the pages. They weren't normal romance book characters, but I didn't mind the lack of harps and butterflies because actions speak louder than words. I'd rather someone go to bat for me than spew lyrical shit any day;)

Blaze and Dani are funny and cute together in their odd sexual banter. He talks about the weather after sex, she finds it funny and asks what normal people talk about afterward.. He says, "going to Home Depot in the morning." The "fucked up" normal sex talk was funny, fitting for this couple. The "I love you" scene was also atypical romance, but worked so well for these characters that obviously often used sarcasm to deflect. I'm glad the author didn't do the magical transformation where characters suddenly get castrated and have lobotomies. The wedding dress scene.. Loved it!

Humorous biker, mob princess, danger, mhot sex. Again, sounds great, right?

Now for the irk me part...

The bad:

The above said, there were a few things that just didn't sit right with me. It was kind if like being offered a heaping scoop of your favorite ice cream but being told you MUST cover it in your least favorite flavor of syrup. Ehh!

I despise a book where the MC is described IN DETAIL screwing it up with some random bedmate before meeting the other MC in a story. Here, both MCs have detailed sex scenes just hours before meeting each other and immediately having their own sex scene. Gross? Yes! Romantic? No! Hot fantasy? No! Something authors should avoid? Hell yes! That kind of thing taints a book and stays with some readers all through sex scenes with the lead characters.

The first sex scene between the two MCs was extremely off-putting. Forget that they've said five sentences before f'ing. I mean the chick is vomiting, has snot flying ... Goes off for gas and breakfast w him..Then, bam the sex scene. Uhm, yeah, kinda gross.

Secondly, she just had a really bad sexual experience involving choking hours before bedding down a random "dirty biker" on the side of the road... Wtf? Not a great intro, author!!!

She later talks about threesomes and freaky boarding school sex. She knows she'll be signing a death certificate to sleep with the male MC, but says f it.

Look, I don't mind a highly sexual character, but damn this chick's initial sexual exploits made her very hard to relate with at first. A little, no a lot, too ho'ish for most female readers to relate to and like.

I liked having both POVs, but the repeating parts of scenes from both POVs was unnecessary and slowed the story down. As the book went on, the author did get better about not replaying entire scenes from both perspectives, instead just touching on it so readers would known the scene without it being explained again.

I felt that the end was good romantically speaking, but rushed in other ways. It's a happy ending, but not a HEA; the floor has been swept, but not scrubbed and waxed. There are MClub goings on that are left hanging in the air over the couple, making their future safety uncertain.

^ It's a series so normally that wouldn't bother me when I know more books are in order, but this book is advertised as a STANDALONE! That's not exactly honest, forthcoming advertising since the author ensures that enough of the secondary plot points are open and burning in a way that you, as a reader, want that damn floor scrubbed up and waxed, not just swept.

I leaned harder against Blaze. “I’m finally home,” I said.
Blaze squeezed me tighter. “We both are.”

This was another good find as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription! I read Sabrina Paige’s West Bend Saints series which had connections to this series so I put it on the list to check out because I enjoyed the West Bend Saints books. And I thought this was a good one too! In it we meet Dani who is running from a one night stand gone bad and on her way back to get help from her father who happens to be one of the biggest, most dangerous crime bosses on the West Coast. On her way back she has a chance encounter with Blaze, VP of the Inferno Motorcycle Club. After one steamy roadside encounter and another hot night together they part ways never expecting to see each other again. But then a twist of fate puts them together again and they have to decide whether to accept the dangers that comes with giving in to their desires or resisting the attraction between them.

I thought this book had a good blend of steam, humor, grit and danger. All good things when it comes to a MC book! We got a good introduction to the inner workings of the Inferno MC and met quite a few characters that will probably recur in the other two books in the series. There was also a pretty straightforward plot, it was engaging and interesting but nothing over the top. I also liked the dual POVs we got, my only gripe was that sometimes at the start of a new chapter it would take us back a few scenes to relive a previous scene from the other POV. At times this was a little repetitive and others it was a little confusing in terms of continuity because there had been other scenes in between the original the one we were reliving. It would have been better if the story had kept going forward but maybe have the other POV just reflect on the prior scene instead of a straight retelling. But this was minor and didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of the story!

At the end of this book there was a bonus novella that I guess was written after the fact to help bridge this book to Saving Axe which is next in the series. I actually found the events in the novella to be especially interesting and I think the things that happened in it will have further implications as the series continues. I am intrigued to see how it plays out and I am looking forward to reading Saving Axe because that is the story that was actually alluded to in the West Bend Saints series and I am excited to get that story finally! All in all a good read and a solid start to the series.

This wasn't as "eww" as I thought it might be. For those who don't know, my "eww" shelf is for when there is descriptive sex with a MC and an OW/OM. I normally only do that if there is descriptive sex after the two MCs meet. But for this case the "eww" isn't because of the MCs...yes right off the bat you're getting descriptive sex with OP and the MCs...this eww is because of the other activities in the clubhouse. Not overly in your face, but still...eww...not generally my cuppa. BDSM places/kink clubs where there are rules and regulations in the house/place of business? Totally kosher. Mclub clubhouse with drugged out questionably aged girls running around for married men to do whatever with? Not my cuppa.
Don't know why...wait no I do know why I wanted to read this series last year... West Bend Saint Series has a cameo from Axe(? i think) and I wanted to know more about he and his wife's story. The only problem...not really into MC themed books. (MC and MC...that's confusing hopefully you can figure out when I mean Main Character and Motorcycle Club) I don't know what it is about the MC world that puts me off when I'm down with other morally questionable themed books. I love guys that are into bikes, but the club scene just doesn't appeal to me as a reader.
I do like the H and h in this story though. I'm hoping I'll get the rest of their story during book 2, cause that tease was more cliffhanger for a standard standalone.

Not really my cuppa, but still enjoyed the story so 3 stars.

Have it in Audio. Loved this M/C book 1 from Sabrina Paige. . Love how Sabrina wrote a story with lots of twists and revenge and mystery. Sabrina took this story and made you want to listen to it from Beginning to end . Both Narrators are fantastic. Ever since I heard this one with Nelson Hobbs he became one of my favourites.

Hero is Blaze. Heroine is Dani .
Dani had an incident with her then boyfriend . He did some things to her that she couldn’t stomach. She hits the road . Her car runs out of gas . That is where she meets Blaze . Blaze saves her with the gas . Dani rents a room at an expensive hotel. Dani is hoping Blaze takes her up on her offer to come join her

Dani goes to her fathers house. Dani then learns that her mother’s killer is being released and he might go after her .

Her father hires an M/C club for protection. Little does she know that Blaze is part of the club .... not only that but he is assigned to protect her .
Love how the killer is not who you think. The president of the M/C is a shady character .

Loved both Narrator. Love them both but Nelson Hobbs has become one of my favourites

I am always happy to get a 99 cent deal in books and especially when they are biker themed. Taming Blaze was a happy surprise and had a cool storyline combining organized crime with a biker club and it was very entertaining.
Dani runs from her drug induced violent BF and when she runs out of gas heading home, she is of course rescued by Blaze, a biker. What begins as your typical beautiful girl breaks down and has a one night stand with a biker, turns into much more when her father's dirty secrets come to play and Dani is forced into hiding with Blaze, after his club is hired as protection.
There is a twist to this story (of course!) and it all plays out a little too neatly, but in the end we get an HEA and promise of another book for one of the other club members.
It was a really good read for a debut novel and I was impressed with the fact that it was original for the most part (although there were a few things that have been done before in other books) and look forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed this book, this was a different biker story, yes there was the normal parts that go in a biker book but there was more storyline about the heroine which keeps the reader intrigued. This book has drama, suspense, and really hot sex with a sexy biker named Blaze. He is one hot alpha male that is super protective and puts Dani ahead of all else. The story involving her crime father was so interesting and had quite the twist. The epilogue was surprising, I could not believe what was happening to the club, what was happening to Mad Dog and Axe. I loved what was happening with Blaze and Dani but I am so worried about what is going on behind the scenes and what is going to happen to Blaze when he returns, can't wait to read more about Axe and see what is next for the couple I love.

Ms Paige writes a tale that sucks you in. It was fun and brutal all at the same time. The subject matter is so dark but allows us to remember that even not so good people in horrible situations can have something decent inside of them and love each other. Ms. Paige's writing style to speaks to my heart. She doesn't glamorize the darkness she writes about nor does she Pollyana-ize her characters.

Powerful read.

NOTE: I have actually read the second book, Saving Axe, as well and enjoyed it immensely. I am looking forward to reading Hammer's story as well.

Well written with an interesting plot twist but the hero was a little bit of a pansy (not the real "p" word I want to use but, you get my drift.) He didn't do it for me like the men of Madeline Sheehan's or Nicole Jacquelyn's books. Sex scenes could have been hotter too, felt a little wham bam and over ma'am.
The writer did do an excellent job of adding an intelligent story line involving the Panamanian invasion while under Noriega's rule.

This was a good and well written MC book. I enjoyed the story line and there were lots of twists to keep the story moving along and the story has certainly geared up for future books. I like dual POV but sometimes it felt a bit repetitive when re-hashing the scene from a different view. I will certainly continue with this series and purchase Axe's book when it's released
