The main couple, so delightful in the first few volumes, continues to be unhealthy and odd, although the bit with him doing her hair was cute. And at least Hori knows she's being irrational. Fortunately most of the pages were devoted to the increasing complexities of their friend group, and some new characters such as Iura's middle-school sister and his over-protectiveness.
The more I read this, the more I dislike Hori's character. She's quite an abusive girlfriend. I like the other characters friendship with each other though. They're very wholesome and funny.
I love this info on Watabe's character xD I hope he becomes a regular because his fascination for Miyamura is amazing HAHAHA. Hori and Miyamura is a really sweet couple. I love them so much ♥
I've really grown to love all the side characters, but Hori and Miyamura are killing me, one minute they're intimate, the next they're formal. Hori has serious anger issues that don't seem to be resolving, but I'm brushing all of this off, since they're teens, and it's natural for them to act like this. I just wish that in next episodes, we see Hori and Miyamura breaking more barriers and getting closer, because now they just feel like the comic relief couple.
I thought this volume was going to be more about Yuki and Tooru, which I was ready for cause I like them, but it wasn't. Still a pretty good volume though.
it’s so sad to say but horimiya is starting to go downhill… okay it’s been going downhill since the first book. it’s honestly so bad. hori is a terrible person who doesn’t deserve miyamura, i don’t even get why an angel like sweet darling miyamura would like hori. she’s just so mean? and she even hits him??
there’s a lot of weird stuff that goes under the radar like stupid perverted teachers it’s become unbearable. but i will finish the series because i want to see what happens to the only good character my lovely miyamura. actually tooru and yuki are sweet too but they’re barely in there
What a parting chapter tho. I really like he says/she says so much, I find it cute! By the way, this must be my favorite volume out of all the previous ones in the series. I just loved how Miyamura's aura changed here, you know that gloomy boy back then, there's no trace of him now. My eyes are burning, I'm just so proud. Damn, character developments. I swear I love it! And talk about the male friendship and pining in Tooru and Yuki's part! Augh! Way to involve me even deeper! I couldn't wait to read about the freaking confession. Hoping it happens soon tho.
And I wouldn't say anymore but, Hori is weird, take note of that. In some ways, she's gotta be a tsundere... or became one. And so is Miyamura, being weird. A weird couple. That's what Horimiya means. They're just who they are, and I love them, okay?
This volume really focused more on the humor than any real emotional moments. It does contain a cute moment where they find themselves trying to reflect on how they are don't understand each other but they still care for each other a lot. Also, the student council president is still trying to find out what Miyamori is hiding from everyone.
I can't- This entire volume was really cute and funny especially in the first couple of chapters. The only thing that bothers me slightly is how aggressive Hori can be but overall its funny :)
So Tooru and Yuki know that they are more than friends , so why aren't they taking a step forward? Also love Hori in bun,Miyamura is particularly good at buns . Hori and Miyamura are so cute and funny when they fight. I love this couple soooo much.
This series is worthy of 5 stars, it really is but I can’t bring myself to give it that much mainly because of how Sakura and Tooru’s story turned out. I mean, I was shipping those two and then Yuki came from absolutely fucking nowhere and my ship became a shipwreck!!
I love Hori and Miyamura! They’re so cute and wonderful but Hori’s desire to be abused is a little worrying. I also don’t like how Hori is always making mistakes and causing fights yet Miyamura is the one apologising for it or reminding her that she needs to say sorry. I also don’t like how she’s telling or insinuating that he shouldn’t have more tattoos or piercings because TBH, it’s his life and he deserves to do whatever he wants with it. I mean, I don’t see him putting restrictions on Hori or telling her how to live her life so in that sense, I think Miyamura is my favourite character and I’m a bit biased towards him. He is a cinnamon bun after all!! ❤️❤️
Hori's masochistic behaviour is really bothering now. I don't like it all when she asks Miyamura to hit her because her behaviour isn't discussed in the manga. I feel like the author is using some kind of strange role reversal where Hori is the violent "male" side of the relationship, but the fact that her behaviour is so outlandish just ends up solidifying the role that girls are supposed to fill in a relationship, especially as Hori performs many tasks at home that are seen as women's chores. When she then seems to seek an abusive relationship in addition to that, I'm unsure of the author's intentions.
I also struggle to see why Hori and Miyamura are still a couple. Hero tries to deal with this problem in the last chapter, but I hardly found it convincing since none of that affectionate behaviour is portrayed in the regular plot lines.
