Sutter Hills, Florida is being overrun by creatures from another reality. A primordial forest from an unknown world has breached this small town and from it spill strange and violent creatures. Creatures that do not flinch when shot by the guns of man, carnivorous plants that hunt with sentient roots, and creeping fungi that feed on metal are but a few of the things invading this once familiar world and turning it into their own. Those townspeople not yet dead are in hiding, waiting for the end of their world or a rescue that may never come. No one knows where this collision of realities started or how it began. Except for Isaac. Isaac thought that after graduating high school he’d take a couple of years off to find himself. Instead, he finds himself hiding in a clock tower, knowing he has to brave the dangers below if he’s going to save the town he calls home. Isaac knows that all of this is his best friend Caleb’s doing. Caleb has a strange power, one he was beginning to learn to control - but now he lies comatose in a hospital just beyond the reach of the bizarre forest and its creatures. Armed with only his own cunning, Isaac will set out alone through the transformed streets of his small town to find his best friend and wake him up. Isaac knows that Caleb is the only one who can put an end to this and send these creatures back to where they came. But if Isaac cannot wake Caleb to end this, there is only one other alternative he has left, one he doesn’t dare think about. Isaac may have to kill his best friend.
