Rate this book

Της συμπαραστέκεται η Φράνκι, κόρη του διάσημου αστέρα Ντάνιελ Ντιβάλ, ο οποίος νιώθει μια ανεξήγητη έλξη γι' αυτήν. Ποιο περίεργο μυστικό κρύβεται πίσω από την Τζένα, η οποία μοιάζει εκπληκτικά στη νεκρή γυναίκα του;

Loved it. Lucinda Edmunds tells a great story and she had me gripped right from the outset, it was fast moving and kept me turning the pages. Definitely want to read more of her books.

This book certainly has all the family drama and sex appeal of the writing of the woman we now know to be Lucinda Riley. There is gossip and intrigue and love and romance and betrayal. However, it is definitely quite apparent that this was her first book, as the writing sometimes feels stilted and not nearly as refined as her later works, such as the Seven Sisters series, showed. There is also SO much that happens in this book to our main character Jenna - almost too much, and in such quick succession. I think this story would have worked much better as a 2 or 3 book series, because having it all in one volume makes the story feel very rushed.
Still a good read if you want a good romance romp though!

Read this book a long time ago, another brilliant story by Lucinda Edmonds aka Riley. An amazing talented story teller, I loved all of her books written in the 90's.

So this was Lucinda Riley's first book? Oh wow, sure you can see already here she'll has a great way to build up characters in books you really like and that make you go on reading because you want to know how it will be ending.
The main character Jenna is a bit too naive in my opinion and despite her bad experiences she makes everything she does is going well...a little bit too much luck and sometimes the story is a bit too perdictable for her.
I liked the smaller characters better to be hoest: I think Frankie, Joyce or Charlie are much stonger and more interesting than Jenna.
Bettina, Gerry and also Jenna's father stay on the pale side- they are a bit boring if you ask me.
All in all it was an entertaining story and with much more sex in it than her later books. I look forward reading the other Lucinda Edmonds novels as well!
