Terrible book!!

Normally I don't write reviews.

But this one is just so bad! Honestly I skimmed the last 8 chapters. Now I'll read anything and figured that I would give this a read since I'm an adult now. I've been wanting to read this since I was young (teenage years) because the cover caught my attention. But seeing how I've matured into an adult (25+), I see that this wasn't worth it! I mean Western stories are fascinating for several different reasons.

It started off decent (?) until the two characters fell in lust with each other. Yes Lust not Love. There is a huge difference. I'm OK with Plot-What-Plot approach to books mainly because sometimes you just need a distraction to keep you entertained. But this... ugh!! It's honestly nothing more than 2 immature kids trying to figure out how to best use each other. I say kids because the 2 characters are under 25.

Information about who is related to who & random childhood events and "trauma" (though I use this term loosely) come up soooooo late in the story that it just seems irrelevant.

Then there are these "powers" that Trey (such a horrible name or rather thats his English/ North American name) has that "manifest" only at the end of the story. (I'm not even bothering going into detail on that. It almost seems like a wannabe Anime Ninja OP Plot Powers.)

I don't have any issues with mixed characters. I love mixed characters, but OMG I hate!! I mean I HATE how Trey (Three Wolves) is described. The fact that he is always refenced to Half-Breed Gunslinger to me just seems lazy. Same with Jennifer being called English all of the time.

Look I'm not going to bore you with too many more details but Jennifer is an immature fool and Trey is just stupid enough to stay with her. He finds out she is pregnant at the end & vows to stay with her as long as he breaks his Comanche Promise that he made to her.

Look if you liked the book good for you.

If you are someone who doesn't like overly flowery details, weird plot points and In-Lust tropes then please don't pick this book up.

I'm willing to try Carol Finch's other books. But this one honestly isn't that good.

Reasonably good read. Second time reading this book and did score it 3 stars before but this time I read it more carefully hence increasing the star rating. The story revolves around a half breed gunslinger and an English Lady.
