The Arvy threat worsens each day. They continue to destroy the hive’s vital fuel resources, leaving us with one option— evacuate to the largest government bunker, located in South Dakota.
The injured hive members are moved as first priority, but a disastrous event occurs on the way to our drop-off zone. We find ourselves in a ghost town, surrounded by spiteful, revenge-filled Arvies. Chaos ensues and our death toll rises. Just when we think the end has come, unsuspected help arrives. We are rescued and brought to an underground bunker.
They call it Sanctum.
With no way of reaching outside help, we must depend on each other to reach our pick-up zone, thirty miles away. If we don’t make it in time, we will be left for dead.
Time is ticking.
My name is Abigail Park. I am a survivor.

So I'm a lucky S.O.B.
Why am I a lucky S.O.B.? Because I got to get my hands on this baby early *evil laugh*. Be jealous, be very jealous.

I'm giving Sanctum five stars for multiple reasons. While I was hoping that it would have more death and glory in it (because lets face it, I love battles and blood and all the good, vicious things), it DID have a really strong love connection in the story, where you got to interact and fall in love with Abi and Finn all over again. Yes, prepare thyselves for the feels! And the cries, and the heat flashes because some of those scenes get pretty steamy! *fans self*

Sanctum continues where ARV-3 left off seamlessly. It was a highly addicting, fast paced read with enough emotional drama and suspense to keep me hooked into the story.

The fight scenes that were in there were, as expected of Cameo, completely brilliant with high detail that left me riveted to the page and begging for more. I wanted to jump in and fire Hellfire with Abi and kill the Arvies myself!

Overall, it's a highly enjoyable read with different emotional layers that will leave you breathless. Can't wait for the next installment and to see what happens with Abi and Finn!

I absolutely love this author. I have never been a real big "zombie" fan. But this series is so much more than that. Book 1 ARV-3 left uncertain of the future. This picks up and takes us further into what is left of our world. I am so in love with Abi and Finn. They are amazing together. I love the friends they have made. This was packed full of Hellfire and guts. I love the action scenes!! I couldn't put it down. It was from front to back nothing but go go go move move move boom boom boom. And those few stolen moments between Abi and Finn? SIZZLE! Just goes to show less can be more. I will be impatiently waiting in the corner somewhere holding my kindle for book 3.

And I can NOT WAIT to see what Timid Monster is doing with the movie. So exciting.

After reading book one which I highly recommend you read, I knew I had to jump into book two.

Oh man Abigail is turning out to be one tough chick outside of living in a hive/bunker. Abigail finds herself in trouble in this new hive she let her curiosity get the best of her, though she learns some information about the Arvies that she believes people should know.

Before she can be put into a cell it is time for everyone in this bunker to move it seems that the Arvies may be making their arrival and everyone will be sitting ducks. This moves us into the story where we see that there are still good people in the world even if they are in a bunker. When Abigail and her the rest of the people in her crew are found in a tough situation they find Sanctum and they end up helping the good people of this town even if it means losing people along the way. We seem to find out a whole lot more on how these Arvies think and move and it seems they could be evolving. Along with this information we have to wonder why Abigail gets nosebleeds when they are around what exactly could this be? On top of kicking butt we see more of the romance blossom between Abigail and Finn. So a bit of romance within a world of dead things calls for a great story to be read.

This author has done an amazing job with bringing this story to life. The plot is steady there is no boring parts, the characters are fully developed, and world is just awesome even for being post apocalyptic.

I enjoyed the story - picking up where the previous book left off. Not sure what caused the crash, but the group find themselves outnumbered by Arvies and just when they were going to be overrun, help arrives. However, their saviors were not what they expected. Everyone pitches in and continues the fight, and to keep it realistic, some of the likable characters are killed off. Will this group succeed in their biggest undertaking yet and make it to South Dakota?

They were some slow parts in the story which I had to skim through, and the love story between Abi and Finn appeared overwhelming to me. There was so much repetition about their love for one another - I get it, but other readers might have enjoyed the developing love story. I didn't purchase a love story. I wanted a zombie tale, and had to turn pages until the action resumed. I was also disappointed that the final 10% of the book was a preview of the next installment and could have been used to complete this book, instead.

Still a worthwhile read about a different kind of "smart" zombies and a human telecommunicator with a special gift.

Abi has grown up in a bunker under ground and away from the "outside". Her group was finally allowed above ground and makes their way to the government bunker. After spending some time under the rigid rules of the government bunker, Abi is ready for anything but this. She has been trained and programmed to fight. Life in a government bunker is like death. So of course she pushes the boundaries. Who wouldn't?
Abi has been a little too curious. She and a fellow group member (who also happens to be the daughter of the new hive leader) decided to do a little snooping. What they find scares them! So much happens so fast and Abi ends up in the hospital. It is here where Sanctum picks up.
The only light and saving grace for Abi is her family, friends, and of course Finn. It is Finn that keeps her grounded. Even when things in the bunker go from bad to worse, it is always Finn. He is the perfect opposite of her, a nice compliment. And when a truly terrible incident happens to Abi, she thinks of how Finn will react and not of herself. You can feel the connection between Abi and Finn through Cameo's words!
During the evacuation of the government bunker, Abi realizes finally that she is and always has been only human. In her bunker, she was praised for being the best shot. She begins to think that she is the only one that can protect all those she loves. But after a significant battle, she realizes she is not in control here. She is not the only one that can protect those she loves. She finally sees that they all play an integral part in their survival.
The battles are bad and the losses worse. In the end, who will live and who will die is a mystery. The stakes are higher and concern is an issue. Will everyone Abi loves survive? Will the choices made effect the outcome? In a world filled with terror, who can you trust? The answers will shock you.
Could you do what needs to be done? Would you allow yourself to become a monster? What if those monsters could think, could talk to you?
Abigail Park knows the answers, even if she doesn't want to.

Sanctum was such a good book! Like the first book, it was full of action and romance. Cameo has a way of springing things to attention when you least expect it. There were a lot of moments that shocked me, and even brought tears to my eyes. It was a very fast-paced read, and took me less than a day to get through it, but maybe that's because I couldn't put it down.

The book itself was well written. Cameo didn't waste too much time on descriptions and whatnot, getting straight to the action. There were quite a few gut wrenching moments in this book involving some of my favourite characters, which kept me on my toes.

I enjoyed meeting my favourite characters again for the second book. I love the connection Finn and Abi have together. It's very heart warming, and the fact that they help each other when fighting Arvies seems so sweet to me. I also love the connection with Tina and Pike, and the fact that they got to spend more time together.

Cameo did a wonderful job with the second instalment in The After Light Saga. It was exactly what I was hoping for, despite some shocking events near the end of the book. I absolutely loved it, and can't wait for the next one. I have to give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

I haven't been this excited about a new book in a series in a long time. This book is everything I wanted it to be, and even more being from Cameo Renae, more than I expected it to be. I am a huge fan of Cameo's work and feel entitled to be on her short list of Beta readers. Such an amazing perk, cause I get to see it before the rest of the public. I was literally devouring this book. It's such a fast read I know you will not put it down. I found myself reading it so fast as the action was happening. I love these characters and Cameo has an amazing way of describing the action so you can see it so perfectly in your head while your reading the story. I admit I am one of those people who loves to get lost in a great book. A great escape from the every day world into a sweet story of young love, enduring odds that we couldn't have begun to even think of. They keep their morals and beliefs inside them no matter what the world has become around them. This gives me such hope that no matter what happens in this world, there will still be a chance that good people will still be around. Thank you Cameo for another great read and I fully expect it to be another best seller.

She's done it again!!!

I love everything Cameo has come out with so far, and this one is certainly no exception. We pick up right where we left off with the first installment, and boy is there action, drama, intrigue, you name it! I can't get enough of Finn and Abi, and I'm greatly looking forward to the rest of their journey, as well as all those involved along the way. Their hope and resolve, among many other things, are surely tested in this sequel, and we also get to meet a few new characters or are equally as interesting. When's the next one out?!?

5 stars (wish it would let me give more!)

The action-packed sequel starts up pretty much immediately where ARV-3 left off. So if it's been a while since you read book 1, you may want to read at least a portion of the ending to refresh yourself. But - be ready for one heck of a rollercoaster ride. I just read recently that the most popular movies in theaters right now are ones with strong Kick-butt female leads. Abigail Park does not disappoint. Her boots were made for the part as well!

Wow! What a roller-coaster of a read! Sanctum is the highly anticipated sequel to ARV-3 and does not disappoint. There are so many tender moments and so many memorable highlightable quotes. I have a bone to pick with Cameo! 1: for killing off one of my fave characters and 2: for making me cry and 3: for writing a damn good book! Go pick up this series now if you haven't already!

I was so, so excited for this book to release! I completely fell in love with the first book and I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next for the characters! This book was even more amazing than the first book! I loved everything about it! It was full of action, suspense and I also have to admit that I cried at a scene near the end! I won't tell you a thing about the scene, but I was praying that it wasn't going to happen and then it did! The plot of this book was kick-ass! It was developed on perfectly from the first book and it went at a fast pace and there was always something happening! There were also twists and turns and the overall plot didn't actually go the way I was expecting it to go when I finished the first book! I love it though when a plot goes a different way to what I think is going to happen and what the author did with this book's plot was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I loved that the full book was packed with action and suspense! There were even a few hot scenes in the plot too! The characters were even more amazing than what they were in the first book! Abigail 'Abi' was again the main character and I loved her even more in this book than what I did in the first book! And trust me, I loved Abi something fierce in the first book! Abi was again kick-ass and she fought even harder in this book! I loved that she always put everyone else before herself, and although sometimes that can be a bad thing, in the world she was in it saved a lot of peoples lives! This showed the kind of person Abi was and I loved that she always had her wits about her! She was also seriously hot with her love interest! Finn was again the love interest of Abi and he was so freaking hot in this book! I just adored the way he was with Abi and I could see how deep his feelings were for her! He was also fiercely protective of Abi, even though she could take care of herself, but that's the way he had to be because of the kind of danger that surrounded them! I could see that he would give his life to protect Abi, which made me worry because of the Arvies! Finn was such a regular guy though and I loved his personality and everything about him! There were also quite a few characters from the first book in this book and new characters were also introduced! All these characters added so much to the plot and I loved all the good guys! There was one bad guy who did something to Abi near the start of this book that I wanted to punch lol! I can't wait to read the next book in this saga! Well, I hope there's a next book lol! This book ended in quite a sweet tone, but it also left it open for the plot to progress even further, so I'm guessing there is going to be another book! I can't wait to read it and find out what's going to happen next! The cover for this book is stunning! It suits the book perfectly and I love how well it suits the first book's cover! The building on the front and the title suit this book perfectly too! Big thank you to Cameo for a copy of Sanctum!

This is the worst book that I have read in a while. I’m finding it difficult to even review ‘Sanctum’ because of the numerous issues I had with the writing… This sequel is a step down in quality from the debut ‘ARV-3,’ and considering it was recommended to me from a well-known reviewer I am flabbergasted as to what entranced his attention so vigorously.

All the lovey-dovey stuff between protagonist Abi and her fiancé Finn was getting over the top. It felt inappropriate to the tone of the novel and failed to serve much of a purpose in the plot.

Additionally, since when are Finn and Abi the leaders and experts with all these army guys from the unit around them who have specialised training and instructions. I'm getting exasperated with the poor context of writing...

The story concept was again interesting and had potential, but the plot was very simplistic. I found myself wanting more sophisticated storytelling. To be frank, I’ve read better from my high school students when teaching.

All I can say is lucky it was a quick skim-able read, especially the long drawn out love banter. I just wasn't feeling it. So a saccharine sweet.

I'm still hoping that Cameo is going to up the ante and this series will improve with the next installments. Here’s wishing that ‘Intransigent’ brings some vast improvements, but I’m not holding my breath.

Notes on the physical book include how the chapter headings suddenly changed after chapter 9 like the book wasn't formatted properly. And the cover art… using the same clip art throughout the series left it feeling amateurish.

Smug and unrealistic. A heavy tone of immature writing and context.

It's like a 4.5 for me, closer to a 5 because the writing and flow were good, the story was fast-paced and consistent, because it was engaging and pretty exciting. It isn't quite a whole 5 for me because some of the dialogue was a little cheesy for my taste, and though I have no problem with that, it was just the way they spoke that seemed so different from the first book (and the ambiance) but this is just a personal opinion. I liked the action that balanced out with the romance. Totally smiled and teared (okay cried) and overall it's just a really good book I dug. I like this series so far, with the way it's a zombie apocalypse but not because the monsters are still alive and breathing. They're just... mutated. And I seriously like where this is going with the main character. I hope to see a bit more "OMG" moments with her and them figuring out a way to defeat the Arvies. Definitely something to check out if you love Dystopian, the Apo-themes, young love (best friends people!) and the classical immoral man that you just love to never have in your life (good luck with that).

Engrossing

I am an avid reader of dystopian and apocalyptic genres. In a world where survival is such a struggle it seemed a bit much for the drama some of the losses brought. I get someone who is a friend just overkill in some places and came across a little juvenile. I would have understood the woman who list her husband reacting the way the author had Tina react. Tina and Pike realistically spent very little time together and barely knew each other.
Abi was portrayed as a heroine that was too young for the responsibility and that showed up in the storyline. Overall worth the read and really liked it.

Life, death and new challenges

I enjoyed reading this post apocalyptic saga. It does seem silly that one one listens when told not to run off by yourself when you know to do so leads to your destruction. Our heroine is a 17 year-old girl trained for combat in an underground bunker. Moving to another bunker they crash and find refuge in what that thought was an empty town. Much to their surprise it contains other survived and more horrors. Life and death will await you with hope and new challenges.

Sweet continuation...

This was a quick read for me. This story started better than the last. There was a bit of repetition but I skipped a little...mostly just info for those who might not have read book 1 (which makes sense). This story seemed to have more romance than the first. Not a bad thing...I just enjoyed the killing of the Arvys more. Can’t wait to get to the next book.

This was a good read with parts that made me laugh out loud. I absolutely love Finn and Abigail and I also enjoyed most of the side characters as we gain some and lose some to the Arvies. However, as much as I thought this was a good read, it's also the type of story that's a one-time read for me.
