4.5 DESPERATE STARS

This story picks up the morning after the end of Storm Ravaged . Gabriel and Elizabeth still can't get on the same page. He believes he has the right to do whatever it takes to protect her and their son, Andrew. She believes they have nothing if he can't talk to her, be honest with her and take her needs and wants into consideration.

At the same time, Gabriel's brother Edward is back and there are a lot of emotions there that are unresolved. He's lost five years with the person he was closest to growing up with a sadistic mother who hated him and loved his brother. Gabriel has a lot of anger and Edward talks him into talking to someone. But true to form, he doesn't talk to and discuss what's going on with him with Elizabeth, which brings more strife in their marriage.

Elizabeth loves working for Sebastian Payne's company and her new boss, Trevor Howard. But Gabriel still can't come to terms with it until Elizabeth makes the ultimate gesture to quit her job to make him believe he isn't sleeping with Sebastian.

Brian Sullivan from her old company of Smith Cannon is back and he's stoking the flames of doubt for Elizabeth, showing her pictures of Gabriel with another woman, telling her she will never measure up to what he needs in a Countess. But his creepy behavior works against him, keeping Elizabeth from completely believing him. Going so far as to tell Gabriel that he's obsessed with her.

"The bool's of the rose by now, isn't it? I grew up in England so I know a thing or two about how the upper crust thinks. With your American mutt pedigree, you haven't a prayer love. In the eyes of the peerage, you're not good enough to assume the role of a countess. You'll never measure up. By now, he probably regrets marrying you."
~ Brian Sullivan

I really loved the end to this series. I loved getting another fix of Gabriel and Elizabeth, and the Winterleagh family. I would have loved a little more of Royce, and to get to know Edward a bit more. But what I got was good. I swear I laughed so hard I almost gave myself a headache when Brianna got mad at Gabriel over telling Elizabeth she couldn't work.

The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because I feel there could have been a bit more background on Brian Sullivan or something that would have explained his obsession with Elizabeth. He made veiled comments about Elizabeth that made her think he knew about her upbringing and her time as a party girl, but we never got to know if he researched her, if he knew her from before she worked at Smith Cannon, why he was so obsessed. Also, that little nugget Magda gave us about who Bri's real mother could potentially be. Maybe for the next book?

I highly recommend this series. Its sexy, funny, heartbreaking and mysterious all at the same time. I can't wait to read more about the family when we get to know what happens with Brianna and Jake in Storm Conquered .

This book is amazing!!!! I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down once I started. It drew me in and I never wanted to leave. This was a great conclusion to Gabriel and Elizabeth's story. It starts right where the last one left off and continues from there. There are plenty of twists and turns and ups and downs in this story. People are still trying to hurt Gabriel, Elizabeth and Andrew but this time it is coming from someplace else.
Having read the two previous books about Gabriel and Elizabeth, I already knew the characters and was completely engaged from the first word of the story. I loved how this one started right where the last one left off. In this installment we see Gabriel and Elizabeth start to truly work out their problems, not just the surface ones but the underlying ones. I really liked the fact that this happens. Gabriel and Elizabeth and still the same characters that you fall in love with in the previous books as they change for the better. They finally start to learn how to compromise and be a couple together. This story is just as hot as the others. One thing that they don't need to improve on is their sex life. It's where they have always been able to come together and that stays the same. You see Elizabeth and Gabriel struggle to not just rely on that to save their marriage but instead to build beside it and on it.
Elizabeth almost walks out and leaves Gabriel again but decides that she is not leaving her son and that she wants to try and save her marriage with Gabriel. She wants to go back and date since they jumped into everything else so fast and kinda forgot that part of the relationship. Gabriel doesn't get it but he doesn't want to lose Elizabeth and so is definitely willing to do it. It is interesting to see how Gabriel changes and how it helps to calm some of Elizabeth's doubts, especially her self-doubts. Communication is huge in this story and the miscommunication and refusing to say something makes me want to knock some sense into both Gabriel and Elizabeth throughout the story but they finally learn how to do it. And on top of trying to save their marriage and learn all this new stuff they also have to deal with threats from a new corner, one they don't see coming at first. It's a nice little twist to the story.
I also love the secondary characters. I can't wait for more of them. They are written so well and I have to come to love them and want their story through all through of Elizabeth's and Gabriel's stories. Jake and Brianna are fabulous and I can't wait to read their story. I didn't get as much of them as I would have liked but their story is next and I can't wait for it. Brianna is hilarious and I love how she just lays into Gabriel when she believes he is wrong. I can't wait to get to know Edward more and find out his story and of course I want Royce's story. I love this series and I can't wait to be able to return to it.
This is the third book in the Storm Damages Trilogy. I recommend reading the first two books in the series to be able to fully understand what is going on and to fully enjoy the book. Each book builds on the previous one as Gabriel and Elizabeth progress and overcome the hurdles in and to their relationship.
I received this book in return for an honest review.

Growing intimacy within marriage has never been so delicious.

I love reading about Elizabeth and Gabriel. This is the third book in a series that held me captivated for all three novels. Magda Alexander is a master at writing romantic tension. She's thrown in plenty of danger and family drama too.

In this installment in Alexander's Storm Damages series, billionaire Gabriel Storm has driven his wife away with his controlling ways. She is an American law student who needs her independence. She puts distance between her and Gabriel, but there's one person who keeps bringing them together, their infant son, Andrew.

Touching scenes mixed with plenty of heat make this a quick, satisfing read I highly recommend to contemporary romance fans. You Gotta Read Storm Redemption and the other books in the Storm Damages Series as well.

First, I want to thank Magda Alexander for understanding the readers and giving them a short reminder of where the story left off in the second book. It really helped refresh my memory so I could have the best reading experience with this story.

For some reason, I still don't love the characters of this book as I wanted to. They showed time and time again that they suck at communication and therefore trust, which is entirely human and realistic, but the redundancy was a bit frustrating for me as the reader. This also led to this book having a lot of angst, which I usually hope to see the tension cleared up a bit more by the final book in a trilogy.

Also, another oddity for the trilogy was that not much really happened in this book. It relied on the angst to really drive the story, whereas the second book had more happening, which I feel is backwards to the usual format of trilogies. I'm not really sure if that is bad or good. Considering that I've liked other trilogies more than I liked this one, it makes me question if this change in format was for the best, but it could just be other factors leading me to feel more apathetic about this story.

I do think Magda Alexander has a talent of writing a captivating story. I definitely found myself getting lost in the world that the characters lived in, which is usually a big factor in my enjoyment of books. Thus, I think if I see the next book/Brianna's book come out, I will check it out. Brianna is Gabriel's sister and has a lot of issues to work through, and hopefully Gabriel's former head of security, Jake, has what it takes to rein Brianna in.

The first book in the series is hands down, my favorite. Had the same complaints with this book as I did with the second. Some editing would help and lots of jumping around. I had trouble following the story sometimes and I still feel like there wasn't any kind of resolution.

Elizabeth couldn't even stand by her decision to leave Gabriel. She wanted to "date" since obviously their relationship started in an unconventional way. But the reason she ended up moving back in with him was because of the sex. Obviously, we know the sex is good and that works. Their life outside that doesn't though. It comes as no surprise with the lies and deceit in their relationship. Sometimes I found myself rolling my eyes and laughing at the silly things that came out of Elizabeth's mouth.

I did enjoy the introduction of Edward. He was a favorite character of mine in this book.

One of the Best Trilogies I have have ever read!

This Book concludes the story for Gabriel and Elizabeth. and I super Love Love Love their story. The perfect ending to a stormy relationship! All of those plots, We finally get the answers that has been brewing up out of brains with books 1 and 2. and a very good HEA at that too!

I love the way how Magda Alexander writes. How balance everything is. Love, Lust, Friendship, Family, Drama and Violence!! all written beautifully and all very tasteful. Nothing too vulgar and nothing too squishy.

This book book didn't leave us with a Cliffhanger but in so many ways, it does too. Coz now, We want to read Jake and Brianna's Story!!! What happened to them Magda Alexander?!!! How soon can we get to read their story?

THIS TRILOGY IS A MUST READ!!!!!

I'm speechless - what an amazing story of Gabriel and Elizabeth's love! I can't say enough about this series. This book answers all the questions from the first two. You learn where there love takes them and how they grow as a couple. This series has twists, turns, family, love, and sex. There is a little cliffhanger, but nothing that will drive you crazy. Just wishing Magda could write faster, but all good things come to those who wait.

Magda Alexander is one hell of a storyteller. I will be reading every single book she writes.

This is the last part of Gabriel and Elizabeth's story. Can Gabriel come to terms with what his wife wants? Or is he gonna let his pride and jealousy take over and ruin their marriage. The one thing constant in their life is Andrew, everything else is crazy. With Edward back but harboring a secret so deep it shuts him down. And Brianna on a destructive rampage, because of all the secret in coming to surface.
Trouble seems to always find it's way in, can Gabriel save his family before someone gets hurt? Who is the person trying to bring down Gabriel and Elizabeth??

Can't wait for book 4

Two very unenthusiastic stars. This series could have been one great book instead three so-so. - even though I did enjoy book 1. Got sick and Tired of E always whining about going to work, degree, etc...You're a freaking COUNTESS with 20mil in the bank m'lady! shut the hell up and raise your baby & be a damn wife. The only reason I gave an extra star was for the hea. Even though the was hea it was rushed and anticlimactic - instate of saying "fu*k me storn" she finally asked him to make love to her. jolly good and all of that ducks. Meh...

I loved this trilogy. There were so many twists and turns which left me yelling at the characters in my head or just truly loving them more. Great ending to this love story...but wait there is more! I can't wait for the next book. I would really love to read a book about Edward as well, will that be possible - I hope so. This book could have used a little better editing but it didn't hurt the story.

Spectacular series!!! It was witty, intense and sexy. Both the hero and heroines choices drove me batty at times but it kept me intrigued throughout. There is a conclusion for Gabriel and Elizabeth but we are left hanging wondering what will happen with Jake and Brianna. I'll definitely be reading that one!!!
