Attitude!: An Anthology

Rate this book
Attitude! is an anthology of writings and images that address issues relevant to teenagers and their experiences. It examines the ways in which attitudes can be created or manipulated through the use of language. The book is written for a Year 10-12 audience and explores topics such as culture, hazards, sexuality, family, identity, making choices, addiction and landscapes.

A carefully chosen collection of material about and by teenagers is presented thematically so that the issues and challenges facing teenagers become the focus for close textual and contextual study. A wide range of Australian texts are supported and extended through activities that involve students in critical writing, reading, listening, viewing and speaking. The texts are drawn from media articles, novels, biographies, interviews, plays, lyrics, film scripts, poems, short stories and other sources.

Attitude! provides a starting point for a thematic or issues based unit of work, or for studies of full versions of fiction and non-fiction texts. It is an ideal resource for both English and personal development classes.
