Jess makes good on his promise to Juan Hernandez to bring in the evil murderous Mexican outlaw called Machete and hand his head over to the Mexican government. His job is tough enough, tracking him through New Mexico Territory, but once he sees the carnage Machete leaves behind, he wants to catch Machete and bring him to justice in the worst way.

His job is hard enough, but he soon learns that Machete has a faithful flock of followers who believe his every word and would take a bullet for him to keep him safe. His job becomes even more complicated when he finds out that Machete's flock of followers are made up primarily of young men and even a few young women.

Jess has to find a way to finally get to Machete without killing the young men and women in his flock, but they keep getting in his way, forcing him to consider doing some things that almost makes his quite the job of hunting Machete.

The thought, however, of leaving Machete to roam the New Mexico Territory, murdering and butchering innocent women, forces him to continue his hunt for Machete knowing full well that he might have to kill some of his flock, who seem to be brainwashed and have no apprehension about giving their young lives for Machete.

Williams is chasing Machete, a stone cold killer. He also is the leader of a cult, all young people. Didn't think as much of this one as some of the others I have read. No real imagination on Thomas' part in the telling of the tale.

The many faces of evil.

Once again Robert J.Thomas has written a interesting, fast paced, action packed Western novel. If you enjoy reading these kind of books then I highly recommend the Jess Williams series.

THE MANIPULATOR

Jess Williams has his hands full. This man he's tracking is the worse of the worse. A man who uses and brain washes the minds of societies throw always, haven't we all heard of these types of psychopathic/sociopathic men who create a cult following by using all types of mind games to control their followers. Well Jess is hunting this man called MACHETE who for nothing else kills rapes, mutilated. Let's throw in predators which his followers become. This particular book your pulled into hunting with Jess you face the unknown just like he does..it's a thriller...

Machete

An interesting read and a dab on the dark side. However, Jess is true to his calling and hounds Machete to the end. This is one time that Jess sways from his mission. The ending is somewhat of a surprise. In the end, justice is served. So, all of you cowboy fans----- "Giddy Up."9

Loved concept, had all the key ingredients for a great read. But.....I feel Machete was underdeveloped as to how he caused devoted followers and the evil he represented. Still good read but could have been so much more.

Jess chases Machete, a manipulative cult leader.

This finishes his last book nicely even though it is a stand alone book. I was surprised by the depth of Jess' feelings for Melinda. Loved the ending. He got his bounty on his terms instead of a Mexican's terms.

Machete

A very bloody and disturbing story but the fact that the main character got the bad guy in the end made it worthwhile. The kids in the story should not have run off from their families. They never had a chance once they got under Machete.

Good read

Jess has made an agreement with the Mexican representative to bring the head of a murderer to him. The man is a cult leader who butchers women. Every book from this series contains the rape and murder of women...hummm!
