Cupid City Security Romance

Operation: Ice Princess

Rate this book
Elsa

My identical twin sister, Ember, and I are the public face of our family’s multibillion-dollar jewelry company and the inspiration behind the latest collection, Frozen Flame. To the outside world, Ember is the Flame part of the collection, the Temptress, while I’m the Frozen part, the Ice Princess.

I’ve never been jealous of my sister until now. As the Flame, she’s the fun, carefree Temptress, with a different man on her arm every night as she parties with rich, handsome men, while I’m considered the untouchable Ice Princess who lets no one get close.

As children, my sister and I would trade places to fool our family and friends. How hard could it be to trade places as adults, at least for one night? It’s a perfect plan until I meet the perfect man who thinks I’m my sister. It wouldn’t be that bad, but now I’m stuck with him for the unforeseeable future as my bodyguard, knowing that every time he looks at me, he’s thinking about my sister and the night they shared.

Jack

As if I would confuse the woman I spent the night with with her twin sister, even though she gave me the wrong name. I’m only pretending not to know it’s her to keep her safe from a threat to her family that brought us together.

Keeping this curvy little beauty safe is my first priority. Falling in love with her is out of the question. The bodyguards’ oath makes that clear: Never let her out of your sight, never let your guard down, and never fall in love. But that’s easier said than done, now that I’ve had her in my bed.

In Cupid City, Valentine’s means glittering galas and dangerous secrets. Heartline Security keeps the city breathing between fireworks and threats. That is, until each protector meets the one person worth breaking protocol for.

Fall in love this February, where these standalones serve high heat, high stakes, and heart-melting HEAs. Guards up. Hearts open. Operation: Valentine gives love the last word.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Jack and Elsa met when she's at the bar pretending to be her twin sister Ember Tempting My Bodyguard. Jack walks up and asks Elsa if he can buy her a drink but finds out she's only drinking water. Elsa asks Jack if he has a room at the hotel and then he takes her to his room. Jack and Elsa find out they're both virgins, then they make love. Elsa slips out of the room early the next morning before anyone notices she's gone. The next day Elsa and Ember are called to their family meeting where they find out their parent's hired new bodyguards for them and they'll both be going to different cities to promote the family jewelry business. When Elsa finds out that Jack will be her bodyguard and they both want to switch bodyguards. Jack and Elsa are headed to Cupid City, so Elsa goes and packs a bag. Elsa has a talk with Ember to tell her what she did with Jack last night, her sister tells her to talk to him and explain why she did it. Jack confesses to Trace what he did with Elsa last night and that she pretended to be her sister Ember. While on the plane ride, Jack watches Elsa sleep. When they land there is a car waiting for them to take them to their hotel. Jack orders room service for them while Elsa takes a hot bath. Elsa sleeps most of the day away Jack has to wake her up to eat before they head off to promote the jewelry line. When Elsa gets to the ball room she asks Jack if he'll dance with her. While dancing Jack gets a phone call, he whisks Elsa back to their room. Elsa finds out that her sister Ember was attacked and her parents put it into motion. Jack tells Elsa that Trace and Ember are on their way to them and then they'll all come up with a plan. When Ember arrives her and Elsa head to her room to talk. Jack and Trace come up with a plan to capture the two guys who attacked Ember. Elsa asks Ember to switch places with her so that she can see if Jack gets jealous. When Elsa and Ember walk out they walk up to their dance partners and start dancing. The man is all over Elsa and soon Jack is pulling him off of her. Elsa tries to leave when Jack grabs her and asks her where she's going. Jack tells Elsa that he loves her and knows who she is. Elsa tells Jack she loves him. Jack and Elsa find out they caught the two men who attacked Ember. Jack and Elsa head back to their room, where he makes love to her. Six years later, Jack and Elsa are married with a five year old daughter Anna, and a son Jack Jr. They are headed to the Valentine's ball all going as characters from Frozen. Elsa and Ember's parents were sentenced to prison for their role in the attack. Elsa and Ember took over the family jewelry business and are making millions more than their parents. Jack tells her he loves her and Elsa tells him she loves him.

She snagged his heart...

..but is Elsa being true or is she caught up in her own web of lies? Jack has found his soul mate, his future, but the job means he must put love on hold until the threat is removed. Jack is initially confused that Elsa gave him Ember's name and that her personality doesn't match her file, but I like that he very quickly realises exactly why the ruse, and that the file is wrong....he and his heart are right. He knows the real Elsa, the Elsa behind the mask, the Elsa he claims as his when he sweeps her off her feet and into their future.
Having already read Ember and Trace's book I enjoyed this one which is the mirror to that. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Operation: Ice Princess is a good, quick, sweet, and steamy follow up to Ember and Trace’s book.

Elsa and Jack start with a one night stand, but their connection is real from the beginning. One minor detail.... Elsa gave him her sister’s name.

When the truth about who Elsa is finally comes out, Jack doesn’t hesitate. He sees the real her, not the mask she hides behind.

Their story has a touch of drama, a bit of suspense, plenty of spice, and a satisfying HEA.

I loved seeing Elsa get the love she doubted she deserved and watching Jack fall for her so completely. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Operation Ice Princes is part of the Cupid City Security collaboration made of 10 authors. This quick and fun story takes us back to the twins of the Frozen Flame jewelry collection and focuses on Elsa. Being the public face of the family’s company as the Ice Princess, Elsa can’t help but be jealous of her sister, Ember, but not for the reason you would think. When Elsa takes it upon herself to pretend to be Ember, she has the best night of her life however soon regrets some of her decisions the following day. This is a fun quick read that is full of sass, truths, lies and spice.

Short, fun read with an HEA. The Ice Princess, Elsa, decides she is going to have one night and let loose. She meets Jack and has the hottest night of her life. See how they come back together and where it takes them. Enjoy

Elsa and Jack

Elsa and Jack have a very fast paced romance. They have a nice connection. I liked their story but it's not my favorite. It's good if you need something quick and slightly steamy. It was okay.

This is a fun short bodyguard romance. Elsa and Ember are twins who sometimes switch places. Jack starts being a bodyguard for one twin and starts to fall for her. But does he have the right twin? This was a fun romantic story with a bit of spice. Good for a quick fun read.

This wasn't bad and I hate when people say a novella that they knew would be short was short, but I felt like it needed just a little bit more information. I didn't really understand the parents and their relationship and motivations. It could have used just a couple extra pages to add some depth to that. The FMC seemed pretty serious about her situation at first and following the rules to keep her safe but that got tossed out pretty fast and I had a hard time relating to her because of that. She seemed careless.
