Celine by Peter B. Miller
Wanted to read this book because of the art industry. Love learning about new things and am fascinated with the arts.
This book is about the deep intense electrifying affection one woman has for another (her soul mate) and how they are drawn into a group that also
allows them to bring others in to aid them in their endeavors.
I found the relationships not only intense and deep but very real.
Loved the travel and hiking as these are some of my favorite things to do.
Although the sex scenes for the most part were over the edge to me, I read just regular Harlequin contemporary romance novels, I can visually see the scenes playing out in front of me-the detailed descriptions were so vivid.
When things go wrong on one trip it makes those involved realize what they do have with one another. Love all the past lifes and the secrets that come to light. Brings the book full circle as to why things happened.
Enjoyed the history while flying over the European countries and all the fashion and art names in the book. Demons appear in dreams and you wonder how they will overcome their actions.
I did find the French translations confusing as you had to read what they were translated in the footnote section, then get back to the story. Made sense while reading it as the conversations meant more in the native language to those speaking it.
Few characters, easy to keep track of as the evolved over time. This book, under 200 pages really tells a very in depth story, one worth reading.
Hope there is another book with the same characters to continue on their journey. Surprised at the ending, it could've gone many ways.

This is an interesting and quick read. The story is so detailed and you’d think that with it being less than 200 pages, that it wouldn’t be much of a story. I don’t read this genre often, simply because I can’t find a book that appeals to me. I love how the story focuses around the lives of Celine, Alexa, and Preston. There were scenes that I didn’t foresee. Yes, the description hints at it being somewhat amorous, but I didn’t think it would be so descriptive. Not that I have a problem with sex scenes, but it was kind of perplexing. The French translations in this book are peeves for me. I don’t like to read and have to go to a reference just to get what the characters are saying. But, with the settings, I can easily understand the language barriers with these characters. There is mystery and intrigue throughout, which makes for a good read. If you are looking for a quick conundrum, then I would recommend this book. The characters are fairly able to keep up with and the romantic ties between them are very well played out.

The premise of this book intrigued me and I certainly wasn't disappointed. This reads as though it was a Film Noir set to paper. Dark and twisted with an interesting underlying story this book will take you on a journey into obsession.

As a fluent french speaker I was captivated by the language changes and really felt that it added another dimension to everything going on. F or those that don't speak French these phrases are translated at the bottom of the pages but I cannot say honestly if having to read it that way would have bothered me or not.

This is not a book for everyone. Just like with the cinematic equivalent it is either a genre you will adore or not be interested in. I personally do not feel that there would be any in between.

A solid 4 stars from me with a high recommendation for this genre.

I found this book very intriguing. It's kind of dark and mysterious. But it takes you a a great ride. It was kind of like watching a good thriller movie. You're just hooked wanting to know what will happen next. Along with all the mystery and darkness you also see how relationships can change and become either good or bad for a person. I absolutely loved the main character Celine. This book is definitely one I'll read again.
