I'm a single mom to two great kids, living in Wisconsin. When i'm not writing, i'm either reading or doing fun stuff with the kids. summer is spent with the kids, family & friends, going to concerts, going to the beach or just hanging out in the backyard with a bonfire and laughter. I am a die hard Green Bay Packers fan & will watch every game & yes, I even plan my days around the Packers when it's football season.

I took a break from the author world and i'm back. I plan on getting books back out there for you amazing readers. I am sorry it's taking me so long.

Ok first off i want to commend Shelly for her debut Novel!!! KUDOS to you doll!! The realism in this book blew me away!! I read this book blind for a review and i am ever so happy my frined introduced me to Shelly and that she trusted me with her baby to read and review.....That being said, where to start!!! I am a huge fan of realism in books and i am very happy when writers especially new ones wtep away from the cookie cutter type stories that are so similar all the time, dont get me wrong i indulge every now and then in the familiar :-)
The twists and turns in this book took me entirely off guard and i was happy to be guessing the entire book. Love DOES conquer once again but it is not an easy road for Katie and Eric, they are caught up in a web of lies and deceit from people they thought they could trust.
Delve into Always yours and get lost nad get ready to fall in love!!

Favorite Quotes:

“It’s Always been you. I’m Always Yours. Now and forever. You are it.”

“There is no perfect time for anything. Life happens on its own time. We just have to adjust and accept it. That’s what makes life a kick ass roller coaster.”

My Review:

A stunning first book - full of twists and turns and theatrics better than any daytime soap opera, and most nighttime ones as well. This was a full on carnival – with side shows, rides, and attractions. Although the copy I read needed a bit of editing, I could see the diamond in the rough. A steamy and emotional read full of heartbreak, family tension, friendship, small town mentality, domestic abuse, illness, pregnancy, weddings, obsession, death, love, and family/relationship overlap that nears inbreeding. Phew, I couldn’t put it down… uhm, I did mention the steamy sex right?

Katie Tanner has been in love with Eric Reed since they were 13.
My heart truly broke for Katie. Being kept in the dark about your soul mate is all kinds of messed up.
Shelly Jones first book was a little bit of everything. I laughed, cried and got really pissed. I hated a few characters. But when Katie got her happily ever after I smiled

Although many of us think we find our one true love in high school it is rarely a true case of true love. Evan and Katie however are a different story. Circumstances and life however have different plans for them. Katie ends up marrying Steve and losing him just as fast. When the news of his dead is brought to her she has no idea what she is going to do. How can she raise this baby all by herself? Thankfully that is not a question she has to answer. Her family and friends move her back home and help her through her difficult time. Years later the one who got away is suddenly back and she has no idea how to react. Katie is still pissed at Evan because of what happened years ago and is not sure how to move on. Evan only wants to make things right and finally have his shot at happiness with Katie. When he finds out everything that Katie has been through in his absence and the people who have conspired to keep them apart it is all either one of them can do to hold on to their sanity and budding romance. Will these people and circumstances continue to keep these two apart? Will Evan and Kristie finally have their happily ever after? Can they still have a shot after so many years of distance and the changes life has brought to them? Can they get over the betrayals of friends and supposed love ones and start fresh? Will old demons come back and take their shot at happiness away once and for all?

Katie has faced more than most have, she had the love of her life leave her, been beaten to almost death, and lost her husband while she was pregnant. Even with all that has been thrown her way she seems to somehow stay strong. As time has past since she lost her husband secrets that were supposed to stay hidden get revealed, Katie finds out that things are not always what they may seem.

Eric is back in town for his best friend's wedding and it couldn't be more perfect timing since he just recently found his fiance in the bed with another man. He has come back hoping to win back the girl he loved that he had walked away from many years ago. Eric has made many mistakes in the past and has grown up since then, now he must prove he will not break her heart again.

I thought this was an awesome debut novel and I am looking forward to reading more from Shelly Jones. This book did have a very realistic feel to it. I was laughing, feeling a little teary eyed, and a little angry during certain parts this book, it brought out my emotions. Eric is very swoon-worthy and how he is with Ava is the cutest thing. The ending was great with a perfect epilogue. Definitely recommend one-clicking.

I was asked to beta read this book and give my honest opinion. When I got the first few chapters, I didn't expect to be captured by the first chapter and wanting more and then harassing the author for more chapters so I could find out what was happening.

Katie and Eric's story had me laughing, crying and seeing red. There are some very raw moments and mystery behind some of the characters, some you get, some you don't and some you just hate. Katie and Eric have had a very bumpy road to get where they are and you see why they have become these people. Katie is a very strong women to the outside world, but circumstances have made her that way. Eric can be a bit of a lovable wuss, but as you get to know him more you can see why.

I don't want to give too much away so I recommend you buy now.

Katie has a crush on Eric. He has a crush on her. He asks to meet her and then Reagan walks in and tells her Eric is hers. He leaves town for good the next day.
Down the road, she is going to see the sex of her baby with her BFF while her husband is overseas.
He was killed by an IED.
Her father and friends get her through this.
Katie is so strong. She has survived being beaten by her boyfriend,Dean and then for him to beat her to oblivion. She had numerous injuries, broken bones and brain injury.
She is just not anticipating his release from prison.
Eric is at the bar when Katie and Rachel walk in.
They are both in Rachel and Brady's wedding.
Eric and Katie work through their issues and live their lives together and with Ava,her daughter.
A letter is dropped on her door that changes everything her life ever was.
Keep lots and lots of Kleenex handy and be prepared to ugly cry.

Where do I start with this book! It was a rollercoaster of emotions! Katie has endured more heartache than any person should have to go through . She's been rejected by her good friend Eric, had to go through the pain of loosing her husband while being pregnant & being beaten half to death! When her good friend Eric returns to town for his best friends wedding things heat up between Eric & Katie again. Can their love for each other bring them together or will the past be to much for them to handle! Although this book started off slow the first couple chapters it begin to pick up momentum & captured my attention! Katie & Eric's story will having you laughing, heartbroken & amazed. Love is truly a wonderful gift & when you have someone to share that with it makes life a little easier to handle! Can't wait to read more from Shelly Jones

Exceptional Story!!
I was gifted this book from a friend who's good friends with the Author, So I assumed my friend was just supporting her friend when she said it's a Must Read.
Boy  was I wrong I couldn't put this book down. Katie is character I could definitely relate to, she's a single mom whose been raising little Ava all by herself,  she's tough and a little vulnerable, she wants to fall in love but to scared she'll have her Heartbroken again. When Eric comes back into her life he wants to Love her and take away all her problems but will Katie let herself fall back in love with him?
I loved the way eric wanted to be a father to Ava, there bond warmed my heart.
This book will have your emotions all over the place,  you'll laugh, cry, get mad but most of all you'll fall in love.

As a BETA for this book it still blows my mind how one can put a story together like this, especially a first book. Katie has been through more than her fair share of drama and heartache, yet she remains strong and it is nice to see a lead female character who can take it and keep on going. Now this is not to say that she is a stone but one thing about this book it is very relatable. Eric, he's a good guy who made bad choices. They have a lot of history and the web that has been woven in this book is amazing. There are twists you never see coming and you still get what you need. I so recommend this, now READ ON!

This was an amazing book! The whole story is gripping and amazingly planned.
Katie reminds me of my mom. No matter what life threw at her ahe picked up the pieces and moved forward. After all the crap she gets her happy ending. She is amazingly strong, caring, and intelligent.

Eric is the total alpha. He may have had his mistakes but in the end he does everything he can to get the one he has always loved. He also does everything he can to protect those he cares about. Who could ask for anything better.

I can't wait to read more of Shelley's work.

This was a fantastic story of love lost and found. Katie just weeks from delivering her beautiful baby girl finds out that her husband has been killed. If was very hard for her to cope at first and as she is just coming to terms with everything in walks Eric. Her first love. Katie has had some really tough times in her past beaten by an ex-boyfriend and then her loss of her husband. Can she and Eric re- unite and trust one another. Can an old flame be resurrected. l loved this book I stumbled upon it accidentally while browsing Amazon and I am so glad I did. Katie is such a strong character she has dealt with alot in her life and has even more thrown at her throughout the book but she's a survivor. Eric ran out on her 10 years ago but has never stopped loving her can he stop running and finally be the man she needs. A fab debut book from Shelley Jones can't wait for the next on in the series.

On skirting the blurb I was intrigued by the narrative, then a lovely friend of mine was raving about the beautiful debut and I decided to pick it up on a day where my heart could handle an emotional read. Man it was a roller-coaster, but I don’t regret reading the beautiful story one bit.

The debut novel by Shelly was beautiful, emotional and raw to the core and showed how circumstances and life sometimes have different plans than what we think. True love, at its core is what the narrative really brings to heart. I am eternally grateful to have read Always Yours, as I felt like the experience and the read took a piece of my heart and the story I will always carry with me now.

The story follows Katie, who has endured and has had her heart put through a blender with the death of her husband whilst pregnant, and the pain of the past physical and emotionally destroying her little by little.

I loved that love that Shelly created within growing the story, as Eric; her good friend returns home for a friends wedding, old feelings are heated to the surface and Eric has to learn what Katie has been through, which broke my heart to read. The story really brings true love and the course that life happens but living in the now is important. Katie & Eric’s story was monumental with the heart, as the story made me laugh, cry, smile and feel heartbreak for the characters all in one. A terrific read. Highly Recommended.

I truly admired Shelly's story... As her first book she did a good job and she should be so proud of herself.. it takes so much to put yourself out there for others to read the story you worked so hard on.. I loved the whole concept of reuniting with your first love and giving them a happily ever after.. Even though I found she used too many exclamation marks and places where she needed commas I praise the accomplishment Shelly did.. Good Job my friend! I loved Eric and Katie's love story...

As the author of this book, of course I'm going to like it.

It was pretty easy to write, since the characters told their own story & I was just there to put the words to the computer.
