Lake City Stories #2

Sinful Cravings

Rate this book
Pia Blyton, a succubus, isn’t ready for an official engagement since her skillset consists of setting kitchens on fire, singing at vampire hellholes, and most embarrassingly, she recently passed out in bed while feeding Valerio Hunan, the most eligible incubus in Lake City. Yet somehow he turns a blind eye to all her faults and still wants to set his marriage tattoos on her wrists.

The compulsion to have sex forces their people to have unconventional relationships. Every three days, she has to orgasm creating energy to survive. She can’t even live off bad sex. Unlike her, Val can’t feed off just anyone. He consumes the energy only a succubus creates and his hunger isn’t on a clock. Most incubi feed legally by luring multiple succubi into marriage with money and power. Val had caught Pia by the heart strings. Sneaky bastard.

When his food supply suddenly stops, he’s faced with starvation. Despite Pia’s adoration, she’s not an all you can eat buffet. He would suck her dry of all her life force within days. In order to save her, Val forces her to leave. With nowhere to go, Pia ends up at the last place she wants to be—her parent’s home, with nothing but her pink suitcase and a list of all her failures.

Pia needs to pull on her big girl panties and figure out why Val’s energy supplies have stopped arriving before he kills some unsuspecting succubus. But the demon inside Val is closer to the surface than either of them realize. When Pia leaves, the only thing on its mind is tracking her down and dragging her back into its bed where she belongs...even if it kills her.

I loved Pia, Val and their harem of men/ mythical male creatures hahaha
This scene at the park with the succubus, the incubus and the fallen angel is unforgettable to say the least!
I also have to say that this series has some of the most " believable described" sex demons out of all the demons in the paranormal romance books I have ever read.
I wish there were more books in the series...

Sinful Cravings, Lake City Stories Book 2, Annie Nicholas
Review from jeannie zelos book reviews
I’d not read book one or the novella prequel, but read samples and reviews and thought I’d enjoy this one. I’ve read several of Annie’s book before ( my favourites being Bait and The Angler) so knew I liked her writing style.
Pia, she seems such fun, but a typical Baby of the family. She seemed to run into problems without trying ( it happens – I know!!) and so far has turned to family and friends for solutions. This time though she can’t, she has to rely on her own resources and I enjoyed the way it really made her grow mentally. Part of the problem too is that she’s one of those people everyone ( except Sin’s pet Demon) loves, and they just help her automatically, assume she can’t do things herself. The fact that when she’s tried in the past it leads to even more difficulties doesn’t help....
I struggled a bit getting my head around the whole incubus/succubus feeding schedule, and how they’d cope with good old jealousy! But they need sex for food so as one person can’t provide enough its something they have to get round. It’s the driving force behind the main plot in this book though, and Pia can’t go to her family as they are already at full stretch, with her usual donations to dad via the vials going to Val instead. That's led dad to seek out another wife and of course the family are struggling with that too....
Pia’s investigations lead to some alarming situations. Val been keeping something from her – again that whole “Pia can’t cope” thing everyone has, and he nearly drains her unintentionally, He’s out of control to his hunger, having left it too long waiting for his wives vials to arrive, and that’s dangerous as he could kill a succubus in his feeding now. Pia is distraught, needs a feed herself desperately and is worried about what Val may do. She then falls into further problems with the person she feeds from, and has someone misunderstanding Succubus ways and thinking sex means she wants to join his family...temporarily escaping from that drama brings her into more danger, and the offence caused endangers something Sin, Val and her father have been working on. See? Whatever the poor girl does seems to bring her into more drama and its not over yet..
Its a fun read, I knew it wouldn’t be a deep drama but a light hearted one, and i enjoyed it. Its a great way to escape for a while into someone else’ problems! I like Pia, wasn’t sure about Val but he grew on me. I get the feeling Sin would like to be more to Pia that he is, for a dark and devious person he’s very helpful and protective of her. Not something he does for many people i think.
Stars: Four, its a great fun, easy to read novel. A way to forget the world and its drama by living in Pia’s ones.

Took me awhile but I finally found what I needed.
Here's the deal & it is super screwy.
To find this book and this series on GR you have to go to a different author. Jaymie Acosta The name of the series on that authors page is Boys of Lake City Series. It will say 3 books but there are 4. Those books are;
Ravenous
Starved for Love
Sinful Cravings
Sated

I have all the books in this series and have read all but the 4th.
The 1st 3 I got when it was under Annie Nicholas and those are no longer available.
I don't know why the change and it is definitely know a smooth change over!
But, I love this series. It's fun & quirky with plenty of adult sex scenes.
Various types of paranormal beings involved.
It's supposedly Reverse Harem but it's nothing like the ones you have read before. This one makes sense to me. While most RH doesn't. Read the series and you will see why I like it so much.

Book that continues the story of Pia, my favorite succubus and one of the people with the most complicated life I know (speaking about fictional characters obviously). We have twin demons, Sin that I do not understand and Val who wants to marry her, but the book flows nicely, although the first two were the most fun comparing the dialogues.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND CRUSHSTAR MULTIMEDIA LLC FOR THE PREVIEW!

I won't give away details, don't want to ruin the joy with spoilers but i will share this was a great read. I loved the entire series. (Grant it the concept can be seen as an 'excuse' for all that smut) but really, i think it was written really well that it didn't feel like that. I love all the character types and personality. Im was hoping to learn more about Nik so if there are more books, fingers crossed for more on their story. Tho it had a happy ending, essentially i was a bit bummed. I was hoping for a bit more of a happily ever after with Sin. I don't know why but i became fond of him.
Point is, i highly suggest you read the whole series (and in order). If you love erotic romance, plus supernatural then i think you'll enjoy it!

3rd book in this series. Succubus Pia is now engaged to Incubus Val, but things aren’t all rosy. Val’s 5 wives aren’t exactly fond of Pia, Pia still needs more donors (people who give her orgasms to feed her succubus nature), demons, and now her man Val isn’t getting enough succubus mojo to remain well fed. Pia and Val are sweet together. Loved the stuff with Pia and her demon bodyguard. Liked seeing Pia becoming a bit more self-reliant. Still not a fan of all the sex scenes; ménage and random partners, just aren’t my thing. I skim most of the sex scenes. Still an entertaining series with some interesting ideas about the succubi and incubi. The vampire has also grown on me a bit. Overall, this has been a fun series to read.

Pia is about to get a shock. Val's wives are coming for a visit - will she make it out alive?

Pia needs to grow up, pull up her big girl panties and grow a pair of boobs. These females are not for the faint hearted but would they really harm Val to make a point? Or is there another wrinkle in her HEA?

Pia does a damn good job of pooling her resources to find the root of Val's problems. No more damsel in distress for Pia! But she'll need to break a few tacit arrangements to see to her own feedings before she can help Val. The suitors come with their own collection of problems to be sure, not least of which is "John's" brother and Sin seemingly feeling that he's hard done by!

This book introduces a whole bunch of new complications for Pia to deal with. It also gave us some new supernatural creatures and a wider understanding of the ones we’d already started to get to know. And I loved every moment of watching Pia step up and deal with it all. Not always with grace or skill, but she still managed to get it all done with only a little help from her “family”. I have no idea what’s coming next for Pia, Val, and the rest of the supernatural citizens of Lake City, but I can’t wait to read all about it.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

After stumbling around and making mistakes left and right, Pia realized that if she wanted to be successful, she had to face problems and solve them without depending on others. Way to go girl! The change was seen! No more mommy and daddy's baby, naive and complaining. Pia showed she was worthy and mature. I enjoyed the situations with several of the supporting characters and how the author worked them. Funny, interesting and witty. Couple of things I learned! Entertaining, interesting and not predictable situations, intriguing paranormal characters, amusing scenes, jealousy, romance and lot of heated passion succubus way.

Well Pia and Val are suffering due to an issue that Val has kept quiet about, but unfortunately for Pia she’s suffering on more than on side. With trouble with suitors, family troubles and meeting the wrong person things could go horribly wrong. But there is some good to come out of this John returns but it may not be the happy ending it needs to be. You’ll need to read the book for that answer. Pia finally is starting to act like an adult and maybe just maybe in this book she can win the hearts of Vals other wives. I’m enjoying this series now just to read the last book.

This has been a fun series to read. this one is book three and poor Pia is stuck in a mess again! she fell in love with Val from the last book and he is having problems controlling his feeding so he sends her away to save her life. One problem after another for them both but it is fun to see how they sort their lives out and make things work a really well written book wish there was more of them.

This is the conclusion of Pia and Val 's love story, with a happy ending, of course. We find out what happened to John. I don't think Cooper makes an appearance, but Pia meets an interesting new suitor, Nik. I really get a kick out of Pia and Sin's relationship. For a heartless vampire, he's a good friend and truly cares about her. I could definitely see future stories following some of the other characters from this book. I really enjoyed this series.

"Succubi and incubi suffered from sinful cravings. It didn’t mean we were soulless, hateful creatures. Some of us were almost moral by human standards."

This was much fun to read! I found a supernatural chicklit series!

Great read!

Pia is finally growing up and it shows in this story. An incubus loses control, a certain demon comes back, someone gets hitched and a new suitor enters the picture. Not sure if this is the end of the series but I hope not. If anything I hope Sin gets his own series, he us quite an enigma and his behavior in this book has me even more curious. I would love to get inside his head. Overall a great rrad and the ending, if it is the end, was lovely.

Addicting, I got so invested in these characters I did’t want the book to end. I just wanted it to be longer and to have the change to know and see more of Pia’s fiancée and her mini harem of donors. Hoping their will be another book released!

This is my first taste of Pia the succubus and a first look into her culture and life at Salt Lake City. This was a fast and short read and there were definitely some hot scenes throughout the book. I enjoyed this read and felt that I didn’t need to read the prior book in order to understand the characters that went on in this book. However, I felt that if I read the first one I would have understood the characters a lot more with the in-depth character knowledge. I adored Sin the vampire and would have liked to know more about his background as well as more about Val’s businesses and more about him in general. There wasn’t so much interaction between the two in this book that demonstrated the deep love that they had for each other that the author wanted to portray. There were holes in the story that I would have liked filled but even without it the book was still pretty good read.

This was a good continuation (and ending?) to Pia's story.

I has been quite a while since I read the previous book, so I don't remember much of the finer details, and there were things that were mentioned that I had a vague recollection of or none at all. But it was easy enough to coast along and still understand it. It's always nice when an author writes a book that is a continuation and you can still understand what's going on without needing to remember everything that happened in previous books and exactly the way it happened.

I would happily read more books in the series if the author were to write them. But if this is the end I think I'm satisfied.

Splendid Finale!!

Pia is once again struggling with her schedule, and her now fiancé Val is not getting his regular feedings which further stresses them both. Her father is also having to add a wife – so competition and tempers and fierce.

When Pia must run to her vampire suitor for help, she instead ends up adding a minotaur to her dinner list, and ruining a business deal.

More complexity, more entertainment and a very satisfying ending to this series.

This ebook was given to me from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
So, now I've read both the prequel and the first book, which were so an so... but this one, the second official chapter of the series, was a good one. Pia (finally!) is growing up, and she's not only a pitiful, simpering creature. Valerio is smokin' hot, as always. Also, there is an undernote of affections with Pia's many suitors, which now I can accept.

Poor Pia. She just has the hardest time being a succubus. I love Nik! I absolutely loved this book! There isn't any part of it that I didn't love. It's a hot and steamy romance, fantasy and action packed full of fun. Very engaging book/series. It grabs you right from the start and doesn't let go! So do yourself a favor and start this series if you haven't already. I'm really hoping to see more from this series by Annie Nicholas.
