Finally, all four parts of The Obsessed Series in one bundle.
Obsessed - Part One
Independent jewelry designer, Ivy Marlow, had it all - the man, the security and the ring. Now, all she has to her name are a broken engagement, the crushing worry of a flailing business and the haunting feeling of complete betrayal.
The last thing Ivy expected to find attending a posh New York art show, was him. Jax Walker is everything she doesn't need but can't resist. He's gorgeous, brazen, unapologetic and powerful. He becomes the escape Ivy has been craving and longing for. He knows what she needs, anticipates her desires and offers it all to her, but at what price?
What once seemed to be a chance encounter designed by fate becomes more enigmatic than the man himself. Jax is full of secrets and Ivy is about to learn that his obsession for her runs deeper and darker than she ever imagined.
Obsessed - Part Two
When Ivy first met Jax, she knew he was everything she wanted, but she didn't need. She couldn't have been more right. She thought she was done with the lies, the secrets and the betrayals, but her past is inescapable, no matter how hard she tries. That pain that she once thought was buried forever is slowly starting to resurface and it may just be too much for her already fragile heart to take.
If there's one thing that Ivy loves most about Jax, it's his relentless need for control. He does everything he can to win her back and to prove that there's more to him than his past demons. He swears he's a changed man, but can a man like Jax ever really change?
As Ivy begins to believe in Jax again, an unexpected secret tears her world apart. Past lovers return, schemes are exposed and Ivy is left standing in the center of it all.
Obsessed - Part Three
Ivy wanted Jax to be the man of her dreams. After all the lies, the mysteries and the manipulations she was ready to start on the path towards a new beginning. That all came to a crashing halt that blindsided them both. The images that flashed across his computer screen are burned forever in her memory. They're inescapable and the only way out of the darkness leads straight back to him.
She knows what she saw. He knows what he believes. Will his unending drive to possess her push her away forever?
As Ivy puts the pieces of her shattered life back together, she's confronted with a reality she never saw coming. Is she strong enough to find her way to the truth? And who will be waiting for her when she gets there?
Still Obsessed - Part Four
The end is here...
Life couldn't have been more idealistic for Ivy Marlow. She owned the business of her dreams, worked alongside the man she loved, and her future was bright and filled with unending promise. Looks can be deceiving though and as much as she loved her life, she knew that she and Jax Walker were destined for a collision course if something didn't change.
Destiny stepped in and one fateful night on a dark street, everyone's life transformed in a profound way. Ivy is tossed back into the past she thought was behind her and Jax is determined to reclaim what was rightfully his.
What neither of them could have predicted is that life doesn't let you plan your own course. Sometimes you have to let fate take you by the hand so you can find your true destiny. Is Ivy's future with Jax or will the ghosts of her past destroy them forever?
Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.
She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.
I went from loving this series to hating it in an instant!! There is too much drama!! And the character of Ivy is annoying! She's ridiculous and I just wanted to smack her!!!
I find it funny when people say a storyline is not believable. . . it's a book not real life!! I love it when an author gives us something different to lose ourselves in.
I wasn't a fan of this book and if I'm being completely honest I stopped reading on part three. It was promising in the beginning but then I became frustrated. Ivy is a naïve, immature, irrational person. Jax is a controlling person, I get the author was probably trying to give him alpha traits but i didn't find anyone appealing about him. She has no backbone what so ever, so jumps to conclusion without looking at the whole picture yet forgives in a matter of seconds. I didn't like this relationship, I didn't find it healthy. I found some of the behaviors of these characters juvenile, with stomping when angry.
Lord what a creepy hero and I am not talking about the sexy possessive obsessive kind of guy. This hero has the makings of a sociopath and his running hot and cold and manipulative ways are definitely not my style of sexy. I occasionally enjoy reading about anti-heroes but this one didn't tempt me to continue. Shudder. DNF
What a mess. The plot was like crazy random events thrown in. Ivy was tstl all of the time and I really didn’t like her. Jax was intense but distant. I couldn’t really get a hold of him. So much drama. Nope this was a miss
Jax is a business man. He sets up a casual meeting in a gallery with Ivy. He saw her when she was dating Mark his business partner. This series has all kinds of twists and turns. I enjoyed reading this series of books.
Jax was kind of weird from the start. Smothery and too close and in your face. Then he'd switch to angry and mean. He may have had a good heart but he was definitely strange.
Jax had too many secrets that he was unwilling to share. And Ivy was too reactive when she did find out something he was involved in. Communication was a missing key here.
This is Jax and Ivy’s story and I loved all the twists and turns that keeping happening as you don’t expect them and it keeps you gripped wanting more.
Love this Obsessed Series. I have read a few of Deborah's series. Loved them all. I just found her complete web site. It has a wonderful series reading order list along with a great character breakdown. As well as a bunch of other info on this great author. I will now play reading order catch up on all the other great series.
A: Because I hate cliffhangers, and I read all of the individual books at once to avoid the anxiety of waiting to see what would happen.
B: Because you have to read the whole series. The story is the series, and you won't get it if you read only one book.
After explaining myself, I'll say it's great to be able to buy serialized books in one volume. Yes, there are multiple cliffhangers, but you don't have to wait weeks to find out what happens. You just have to keep turning the pages. It's like DVR'ing your favorite season of a TV show so you can watch it all the way through. Or like waiting to watch a series on Netflixx, so you can binge-watch in one weekend (we all do it - don't pretend like you don't!).
The concept of the story was interesting, although you have to be willing to suspend your disbelief for some of the plot twists. That's why I love romance novels though - It's a story, hopefully a good one, but I don't read novels or go to movies to see something utterly believable. I want to be entertained and I want a good story.
One major issue I had was with Ivy. Her fiancée betrayed her, yet she was willing to be financially dependent on him months later, long after they were no longer together.
Ivy is supposed to be an incredibly talented jewelry designer, yet she isn't able to support herself, thus taking money from the ex. I didn't like the way her character remained downtrodden and lacking in self-respect.
After saying all that, though, I will say this story is hot. The people are hot, the sex is hot, and it does end with a happily ever after. Read it when you have a weekend free to get through the whole thing.
If you don't like explicit sex scenes, this series is not for you.

There was just enough suspense and drama in this series to keep me intrigued enough to keep reading but the gigantic plot holes, choppy storytelling, and the annoying main characters spoiled the story and really drove me crazy. From beginning to end Jax obfuscates, deflects, and uses avoidance techniques to manipulate Ivy at every turn while professing his love and I hated the way he controlled Ivy with sex. And Ivy is manipulated by almost everyone around her because she avoids confrontation, hides from her problems, and is a nymphomaniac where Jax is concerned. The fact that she lunches, shops and dabbles in her jewelry while buying copious amounts of lingerie but she can’t afford her own rent speaks to why she’s dependent on whoever is willing to pay her bills. I kept hoping she would grow up and get a backbone but unfortunately that never happens and these two characters don’t have anything close to emotional intimacy or a realistic relationship because obsession is not love.
This was the very first book I read by Deborah Bladon and it was the book that led to me reading every book she’s ever written. Obsessed was absolutely brilliant. Ivy Marlow is young and independent. She’s a jewellery designer and she’s engaged to the supposed love of her life. But it all falls through when the engagement is broken off. She’s devastated by his betrayal but then she meets Jax Walker and her world is literally turned upside down. She can’t resist him; literally. He’s hot – like sooo hot. He’s powerful and relentless. But Jax is also keeping secrets, secrets that threaten to destroy them. Problem is it’s not just Jax that’s got secrets. There are secrets in Ivy’s past that even she doesn’t know about. Jax is ridiculously intense and hot. I mean he actually says “your pleasure was all mine,” and I was sat there wishing he was saying it to me instead of Ivy. Soz Ivy... As much as I like you, I’d fight you for Jax any day. Bladon might actually be the queen of the cliff hanger, so be prepared for heart break at some point but I promise she always pulls the happy ending out of her hat in the end.
The title Obsessed is so promising and this book doesn’t fail to deliver. This is the book that opens up a whole world of characters that Bladon has created for your enjoyment. Jax’s obsessions collided with one another in this awesome saga of love, betrayal and perhaps most importantly obsession.
I found this to be a strange one. I felt like there was twist after twist, which was exciting, but I started to feel like it was too much. This was basically one book split into 4 parts. I read them all in one go, but I think the way the book was broken down meant that it all felt a little disjointed. A lot had to happen in each section so that it could stand alone, but that meant when it was all put together so much was happening. Then again, I know I’m one of the weird few who like the calm moments in books more than the exciting bits so I doubt that would be a problem for many.
Overall it was interesting, but I struggled a bit.
I find the storyline a bit over the top. In my option, the fixation of Jax on Ivy is not believable. I guess I don't believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight yes. I am not sure how you can fall in love with someone you don't even know. Jax does his research and he learns what he can on Ivy. He does surprise her. But..... I guess I am just a doubting Thomas......
Overall the storyline is good and there are twists and turns. The title is fitting but I get the willies with how Jax is almost stalkerish infatuated with Ivy.
It doesn't happen often, but I just can't connect with both the h and H. I find Ivy annoying and her many of her (re)actions seem illogical. Jax is just plain creepy and a borderline douchebag. I have no problem with jerk heroes, but there's nothing remotely likeable, attractive or sexy about Jax. This was my first attempt to read this author's books; although I did not like the story, I do appreciate her writing style. Will probably give her other series a try.
I fell into Deborah's books out of order not realizing that she had written her stories around friends and families who seem to all become intertwined. Be that as it may, you can still read out of order and still have an amazing experience. I absolutely loved the story of Jax and Ivy. There were several plot twist and turns that it definitely kept my interest. I will definitely be reading more of Mrs. Bladon's books as I am now a huge fan!
I was hopeful for this series but ended up being disappointed!! The writing was just ok. Ivy started out to be what seemed like a strong independent woman. But that quickly changed.
Ivy and Jax went from being madly in love one minute to being mad and not speaking the next. Ivy would be complaining about him and claiming she was going to move away and then as soon as she saw Jax they fell into bed.
This was a series that was on sale so I tried it and I'm glad I did. The plot was refreshing. Yes the love / steamy moments were typical but the story was unique and had layers to keep you interested. The events tie together in the last book, not necessarily a you would imagine, in a really fulfilling way. Glad I gave this series a chance and I would recommend it to friends.
Loved this series of Jax and Ivy. So many plots, twist and turns to her happily ever after. But she did make the right chose in loving Jax, marrying him and having baby Jackson! Keep up the good work. Keep up the great storytelling. your hard work pays off Deborah.
