After 20 years of knockdown, drag-out bouts, MMA champ Hoyt Daniels put himself out to pasture, retiring to a cabin in the Tennessee Mountains where no one would witness the rest of his decline from his fighting peak. His quiet life of solitude is interrupted by a hot-tempered young man in a beat-up Ford pickup who's got issues with Hoyt's driving. I really like Zoe X. Rider's writing but I'm always left wanting when I finish one of her stories. I want to see how the relationship develops between the MCs -that's why I read romances -but I always feel like we only get the beginning of the story and I'm greedy - I want it all!
