Nicholas, an exclusive escort in Southern California who’s given up on his chance at love, finds leaving his life of seduction isn’t easy. He has his eye set on owning a quaint bed and breakfast near San Francisco. But his madam sees Nicholas as her biggest moneymaker. When Nicholas meets a woman who sweeps him off his feet, his sense of obligation to his manipulative madam, and a client’s self-interest hamstring him from fully pursuing the first woman who’s tempted him in years. Lies, self-delusion, exploitation, and blackmail are all part of the juggling act. The only thing Nicholas has to do: keep all the pins from crashing to the floor.
Actually well-written on a craft level, but an ultimately unemotional, boring story. Despite the fact that this was largely stolen off "American Gigolo".
