Just One Night, Part 5, by Elle Casey is the fifth book in the serial novella series, Just One Night.

Is it possible that these get better and better? This whole book is practically quotable. Everything William says is hilarious and wonderful.

After the crazy way book four ended, William has holed up in his company owned apartment and is wallowing in self-pity. It’s just like this that Jennifer finally finds him after not having heard from him for days right after they agreed to make a go of a relationship. So Jennifer, aka Nurse Ratchet, takes charge, throws William into a cold shower, sobers him up and begins to plan their future.

man in cold shower - Google Search:

“What are you thinking right now?” She asks.
“I was thinking that were I physically injured, I might fear having you as a nurse.”

They pack up William’s things, move him into Jennifer’s apartment, and decide to form a partnership together.

“How have I managed my life without her? I’m not sure of that, but I am quite sure of the fact that I don’t want to know what a future without her in it would be like.”

Yes!:

As William and Jennifer begin to navigate both living and working together, they are also both coming to the realization that their feelings for each other are much stronger than they ever imagined they could be. And the pact they made in the previous book to abstain from sex while they begin their relationship anew lasted about five minutes, if that. These two can’t keep their hands off of each other.

“I’m about to enter the mighty kingdom, the glory hole of all glory holes, the deep, dark, lovely place I like to think of as home.”

girl fight - Google Search:

As always, William’s inner and outer dialogue is constantly making me laugh. But as Jennifer and William are both finally seeming to have some things go right for them, Jennifer is paid a surprise visit by someone that has tragic results. And there you have the next cliffhanger. I can’t wait for book six to finally get the conclusion and see how this all turns out. I so want them to get their HEA.

After reading Part 4 I was a little concerned with where things were going with this series.

But I must say, I like the direction this one took. I can kind of see things starting to wrap up.

Things pick up where Part 4 left off. Jennifer and William have agreed to take things slow. Do things right this time. Date, get to know, each other...make it about more than sex.

William has gotten some rather bad news and finds himself a bit in the dumps. He spends a few days doing a lot of

before he's rescued by Jennifer.

I did think the "British-isms" were a bit over the top in this one but I still found myself LOL more times than not.

Without giving too much away, I like where things are going and I am curious to see how it will all wrap up.

We didn't get much of Mia this go round but the charming Miss Meechum was back so that was fun.

So....no plans to throw in the towel yet!

3.5 Two Become Stars….

First…I can’t get that damn Spice Girls song out of my head…

I liked this one, but didn’t love it like I did the others in the series. I am excited for Stratford & Moorehouse , but this one felt like it was rushed and a lot of content was thrown at us. I assume since things are wrapping up in the next book.

The last chapter...

I'm a New Yorker so I'm not quite sure about William's dialogue, he came across way too formal in this book. The story was a bit flat to me but I liked the direction the author has brought the series.

Once again the story ends with a cliffhanger that wasn't frustrating like previous installments but just over the top for the circumstances and felt odd.

Looking forward to the next installment to see how the author wraps up this series.

The 5th installment opens with William wallowing in self pity after having left the family business.
His pity party will be cut short by Jennifer.
She helps him clean up his act, and gets him to start a joint business venture.
He even ends up moving in to her tiny apartment with her as well.

This one was missing the SEXY!
There was maybe one sexy time scene but it was just missing the usual heat between the two and the entire time I felt like this was just a filler read.

There is a little action at the end that leaves us with a cliffy but I was wondering why that was even written into the story.
That secondary character has so little value to the story.

In any case, I still enjoyed getting more of William and Jennifer.

Well this one just fell a bit short for me. At the end of Part 4 I was wondering where these two were going to go and I'm liking it but it was just missing that steam level that I have come to love with William and Jennifer!

I am looking forward to what will come of their business partnership of Stratford & Moorehouse and I hope they will be able to hand Hank his ass on a platter because I really do not like him nor do I like his love interest at the moment. That ending. What the hell is wrong with that bitch.

I missed Mia and Miss Meechum too. We only got little bits and pieces of them and for me they always rounded out the story. And while I enjoy the British lingo, I was getting a little lost because for me there were just two many.

I wasn't doing much of this....

Title: Just one night, Part 5
Series: Yes
Author: Elle Casey
Release Date: , 2014
Rating: 3.25-3.5 "suck it" Stars
Cliffhanger:. Yes
HEA:

"Bloody Hell" is what I say to the ending of Part 5

***
In this Edition we get:

The aftermath of the whole "Knife" incident in Part 4.

Discover William is even better drunk.

Realise how much of a snake Hank really is and his "twat monster" girlfriend.

The progression of William and Jennifer in their relationship, feelings and business.

The return of Miss Meechum, as short as it is, it's always a pleasure.

***

William and Jennifer together was funny and sweet to see and it's nice there in the same place for long enough to interact properly. Even though they have great sexual chemistry it almost, almost takes a back seat and other aspects of their relationship come to the forefront i.e learning to trust one another and having each others back.

Why the slight mark down?

Although this Edition is Ingrid-less, she needs to be taken out of the equation for good. (I'm not proposing a hitman but I wouldn't be upset if that happened).

As much as I love William, being from England myself I understand a lot of the phrases used but found it a tad overkill and actually I don't think anyone here truly talks like that (no one I know anyway).

Saying that if William wanted in my "glory hole" I'd be happy to respond with "tally ho!"

Oh, wonderful William! The last chapter was perfect and paved the way for the direction this story is going. I'm very happy that things are beginning to wrap up. Not to say I haven't enjoyed this serial, I'VE LOVED IT! But anything ongoing can start to drone and leave the reader bored. Things are really looking up for William both professionally and personally. The ending to book 4 had me wondering how the author was going to wrap this up. Well, it exceeded my expectations and answered a few questions.

Jennifer actually came to William's rescue this time around and solidified for him why she's a keeper. She's also started to come out of her insecurity shell and took some chances on the sexy Brit. This installment had them reaching new heights in their relationship, discovering things about how they feel about one another and standing up to old foes. The British lingo was a riot but I often found myself looking up many terms unfamiliar to me, they're so funny!

Ms. Meechum is back and creative as usual, there was no Ingrid this time around but I'm sure we'll see her again. I love the direction William and Jennifer's story is going, love their cute banter and sexy times. The ending was a mild cliffy but seeing as book 6 is the last according to the author, I'm sure we won't be waiting for long!

Another great installment in the Just One Night series by Elle Casey. I'm really enjoying watching Jennifer & William's relationship evolve. At the end of the last book they agreed to start their relationship over, more specifically, not sleep with one another again until they at least have a real date. William was going to call, but it's been days and he hasn't called. When she goes to check on him, she finds him in a drunken stupor. Instead of letting him wallow in his misery over loosing his job she decides they should be partners and roommates. As she forces him to shower off the four days of "pity party" smell he has going on, she can't help but to offer to help him.

These two are great together, but living together and not shagging 24/7 may be harder than they thought. Just getting dressed to go meet an important client shows to be a challenge. By now we all know how much William loves Jennifer's breasts.

"You are mine and I adore you."

Just as these two are recognizing that they've fallen in love with the other problems arise. Will they get a chance to declare their love? I guess we will have to wait for book 6 to find out.

Jennifer didn't expect to find William wallowing in his own filth when she knocked on his door, but that is what she found. She isn't going to just leave him be though, getting him showered, sober and looking forward... oh, yeah and horizontal, is the plan.

I absolutely loved that Jennifer finally seemed to find some balls in this installment. The insecure girl I wanted to strangle was nowhere to be found. However, as great as finally not wishing death upon the heroine was, there was just something missing for me that was so present in the four prior installments. I felt like just as Jennifer grew on me and became likable, William suddenly started to annoy me. The adorable Brit grated on my nerves a bit. I feel so bitchy right now even thinking about this. I can't place if this feeling is one of those 'just read it at the wrong moment' things or something else.

I look forward to the new drama being introduced to this story and I hope that Jennifer stays on this path of self-confidence. I think William rubbing me the wrong way was just me maybe having a "moment" and that I'll quickly fall back in love with him with the next book.

Always a great pleasure dealing with the likes of William and Jennifer.

Part 5 finds these two in unsettling circumstances that they were not expecting. Jennifer is the one taking control and sorting things out, which is pretty good going bringing more of her character to life.

The chemistry between the two is again great fun, good banter and some real fun thoughts and phrases.

All helped along with the sassy side characters...

I didn't see any exciting moment in this book ムムム

In this book it's all about real estate business and since I don't understand about it at all, I skipped many parts of this book. I usually only read the conversation parts because I was so bored with the story.

I'm so disappointed because I actually been waiting for this and excited to get a good closure, but this all what I got...

I love William and Jennifer's story. This gets better with each installment. William hits rock bottom in this installment but Jennifer is there to pick him up. The chemistry between these two are palpable. The sex scenes are HAWT. And William's sense of humor is great.

Alright we're finally moving along in this relationship. We're in serial book 5 so I'm happy that we finally get some solid movement in William and Jennifer's love story.

I'm surprised how fast things have moved along and what has happened but it's a great surprise. I love being surprised this way.

There's a bomb that's been dropped, there's a cat fight, there's some more funnies...It's fun.

There are definitely some loose ends that need explaining and tidying up so I'm looking forward to the next book. These serial books are like little gifts you get to unwrap.

Time to see how this serial ends.

In this part there alot more developments in character.
William is hopeless and drunk and in house arrest but soon find the hope and love for Jennifer when she comes to his rescue.
William is so clueless as he doesn't understand why Jennifer is helping him when he is jobless. He has never felt this kind of kindness and he is so amazed. I love how William get ready to start from scratch with Jennifer- he is getting independent and taking control and not being a loser by going to his father to get his job back. And I was so happy to read at the end that he was in love with her and how he realised it was the best. It's so cute when he sometimes talks to his mother while looking up.
Jennifer -I'm so impressed with her in this part. She is fighting for herself and being a badass while talking to Hank's girlfriend. She is so strong in this part that she decides to take a risk go to William's house and find if he was okay or not. She is so generous and kind as she helps him to get sober up and to give place to live and to help him in his business and his family matter.
They both together are so perfect and right. They both are kind, sweet and real. They both are so good at their business.
Hope next part is as exciting as this one.
Can't wait! !!!

Note: Spoilers.
• Damn! William Stratford is so adorkable! I want him myself.
Can I have him?
I am not kidding; William Stratford is one of my favorite (maybe on top 5) fiction characters.
He’s everything you’ll want. I love his accent, (the one I made in my head) I love the way he talks. It’s in the line between a royalty and hot musician or a poet. The way he speaks is music to my ears. Don’t ever stop talking and thinking. He even bows. GOSH! I want to hug you right now.

• If I can’t have William, I want Edward. What’s with these Brits? They’re so so so so so… *swoon*
*deep sigh*

• I love love the last part. I WANT THE NEXT ONE PLEASE. I MEAN RIGHT NOW. I AM DESPERATE.
PART SIX PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I thought things were getting a bit more interesting, but I was wrong.

To me, this story is starting to look so unrealistic and forced, like the author had to extend it somehow and she didn't know what else to tell.

She tried to throw a bit of drama with that Ingrid girl, but she failed terribly. She is falling into clichés and predictable things, and I think I can already tell how it's going to end.

The humor isn't that funny, and the sex is definitely not that sexy anymore (to me at least)

I'd hate to leave this story unfinished now that I came so far, so I'm going to read the last part and hope that it gets better.

This is a very strong part 5 !
Jennifer came back as the strong, beautiful woman as in part 1. Yes, she got her balls back and I loved it.
Taking in charge of both William and business , it's like she opened op and bloomed as a rose. Really nice. Things are going a fine way even if there's a tiny cliffhanger.
Can't wait for part 6 !
Just need to add this : go buy this , all of them ! And put them straight on your favorite shelf.

I read all the six parts - not really books - and I must say, perhaps this series was not meeting my expectations. The sense of humor was, as usual, of high quality, as the writing. The British language, in this case, it's hilarious and I loved it. But I found difficult to get through the parts of the characters' thinking to themselves - too long, maybe?
What I really liked about author's stories in general, is the fact that almost all the characters are plausible, and in this series, they were... not.
I think I would have liked situations more likely to be real and, maybe, more of a badass type of guys. William is cool with his sense of humor, but I perceived some molasses in his DNA. At least, because I compare him with other characters of the same author.
Also Ingrid, I mean, she's more like a stupid high school blond, rather than a successful attorney: there is no sophistication to her evilness.
Nonetheless, I'll keep reading everything Casey wrote because - if nothing else - my own language, imagination, and sense of humor will improve!
