This volume really tries to plug a children's moral in where it really doesn't need to be. The characters don't feel like themselves. Wasn't very funny and tried too hard to be something it isn't.
So, parents, what's your policy on character books - you know, those hundreds of books based on TV shows? I let my kids check out as many as they like, but I tell them I will only read each one ONCE. I absolutely refuse to re-read a single chacracter book, no matter how often I am begged to do so. And, sometimes, I sneak them into the return book bag before we've even read them, when the kids aren't looking.
