Heather C. Leigh is the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. She likes to write about the 'dark' side of fame. The part that the public doesn't get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.

Heather was born and raised in New England and after spending 15 years in Atlanta, GA, currently lives north of Houston, TX with her husband, 2 kids, and French Bulldog, Shelby.

Heather loves the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything chocolate (but not white chocolate, everyone knows it's not real chocolate so it doesn't count) and has left explicit instructions in her will to have her ashes snuck into Fenway Park and sneakily sprinkled all over while her family enjoys beer, hot dogs, and a wicked good time.

My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.

Happy reading!

Relatively Famous sucked me in, but Absolutely Famous blew me away. I could NOT STOP READING. I ended up doing one of those stay-awake-until-four-in-the-morning things (thank God it was a holiday today so I didn't have to work, but I'd have totally stayed up and done it anyway). There were times I wanted to slap the heroine, but that tends to happen (poor heroines never can catch a break). I was thinking I could wait a little before I read the third book, but, dammit... I think I need to start it tonight. I have to see how it ends!!!

Given A Copy for An Honest Review

One of things I was looking forward to in reading the second installment of the series was the connection the reader gets with the characters and twists in the plot and I was definitely not disappointed!

I really liked how the relationship between the Sydney and Drew was not superficial and perfect, but was instead like a real relationship. This was seen as both Sydney and Drew had to face their personal and work issues, while still trying to work together to make their relationship work. I don't want to go into too much detail and ruin it for others, but I basically appreciated that sense of connection and realism with their feelings. Can't wait for the third installment and I definitely recommend this series.

Nice story. I enjoyed the characters. The story reminded me of what some children from today's celebrities my endure when they get older.

This series exhausts me and I’m bored.

First I’m not a fan of the “buy the next book” trap that this author has obviously fallen into.

Second. These 2 supposed to be adults are immature and (as I said) I’m bored.

Finally, if the next books were FREE I’d continue but I’m not spending money on this “buy the next book” series at this time

*Spoilers*

Leigh's second installment in the Famous series is another enjoyable read. Like in Relatively Famous, the writing is solid, the pacing is fast to get to the tension filled good parts, and the characters are believable and well-rounded. Nothing and no one is perfect in this series, which saves it from being filed away as another pseudo-angsty yet saccharine sweet romance novel.

Here's what I love about Absolutely Famous:

1) Sydney pulls her shit together and actually deals with her REAL life, not the fake, witness protection-like life she had before. Instead of tearing Sydney and Drew apart, her exodus to London for work actually brings them closer together because Sydney learns how to BE Sydney Tannen again. While she is on her own, Sydney can deal with the attention in her own way, instead of relying on Drew to handle it for her. By not being cocooned by very angry Drew and a few mean looking bodyguards, Sydney learns that she can fight back (whether it's with a well placed knee to the crotch or a stern verbal assault). Her "fuck it" attitude towards the media and fans makes her the strong character readers wanted to see earlier---but of course she couldn't be this character without first shedding her "Sydney Allen persona" and Drew's over-protectiveness.

2) Drew's short fuse when it comes to threats towards Sydney. I absolutely loved it whenever he went all caveman or slipped into his Boston accent. I actually found it funny whenever Sydney referred to him as "Angry Drew" or "Very Angry Drew". From the very beginning of the series, it was established that Drew was an alpha male, so his outbursts and rages about not being able to protect what's his are realistic.

3) The cast of secondary characters (Leah, Ryker, Adam, Allie, etc.) add to the story instead of just being background fodder. They all come across as real people who have real problems.

Here's what I had a problem with (again, this might be nit-picking):

1) There is still no resolution of the father situation. Hell, Sydney hasn't even started to even deal with it yet. I was hoping that she would have at least called him, especially since he was at the hospital when she was stabbed...and he TALKED TO DREW ABOUT MARRYING HER. Perhaps this will be dealt with in the next installment.

2) What purpose does Oliver serve? I think he was supposed to be a possible romantic option for Sydney because they are obviously attracted to each other (and they almost maybe kiss?), but then nothing happens because she loves Drew. There really aren't even enough tension filled interactions between them for the reader to seriously think that she's gonna get involved with him. His presence seems like a tease of a love triangle plot twist. This same issue came up in Relatively Famous with Adam: a hot guy poses a pseudo-threat to Sydney and Drew's relationship.

None of my small issues with the book take away from the great read that it is. I love this series and can't wait to read more!

Heather Leigh’s captivating, sexy story about Drew and Sydney continues in ABSOLUTELY FAMOUS. There are four books in the Famous series, this is the second book and continues where RELATIVELY FAMOUS left off.

In this book, Drew and Sydney’s fame causes problems in every facet of their lives, including their relationship. Drew is always concerned about Sydney’s safety and at times, his overprotective nature gets in the way of their relationship. It’s not easy, but Sydney tries her best to fit into the celebrity lifestyle. She must decide if she can handle the paparazzi constantly following them and the lack of anonymity that comes with Drew. Drew is all alpha male, with a wicked temper when he’s angry and in this book, he’s frequently frustrated, but his temper is never directed at Sydney. Drew is endearing and I love how his Boston accent becomes more pronounced when he’s upset. There are great secondary characters that add to this story. Sydney’s best friend Leah continues to be a big part of Sydney’s life and she always makes me laugh. Allie, Drew’s sister also plays a larger role in this book.

Drew and Sydney’s love is put to the test by circumstances beyond their control. Can their feelings for each other endure, while they deal with so many obstacles? I was touched by the deep feelings Drew and Sydney have for each other. They are always sensitive to each other’s needs, have a strong bond, trust each other implicitly and I when they get together, sparks fly. My only disappointment is waiting for the next book, to find out what happens next. There are still unresolved issues and I wonder how everything will turn out. Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. I found myself immersed in Drew and Sydney’s world and disappointed when the book ended.

Another great story and #2 in the ‘Famous’ series once again told from Syd’s POV with flashbacks to her early childhood.

Starts off pretty much after the events that ended the first, with Drew and Sydney away in Vancouver while filming his latest project. But when Drew’s over-protective nature makes Syd feel like a caged prisoner she jumps at the opportunity to take on a new Warren hotel project in England. She’s off to London to re-vamp another hotel nightclub and leaves a hurt and angry Drew behind. As they live on separate continents the tabloid stories are ripe with rumors on the state of their relationship and of possible budding new romances. But when the subject of private hotel room conversations start popping up on the web the pros are called in to monitor for listening devices and a mega scandal is revealed.

Loved the story when Drew and Syd return to his hometown of Boston – and as much as angry Drew is quite annoying, his sweet, romantic counterpart more than makes up. With a revisit of the hunky rockstar and the Hollywood bitch from the first installment plus some new additions from the London adventure – once again a great cast of characters. Add in flawless writing, a good helping of Steamy times and pages of funny banter with a swoonworthy romantic ending – and you have another excellent addition to the series.

WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!
That was one if the best celebrity romance books I've ever read!!!
This book was very unputdownable, like really, this morning I was on page 20, and the next I'm finished!!!!!

Just wow....
This book had insanely more drama, gossip, romance (I swooned throughout the whole thing), fights (sadly, but that's what media is all about), and it was just Wow..... I can't even form the words right now for this book.....

Anyway, I still love Drew, even though he can be scary when he has his anger moments, but that's what overprotective boyfriends become especially the ride Sydney has been going through, AND ITS ONLY THE SECOND BOOK!!!!!

HILARY YOU NEED TO HURRY UP WITH THE THIRD AND FOURTH BOOK!!!!
I'm trying my best to be patient, but it's nearly impossible, and I just got this book yesterday!!!!!!

AHHHHH!!!!! Hilary, this series is going to be the death of me -sigh-

I'm going to try not to freak out now....
Info later...

Fantastic! This book was incredibly good - I honestly hated having to put it down to deal with every day tasks. I've already downloaded book three so I can start it immediately.

My warning to anyone who hasn't started this series is to make sure you clear your schedule, because these books are addictive and you won't want to put them down, I certainly haven't wanted to. I highly recommend this series.

A Great Book 2

I really enjoyed this book. The couple still dealing with their issues. The questions left at the end of book one were really brought to a surprise ending. But they have the question of how to survive within this relationship with their lives in public. I am really interested in the next book to see what happens.

Loving this series

Drew and Sydney are such a cute couple. I love that with all of the tabloids running stories about each other they know each other and they don't allow the reports effect their relationship. Love how Sydney is letting go of the old and keeping the new Syd around! Love this grouped of friends as well! Can't wait for the next book!

This was just as wonderful as the first book! Love Drew and Sydney. They are my new happy couple. They both have wonderfully believable flaws. I also love that it ends without a cliffhanger, but still set us up for the next book nicely. Once again, well done Heather Leigh!

Great Addition

I personally found this installment to be much more captivating than the previous one. It's nice to see Sydney grow from where she was at and at the same time see how protective and how much Drew loves her. The other characters were a great add to the storyline.

What a fun couple of books so far!

This series really shows the hell that famous people go through to try to lead normal lives. How sad really, but how intense and interesting it is to read!!

Part Two of this nice series about famous people lives which my mind changed about the glamorous mind set for realizing reality is kind of disturbing. I love the MC's but Drew's temper needs to come down a notch. I cringe when he starts in.

I am done, I cant read this anymore. DNF at 52% I just don't like any of these people at all, and they are getting worse, they are getting more immature as they go and just so dumb! they do stupid things and Sydney is the classic poor little rich girl, I don't feel sorry or bad for her at all.

The more I read this the less I like Drew and Sydney. Drew is a complete ass most of this book. He pretty much screams and hits a wall every time something upsets him. Pretty much everything upsets him about Sydney. The way she dresses, whoever she talks to that is male, when she goes out on her own and when she basically breaths without him.
What was the deal with Sydney. She can't be around a guy without wanting to bang him? She supposedly in love with Drew but since he is on shoot and she is in London she lust after every guy she bumps into?
The only thing keeping me interested in the book is what the big secret that Drew has?
