For Natalie Tortelli, everything comes down to a hard-won fight. She’s survived an insane mother and a cold, indifferent foster care system. To stand apart from everyone and everything is to trust only in herself—and that suits her fine. But all that changes one night when she happens upon a handsome stranger, murdering another. To make matters worse, the killer takes her captive and claims he’s part of a vampire race that protects humans from demons. Caught in a dangerous world she doesn’t understand, Natalie has no choice but to trust in him. But her pride won’t allow her to fall for the sexy kidnapper.
She stole his soul
Soren from the Fourth Clan of vampires loves his life. With an endless supply of demons to fight, and willing women to share his bed, why wouldn’t he? Love is an emotion he cares nothing about. But the foundations of his philosophies are shaken to the core after he has to detain Natalie. She’s unlike any woman—vampire or human—he’s ever come across. When it comes time to let her go, he finds he doesn’t have the heart to release his wild and sexy captive.
The power of love binds them
Together, Soren and Natalie attempt to unravel the secrets that haunt her past—which might tie both of them to the vampire prophecy. Though their passionate relationship is more than either had expected, both hesitate to fully entrust themselves to one another. But if they don’t, death may be the only thing that unites them.
Soren is ignorant, arrogant and HOT! Natalie , comes from a very broken, sad and scary past, with something from her past that has always haunted her, an event that happens with her step father that leaves her..in the dust.
Natalie witnesses Soren fighting off the demons..ends up in his Jeep and in his bed!!
The banter, the stubbornness, the sass and oh the spice..this book has it all!!
I can’t wait to get into Prophecy’s Language..purple is my favorite colour!!
I think this is my favorite story so far. Soren and Natalie start out fighting with each other while fighting their attraction. But the attraction finally wins them over. Their story is filled with intense passion which turns into undying love for one another. I needed to wipe the tears from my eyes numerous times . I would highly recommend this story to my friends and family.
I'm in my vampire era and loving Brenda Dyer's The Prophecy Series. Book 3, Prophecy's Power, might have the two most stubborn characters I've ever met! If you think opposites attract you should see the sparks that fly when two characters share the same hard-headed determination paired with a bit of a hero complex. Natalie and Soren should be completely incompatible but when Natalie's forced to come to grips with the fact the world she lives in contains demons and vampires she's forced to trust the most stubborn vampire of them all. Soren.
I don't want me to give anything away, so I'll just say that Natalie has to come to terms with some pretty significant revelations.
And let's not forget about the prophecy, this series is working up to a major showdown!
You know I don't mince words when I tell you what I think about a book. First of all, loved the book. Second of all, hated Natalie. I did not like her from the word go. I really liked Soren, even from his limited involvement in the previous two books, so I was pretty stinking excited to get "his" story. But dammit, why does he get paired with hard knock, bratty Natalie? Come on!
Granted, Natalie has had a hard life. She was almost raped as a child, kills a demon, her mother goes insane and she ends up in the foster care system only to be tossed out as soon as she reaches adult hood. I can understand how she ends up a little jaded. I get it. But my problem with folk like her, just like real life folk with the same "I'm going to lash out at the world because life is hard and mean" attitude, is get over it. Seriously. We all have seriously awful things we overcome at some point. What she ends up doing is punishing Soren because she's a brat.
And it makes me mad because I really like Soren. Dammit.
Not that Soren is a peach either. He has his own issues but he seems a bit more logical than she is when it comes to figuring out what needs to be done and why. Sure, he kind of rears his arrogant and misogynistic head towards the end but he pulls it together. I only wish Natalie would have pulled it together a little sooner so then we wouldn't have Soren almost dying. Because that right there would have been an unforgivable tragedy and I would have had to hate her for real.
But the series is moving right along nicely. We now know three of the prophecy's children, all are very different from one and another which makes me wonder where the hell we're going for the rest. And what the hell is up with Ace? I kind of liked Ace and now I'm thinking I need to go back and see what I missed because I don't remember him being such an alcoholic douchebag, but here he is in all his glory- a total douchebag. I'm assuming one of the future books is going to be featuring him but I bet the next one is Sin. I bet the author saves Ace for last because it feels like we're building up to his story and it's going to be a doozy. I'll end by telling you overall? Loved the book. It's right on par with the others and if you've been disappointed in other series going stale over time, you won't find that in this one. They just get better and better, and more complicated. Absolutely love it.
If you haven't started reading this series, you should. It's really everything that you want out of a paranormal romance series and more. Please visit Brenda's website HERE, or even her Facebook HERE. And though this one JUST came out, I'm already anxious for book four. And I'm sure Brenda wants to enjoy summer and see sunshine, but get cracking. You've got a junkie fan over here on edge. :)
This author has created a world where it is imperative that Vampires and Humans coexist. The survival of the world as we know it depends on it. Following the prophecy will insure it.
Soren is a 100% sexy vampire. . . unfortunately . . . he is 98% arrogant ass as well. Natalie is one tough woman who owns her own drywall company, proud of her accomplishments. She is on her own, since her mom is locked up in the crazy bin. Then she witnesses Soren doing what he does best . . and sure it looks to Natalie like he just killed someone. On top of that, Soren can't erase her memory of what she saw or of him.
So let's recap. . . Soren, arrogant although sexy killer. Natalie, strong willed, proud, has a crazy mom, witnesses a murder.
Soren can't erase Natalie's memory, that should not have been a problem. Now he is stuck with her until he can figure out what to do.
The sexual tension between Soren and Natalie picks up as Soren tries to figure out what the hell is going on. Each time Natalie tries to get away from Soren . . . well the humor is not lost on this reader. Buy this book and see what happens. I have loved both the preceding books in this series and this one by far outshines the rest. The prophecy is going to pull you in and when you get to the other side of this awesome Vampire/Human/Demon series you will be wanting more. I know I do.
PS as an aside, Brenda Dyer, I will gladly volunteer to stake Ace for you. Just say the word. . .
I absolutely loved this book i enjoyed the whole series but this one is by far my favorite i couldn't put it down Soren the 2nd in command of the Fourth Clan of vampires decides to go out demon hunting when he is winessed destroying the demons by a lovely women named Natalie Tortelli he tries to erase her memories when he cant thinking fast he takes her to their lair so that she wouldn't tell people what she saw but their is something different not just because he cant erase himself from her memories but by the taste of her blood after getting to know her and the history of her and her mothers lives she comments wanting to see her mother so he releases her only to find out that she is one of the children of prophecy after Natalie calls him and tells him that her mother has the birthmark that he told her about what will happen to Natalie? will Soren and Natalie end up together? who is Natalie's father and is he still around to find out the answers to these questions i strongly suggest that you buy this book its worth every penny 5 gold stars
I absolutely loved this installment of the Prophecy series! Soren is the best! Natalie is bad ass and an awesome little spit fire. I love how she gives Soren a hard time! So far my favorite book in the series. I also love that the book takes place in Canada - :) Brenda, you rock! <3
Another book in this fabulous series. Exciting, fun and different from the stereotypes. Great characters. Written beautifully so it's so easy to read and get lost in the pages. This one is sooo hot!
Hells bells. I'm gonna have to do a U-turn and read books 1&2 asap! A huge thanks to the pac romance group and author Brenda Dyer for allowing to participate in the Read-2-Review.
I do love me some vamps and this world they lived in was fast paced and action filled. These warriors fight for a greater good and for Soren, second in command, a matter of "wrong place at the wrong time" turned his mission upside down.
Natalie is a drywaller, she stays to herself with no real family or friends. I must say, I loathe her name. It just isn't badass enough I guess. I would have preferred she be called "Nat" throughout the story and with as much as she worked poor Soren's nerves, it would have been fitting.
This was a great pairing and I loved their back and forths and the fact that she never, NEVER backed down. Does that mean she didn't make some boneheaded choices? nope. But even her mistakes were made on her own terms.
Why not 5 stars? Some of the terms used felt a little outdated and\or cheesy that took away from the story at times. The repetitive "familiar but unfamiliar" caused a hiccup for me a time or two. I felt like the middle of the story began to drag on just a little longer than necessary as well. Even so, I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from this author!
Even though this is book three of the series, this book can be read as a standalone.
The characters are well written and will keep you hooked from the start to the finish.
Natalie was crossing Wal-Mart's car park when she witnesses a murder, but not like most as the man crumbled to dust. Thinking she could get away before the murderer saw her, she makes a sound and is running for her life. The murderer catches up to her and kidnaps her.
Soren takes her to the main house where he and others vampires live. His boss is not happy but wants to make sure that Soren doesn't mess up again, so puts him in charge of her and takes his being second in charge rank off him. Soon the sparks fly between them as she doesn't trust him and thinks he will try to rape her, why else would he bring her here.
Soren explains to her that they are vampires and that they hunt demons and that's what she saw. She knows he is telling the truth as she herself killed one twenty two years ago. He tells her there is a prophecy and she might be involved.
This book and I had a profound moment that will stay with me for a lifetime. Brenda's story telling inspires me to believe in the power of love, hope, and understanding my place in this huge world. This story is not just a paranormal romance, but more of a true story hidden in a fictional world. The relation to my real life beliefs surprised me beyond belief. Brenda made the confusing and the uncertainty about my belief in my faith so easy to understand. The best Ah Ha!!! moment in a book to date. Thank you so much Ms. Dyer for sharing the amazing story!!! I can't wait for the next!
What can I say except, Amazing!! I am adding Brenda Dyer to my Favorite Author list! The world she has written is unique , fast paced, exceptional !I thought the first 2 books were amazing till I read Soren's book and it blew me away! The relationship between Soren and Natalie was explosive! With each book Ms Dyer lets you see a little bit more of her world.. in Sorens book we meet Ace and Sin for only a moment, but enough to make you want to know about them... Ms Dyer has made me a Prophecy addict and Only she has the cure! I cant wait for the next book!!
This is book #3 of the Prophecy Series. And Soren is out looking for a fight. He is the 2nd in command of his vampire unit and he is tired of all the couple stuff going on. He isn't expecting Natalie when she comes up on him killing a demon so he has to kidnap her in order to wipe her memory except it doesn't work. LOL Natalie thinks Soren is crazy for kidnapping her and fights him every chance she gets especially when he tells her his a vampire. LOL These two had a lot to work out before they can get with the program.
The beginning of this third book in Brenda's series spun with inner turmoil for the heroine, but action wasn't far behind. When the secrets begin to unravel for Soren and Nat tension, conflict and the pages start flying. I hope this series is discovered by a movie producer one day, because it'll take others in it's sub-genre and shake them by the teeth. Standing by for the next one.
I loved the book and can't wait to get books one and two. Even though this is book three in rude series you had a strong sense of what was happening. I definitely recommend this book to any one who looks paranormal or for this who are wanting to get a taste for the paranormal stories.
Soren. Wow. Arrogant. Sexy. Warrior. Natalie. Independent. Sassy. Badgirl. Destinies paired them together. What an explosive read. Loved the way this storyline pans out. Amazing to read. Brenda is now one of my all time favourite Authors. Love her work. So exited for Sin. Book 4.
I’m done picking favorites. They change each book. I’m waiting to the end of the series to decide. This is a fantastic book. I’m in love with Natalie and so happy with how things worked out.
OMG! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS WHOLE SERIES. The author did not disappoint with this book. It is just as good as the first two. I'm waiting on pins and needles for the next one to come out!
Brenda has done it again. Given us a tale of love, fear and destinies. Characters you go for wanting to slap to give them a hug. Can't wait to see where this series goes next.
Main character, Natalie is not a woman you would mess with. She is tough as nails, no nonsense and independent.
Soren is grumpy, arrogant and surprisingly old-fashioned about certain things. I loved the tension and angst between these too. One minute they were sweet and passionate and the next they were in the middle of conflict. Both are so entertainingly stubborn!
Their character and story arcs were engaging and interesting. It touched on important themes, some of them dark and traumatic, and others about 'traditional roles' vs equality, and compromise. I love how Natalie challenges beliefs and long held rules within the vampire community.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed the other two books in this series. If you love romance books with vampires and spice, seriously, check these books out! Brenda writes with such effortless grace, with an entertaining and engaging style.
Brenda Dyer once again proves her mastery of paranormal romance with Prophecy Power, the third book in her gripping Prophecy series.
The novel thrives on contrasts: light and shadow, love and rage, destiny and defiance… And nowhere is that tension more electric than in the relationship between Natalie Tortelli and Soren of the Fourth Clan. Their dynamic crackles with the irresistible pull of the enemies-to-lovers trope, layered with slow-burn passion and stubborn pride. Natalie’s strength and fierce independence make her a heroine who commands every page, while Soren’s old-world arrogance and hidden vulnerability add complexity to the story’s emotional core. Watching these two clash, challenge, and ultimately change each other, through the power of love, is deeply satisfying.
The world-building is vivid and immersive. Dyer’s vampires are not merely seductive predators but guardians burdened by prophecy and bound by ancient codes. The interplay between the supernatural and the human world feels both epic and intimate, with enough intrigue, danger, and mystery to keep readers fully immersed. Beneath the action and desire runs a thread of found family, the bonds forged through choice, loyalty, and shared purpose.
Dyer’s prose flows effortlessly, balancing grit with sensuality, heartache with humor. She writes romance with intensity but also insight, allowing her characters to explore themes of trauma, trust, and redemption without losing the thrilling pace of a supernatural adventure.
Prophecy Power is an enthralling mix of passion, peril, and prophecy. A story about love powerful enough to challenge fate itself.
For readers who crave emotionally charged vampire romances filled with rich world-building, stubborn hearts, and hard-won hope, this book is an absolute must-read.
This series is fire! Just when I think that I have a favorite couple, Brenda Dyer creates new ones that I fall in love with. Natalie and Soren are both fiercely independent but cannot stop themselves from falling for each other. Brenda has a way of creating dynamic characters while weaving in their backstories in a magnificent tapestry of thrills and spice.
This is the third book in the prophecy’s series and I am so in love with these books the characters you just have to love them as well I really thought I knew what was gonna happen and who had the mark but I was totally wrong so there is surprise in here to some hate towards Soren but also love towards Soren I understand why he doesn’t want her fighting and Natalie’s ability wow kinda cool
In PROPHECY’S POWER, Soren kills a demon in front of a human, Natalie, and when he can’t wipe her mind, takes her with him to their training compound. I really liked Natalie! She was a firecracker and had an interesting backstory in addition to that, some of it tragic, but as we learn more about why Natalie is different from everyone around her, and why she was able to kill a demon when she was a child, Soren realizes there may be more to her than meets the eye. I especially liked the scenes with Natalie and her mother. There’s some interesting history there and I liked the way this was explored. Soren and Natalie are both very strong personalities that maybe couldn’t be paired with anyone but each other. Enjoyed this one! 5/5 stars.
This book was provided free for an honest review. SPOILER ALERT
Prophecy's Power is the third installment do a series. I had not read the previous two books but following this book stands on its own and it's easy enough to figure out what the first two books covered. Dyer creates a world where vampires are the protectors of the human race-- protecting humans from demons. There are references to Lucifer, so there is a bit of a biblical aura in terms of demons taking human souls. There is also a prophecy regarding chosen individuals and their offspring. The chosen and the offspring, the saviors, will help the vampires keep the balance and possibly win against the demon race. In this installment, we meet one of the first saviors, and the first human savior. To combine the shock to the condescending and old fashioned vampire warriors, this savior is also a woman. I am always pleased when authors write strong female characters and Dyer tries to find a balance between Natalie being strong but also allowing the brutal, gorgeous Soren, who is a product of norms from 300 years ago, into her heart. Much of the book is about the mental battles for both Doren, realizing that Natalie is his mate, and how he didn't want to give up his freedom, then battling internally to allow her the freedom and independence she demands. Natalie battles psychological demons, as well as physical ones, before admitting to herself she is in love. For my taste, there is too much of these characters trying to talk themselves out of the feelings that develop, and then the epiphanies are very quick with Soren doing a 180 degree change of heart to accepting Natalie as a warrior and lover. For many readers, there is enough to back up the changes and the story line, but for me it all just skidded the surface. I just didn't really feel the angst or buy the tough as nails Natalie succumbing to Soren's alpha maleness or Soren figuring out so quickly how to handle a modern female.
Still, the back and forth between the main characters is enjoyable and the other warriors are quite interesting, especially the commander Roarik. The depth of the chosen and savior story line has a lot of potential, but in this book the battles, with one exception, are pretty quick and don't seem particularly challenging to the warriors. It's is a quick enjoyable beach read.
Book 3, I must admit the Prophecy series has me hooked, I find myself drawn to these characters and their Standalone HEAs. How Destiny pairs them together.
