From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Marian Tee
When the powerful, sexy, and gorgeous Greek billionaire Mykolas Sallis finds a misplaced cellphone and reads its messages, he becomes intrigued with its owner, a woman who seems to possess the rare combination of beauty, wit, and lots of snappy comebacks.
13:15 How about going for a movie tomorrow night?
13:16 Thomas, you're a good guy, so I'm going to tell you the truth once and for all.
13:17 What is it?
13:18 I'm a lesbian. I want your d*ck - but not for the reasons you're hoping for.
When curvy 24-year-old schoolteacher Velvet Lambert speaks with the Greek billionaire the first time, she knows right away she's out of her league. She does her snarky best to resist, but in the end she still finds herself saying 'yes' to a marriage of convenience, pretending she isn't head over heels with him, and trying not to lose hope even if she knows Mykolas only sees her as a prized possession.
This is a spin-off from the Greek Billionaire Romance serials. It is a standalone and no-cliffhanger novel featuring Velvet, Mairi's friend and fellow schoolteacher.
I never write reviews but I need to vent and this seemed like a good place.
This book was so good and funny until the end when they got married. On there fucking wedding night he looks at her phone, thinks she's using him so he has some woman start giving him a blow job and calls her to his office so she can catch him!! IT'S THE WEDDING NIGHT, I mean wtaf?! So yeah it was a 3.5- 4 star read until that, and then I just wanted to throw my iPad against the wall. Of course she takes him back, but the story had already been ruined for me. After cheating occurs, nothing can really redeem the person no matter what they do. Nothing can make up for that trust being gone.
This book was part of the box set Shades of Surrender.

Mykolas is the gorgeous Greek billionaire, visiting his sister at college. Velvet is a vivacious but poor professor. He finds her phone in the library and snoops through it, decides he likes her sassy texts, then calls her after he returns the phone to lost and found. I did not like the set up and I didn't believe the characters. Mykolas came off very arrogant, pushy and God's gift to women. Of course Velvet was a virgin with a dirty mouth. They spent weeks talking on the phone, then met and were instantly in lust. Mykolas proposes soon after. Velvet has secrets about her family and past, there is a misunderstanding on the wedding night and instead of talking both do stupid things and separate. I didn't like the way sex was presented, Velvet was a virgin and Mykolas couldn't arouse her enough to make her first time pleasurable, she cried and complained how painful it was, not sexy.
I thought the story was about Mairi & Damien!! I was actually waiting for those 2 characters to appears so I read the ending and saw that the story's not about them! so I was disappointed...
The story's okay, I like it but it's pretty short for my liking. The writing style is okay but would have loved it if it was written in 1st person POV.
Very enjoyable. Almost reminded me of a Harlequin Presents only steamier! I can't wait to read more from this author and I'm really curious about some of the other characters mentioned and introduced in this book.
Good until the end. Cheating on your wedding night and setting it up so she, an innocent that loves you, walks in and sees it ?!?!? No, NO Anyway typical h takes him back but not after 5 weeks of running and groveling.

At first, I think this story will be my fave. SAMoC... But it's not. That's okay. The dialogue between H/h are so funny, I laugh everytime Mykolos speechless with Velvet's blurt. Velvet is not a soft, dreamy and blinded by love heroine. She is tough because of her past.
Mykolos is a typical Greek Billionaire. Proud, arrogant, and so stupid that I want to tie him up and throw him into shark's pool... How come he just assume everything and then hurt her???
But dun worry, they have their HEA after a bit unusual ending...
This book was great until about 3/4 of the way through. Spoiler alert: there's a misunderstanding and the H cheats to punish the h. That is a hard NO for me. Ruined the book.
When I was reading the first series of "The Art of Catching A Greek Billionaire", when she introduced Mairi's two best friends I immediately wanted to also know their story and I finally got it. In "The Greek Billionaire and I", it is the story of Velvet and Mykolas. In my mind that time I thought these friends of Mairi might end up with the other Greek guys who liked Mairi but it turned out differently but it doesn't mean I did not enjoy reading this. It made me looked forward to reading the upcoming stories about these Greek men.
I never expected that kind of secret of Velvet but at the same time I'm amazed how Ms. Marian wrote the story very well. In here, Velvet finally meets her match or should I say, Mykolas finally met his match. The circumstance on how they met was quite funny and I couldn't stop laughing but at the same time those hot scenes makes my face burn like Velvet. There were some scenes I had to take a breather because I couldn't help myself but paused at some scenes like the funniest parts or when the troubles start. I was waiting the part where I know something will go wrong but most of all I was waiting for the part where they made up. That was really sweet of Mykolas to do that for Velvet but I'm wondering what name would their kid/s take.
At the same time we get a glimpse of the unsolved situation of Mairi and Damen which I'm looking forward to read once it comes out.
Technically two girls down and one more best friend to go.
Over all because I was so happy about the story at the same time I wish there was more. Although the way it ended fitted the story perfectly.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked the idea of the book, but the writing was childish and not believable. That the "billionaire" couldn't find out about her past and jumped to a ridiculous conclusion, as well as the fact that he couldn't find her after he ended things (in the worst possible way) made her accepting him back completely unreal. I think I assume romance authors know that cheating is a no-go with readers. This one was completely out of left field, and ruined what little enjoyment I had in the book. I will not read another of Ms. Tee's books.

This was a very quick read. Mykolas is a billionaire who is intrigued by Velvet when he reads messages in her phone that she left in the library. Velvet had a tortured youth, but survived and made her own success. Their relationship develops and he proposes marriage. Conflict ensues. Hearts are battered. HEA comes.
Normally I love Marian Tee's books but one subject that makes me feel not so good about is cheating. So if that's a trigger, let this be a warning. I get why, but I hate it. Other than that brief interlude the book is Cute and a quick read. He definitely got me hot and bothered.
I love a good marriage of convenience! I really liked the direction this one took. And holy smokes was it hot! Loved it!! Also first time reading this author, I look forward to reading more of her books!
Poor Velvet has been though so much already and fate decided to throw her a bone (aka hot rich nosey Greek God of a man)! I felt some important parts were skipped over or rushed. The whole proposal and wedding part especially.
Loved it until he cheated. Then barely groveled because she didn't want him hurting after all. Had he have groveled longer I would have raised my rating. But no, as we all know the woman needs to be a doormat.

He is a cheater. He is so emotionally immature that instead of finding out what is really going on, his first thought is to hurt his wife on their wedding day by cheating. This story is a big nope....
Loved this little short story. For me it had all feels of an awesome read. It was a sweet whirlwind fast romance with a little bit of turbulence. Loved it from beginning to end. First time reading this author. I would recommend reading this book
Based on problematic incidents in their past, this couple is challenged by the snap judgements and questionable conclusions reached. Difficult road to travel!
This book was odd, I wasn’t really enjoying it, but decided to continue on with it. Wish I would have gave up. The H is an ass! And to me Velvets character seemed inconsistent.
