While it does not come close to an actual visit to San Clemente, it does give the reader quite the knowledge to see the building in a different light. I personally would recommend to read this tiny book before visiting San Clemente or at least revisit it after reading the book to see the building with different eyes
Standard guide book. Originally written in 1960 and revised in 1989. This is the guide book available at the site so I assume is as up to date as you can get. The site is three periods of building built on top of each other. A nice feature is in the back there are plans of the three levels on tracing paper so you can compare where various features are.
