This is the fifth book in the series, but is written so that a new reader can start here. *This description contains spoilers from the earlier books in the series.*
Alrekur Vidarsson had to wait three thousand years to finally fall in love. He spent two thousand years searching for her, but then she found him, awaking him from death.
Unfortunately, she was engaged to another, and Alrekur had to wait another eighty years. Finally, he won her over and they got their happily ever after...except that it won't be that easy.
The birth of their daughter has awakened the entire dragon species, who had been sleeping since before Alrekur was born. The dragons have their sights set on Alrekur's family, and they'll stop at nothing to get what they want, not caring if they destroy everyone he loves in the process.
Stacy Claflin writes about complex women overcoming incredible odds. Whether it's her Gone trilogy of psychological thrillers, her ongoing Transformed paranormal saga, or her Seaside Hunters sweet romance series, Stacy's three-dimensional heroines shine through.
Decades after she wrote her first stories on construction paper and years after typing on an inherited green screen computer that weighed half a ton, Stacy realized her dream of becoming a full-time author.
When she's not busy writing or educating her kids from home, Stacy enjoys watching TV shows like Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.
( I received a digital copy of the book. Thanks to Stacy Claflin!!! )
This was another great book in the series. Again the climax has me stringing for the next one. This kind of us the secret of the book's awesomeness. The climax. Of course the adventurous storyline is great but the climax is something irresistible. Truly amazing!!!
Now we have quite some new chracters and an entirely new plot. This is the beginning of a completely fresh story. The amazing thing is how the author has connected all these stories. It is so well done and is very effective. It gives a sort of connectivity to the reader. So you just won't stop till you read the whole series.
Another merit is that at no stage has the author dragged the story. It has all been perfectly arranged.
I highly recommend the series. If you love paranormal fantasy , this is for you.
Alexis and Alrekur have had their first child Eylin who will be the first of their line. Alexis dreams of having years of quiet to build their line has proven to be quite the challenge. When the birth of Eylin sets a change of unfortunate events in motion some very unexpected twist and turns have occurred. Alexis and Alrekur will have to battle (again) with supernatural creatures who were thought to have been wiped out.
Just a brief summary of the events to unfold in this the 5th book of the Transformed series. I must say that my interest has yet to be dulled and I could not be more thrilled. I love reading a series that makes you just want to stay inside and binge read the series. The only issue I really had with this story is that the more the series goes the shorter the books get. I feel like there could have been more pages but that's not a huge issue more of a desire.
I really am enjoying these books. There are cliffhangers of sorts in each ... more the end leads into the next story. The only spoiler is really the last chapter should’ve been the next book because the chapter prior finished off the storyline for Duplicity.
There’s plenty of twists in the story, with believable characters...some pretty funny times even in the mist of a new evil
That was hell of a screwed up test from the dragons but it was very unnecessary 2 cause all that death's on hit sides. But the leader of the dragons needs 2 not b such a asshole and follow through with talks. It was really interesting that alre gotten his own power now. It's almost like he was jealous of the sonnet's mark and their 1st babies 2. It'll b interesting 2 know more soon.
I really want to say I loved it as much as the previous 4, but I hate the direction this book took. Alexis started off as this strong character, fighting for what she wanted and then she just gives in to the prophecy and crushes Cliff in the process, I am not reading more because she became someone I don't like.

Great book! Love everyone in this series! The only bad thing is all the typos.I can usually figure out what it means thought. She needs a new proof reader ! You can't allow tell who is speaking either. Over all a great read for the money.
I can’t believe that I finished the book so quickly. The more I read the more I want to read. Stacy just keeps outdoing herself. Never thought that I would like paranormal stories. I do. Can’t wait to read the next while waiting on her new releases.
The main characters switch to the offspring of the previous main characters. not a huge fan when a book series does this but I read the whole book and was not completely disappointed. Most likely wont read the rest of the series.
This entire series has been really good. The hardest part for me is when there are frequent mistakes made. Otherwise, it's well worth the read. The end of this book is so well written I can't wait to start the next.
Have you missed this series? Yes, Stacy Claflin’s Transformed Series are back on my blog. I’m absolutely not in tune with the releases as it’s already time for the 9th book to release, and I just finally got time to read the 5th book. Hopefully, I’ll catch up pretty soon. I really need to do that. But let me get back to the review. If you noticed I don’t have reviews for the 3rd and 4th books, and I doubt I’ll have in the near future. So let me say where we were left in the end of the 4th book.
You do remember that Alexis chose Alrekur in the very end, and they defeated the Nokken, they even had a wedding, and so I thought: “what else should there be?” but then I get this book from Stacy and I’m like: “Wow, there’s gotta be more!” And there is, as now our favourite characters are faced with a new threat – Dragons. Add to the chaos that these news brought that our characters have no idea how to kill them. So how to battle them, when they kidnapped King’s and Queens’s first born? Don’t worry they survive, but I’m not spilling secrets here, better to read them for yourself! As the mystery is very well protected.
To say the truth the dragons were great characters, but their full form description was lacking in many ways. I mean, I didn’t really see them in front of me, and I always loved Stacy’s works for the vividness that she brings in her novels. But well, we are left with even more secrets to unravel, and that’s why we have so many books coming. I guess Duplicity is something like an intermission because as I know in the next books the main character is Eylin. Guess time for Alexis and Alre to step down from the main characters position has come. But depending from the last chapter, we are going to have a lot of fun as well as action. I’m all intrigued to start the next books.
You haven’t read this series? Hee?? You’re missing a great vampire novel here! And I meat it, no sparkling just some hardcore bloodsucking. Check out my reviews for previous books: Fallen, Deception and Betrayal. I hope you’ll grab your copy now, as the first book is currently free! Don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!
Started off leaving you feeling you missed something between books four and five. However the story is good enough to stand on it's own. While I recommend reading the books in order, if you want to read just one, all of this series are good enough to read by themselves. Each book is a complete story, while ending with a hint of future books.
