Round 5 picks up when Lucian and Tara are faced with their punishment round. For "cheating" in Round 4, which was REDIC, Tara and Lucian has to be dominated by the current TOP DOM, Preacher. Lucian is ready to talk Tara into quitting as soon as he sees her until she arrives and sees her at that moment he knows she will not quit, she can't.
Preacher appears to be a large walking contradiction of his name and makes Tara, Lucian, & Steve a bit intimidated but Lucian knows one thing he WILL NOT lay a finger on Tara. He is scared for Tara and what their "punishments" will be. As more reasons to continue the game come to light Tara, Lucian, & Steve make a pact to quit the moment anyone feels uncomfortable of the tasks ahead of them. Can Lucian & Tara complete this round or will they finally say enough is enough and figure out other ways to help Gramma? When Preacher gives them their impossible assignments they already know they are doomed.
Lucian you are amazing! The talent you have to tell a story so effortlessly is amazing. Going into Round 5 I was terrified of the punishment that I was sure to come but was pleasantly surprised, why was I surprised I have no clue because again you are a fantastic writer. I literally LOL'd so many times I probably looked like an idiot, throwing my head back giggling at my kindle like I should be riding the Crazy Train. I loved Steve this book he had me quoting his lines and giggling hysterically.

This message is one of the many reasons I support this author and love this series. It is a wonderful combination of humor and wisdom. Parts of it are humbling and some will have you crying with laughter.
While there are quite a few lessons that I took away from this book I really enjoyed the character development. I love Steve and I think he plays a huge part in this story. In Round 5 we got to find out just why winning is important to him and what he has vested in this journey. Tara..what can I say about her but she wins me over more and more with every round. Lucian was humbled in this round..watching him in his submissive role to another Dom was quite emotional and very different than watching him submit to Tara. It is easy to submit to those things we love, but to submit to those we hate...even it is FOR those we love?
Preacher Dom, I found myself absolutely despising him in the beginning and in awe of him in the end. His beautiful, humble and wise submissive...I want to know more about. I loved the part of their story that we learned.
I would recommend this series to anyone (mature audiences of course). This is a beautiful love story that happens to involve a D/s relationship but please do not let the genre classification keep you from reading this book. Much like its author you can not put this series in a box.

It was okay. I just assumed this episode would be about Lucian learning to Dom better. I didn't get that feeling.
However, I was truly touched at the life story Preacher shared on the pages. His story along with poor Steve's over the top reaction to the adult toys just sang full of laughter.

Even though a lot of odd stuff was going on, still 5 stars. I couldn't put it down. My only hang up is that the concept has been lost a little and now we're heading into strange Survivor Island territory. Suddenly who can do the most shocking shit for points is the goal. It's gotten less about being a Dom and more about who will blindly throw away all common sense for a million dollars. I'm starting to wonder why they are still in it. I guess we'll see in round six.

Book 5 was great. It still had its great sex but was much more then that. There was more about Steve. I laughed so hard at what they had to do. Can't wait for the last book!!!

Up until now, Dom Wars has been, mostly, about two things: Lucian and Tara’s relationship and sex. There’s a lot of nuance to both of those and a lot of layers, but if you had to boil the major themes down to two things, these would be them. We’ve watched Lucian and Tara come together and form this incredible relationship; they’ve been to hell and back in a very short period of time. And they’re solid now. There’s no more, will she, won’t she, they are standing together on a rock solid foundation. Lucian launched a full out assault on every single one of her senses by engaging her entire being through intimacy, and it worked. So what now?
Now the real work begins. Now we get to see how Lucian becomes the Ineffable Dom. Now we get to see how reflexes get re-wired. Now we get to see what happens when two newly born people, still in the process of letting their wings dry, go about learning to fly.
Lucian’s work lies with his relationship with his father. His reflex is automatic rebellion, no matter the instigation. His reflex is to default to the inner monologue instilled by his father long ago that he’s not good enough, not worth enough, not capable enough. The snake chasing its tail is that cycle of damnation and rebellion. In order to finish his transformation into the Ineffable Dom, Lucian must first knock that cycle off course and hardwire new reflexes into place. He has to re-learn how to trust himself on new legs.
Round 5 also brings us a new level of Steve. He goes from the cheery, problem-solving sidekick to a main character in this round when he’s made to pay penance right along with Lucian and Tara for their rule breaking behavior before Round 4. Steve brings a wonderful dose of humor to what would otherwise be some pretty painful and uncomfortable situations.
Last, but certainly, not least is the Preacher Dom. Designated to meet out Lucian and Tara’s punishment for breaking rules, he’s set up as the bad guy. He’s set up in such a way that we shouldn’t like him. Shouldn’t want to know anything about him other than, hopefully, he’ll leave Lucian and Tara alone. But I fell head over heels for him. This man has survived the seven levels of hell through the grace of love and faith and to watch him dole out that faith and that love as lessons instead of punishment is glorious indeed.
Lucian Bane has written a pivotal book with Round 5. This book peels back the façade of pleasure, success and simplicity of competition and exposes the interior framework still under construction. Exposes the raw nerves and, in the end, the immense power and beauty waiting to be claimed by doing that work. This Round is well balanced between humor, introspection and some truly lovely (and hot as hell) scenes of intimacy with Lucian and Tara. Bane continues to have moments of absolute perfection with his writing. Moments that make me stop and have to re-read entire sections several times just for the sheer joy of it. Those moments alone are enough to keep me shouting from the rooftops that everyone should read this series.
I don’t know what the final round has in store for our crusaders. But I do know that as long as their journey continues to be laced through with the same heart, soul and laughter than exist in all the previous rounds, it will be nothing short of epic.

I may be running out of superlatives to describe these amazing books, but the 'Word Wizard', Lucian Bane, is certainly not losing his any of his magical ability to tell a phenomenal story! The books in this series just keep getting better!! What comes out of Lucian's head and onto the virtual paper astounds me. The story line is incredibly creative and unique, the humor will definitely have you laughing out loud, and the passionate scenes Lucian and Tara share will have you turning up your air conditioning at the very least!
In this round, Lucian (the author) has come up with a most bizarre set of assignments for the characters to complete in order to remain as competitors in the Dom Wars. Thankfully they have the ever faithful Steve as their chaperone to help them. Poor Steve is so far out of his element that he provides some the most side-splitting, hysterically funny scenes in the book! (Yes Lucian, Steve does need a Fairy Godmother!) In addition to Lucian, Tara, and Steve, two new characters, Preacher and his wife Becca are now part of Team U.S.A., and again author Lucian Bane demonstrates his remarkable talent for giving his characters passionate personality traits. The Preacher constantly surprised me and my feelings for him were ever changing as his layers were peeled away. He became an unwanted teacher for Lucian, created to convey the author's message of what being dominant truly means.
I highly recommend this book!! Absolutely five star entertainment!! Round 6.......bring it on Lucian Bane, I can't wait!!

Another shaky test down...and still on top!
It would seem there is little to no hope left for Lucian and Tara. They have already undergone so much, that their combined domination could not be questioned. But not everything is as it seems. And no everyone is who you think they are. Preacher seems to be the one to dole out the punishment, but is it just because he's cruel or is there more to him. And how will this challenge affect the love trying to bloom between America's favorite couple?

These are to be on my top favorite books. They suck you in and spit you out. While all you want is another taste!!

Oh, no. Probably inevitable that the bloom would go off the rose. Lucian Bane the author lost some of his shine with this one. FYI, Mr. Bane--there are no wolf packs roaming the mid-South woods. The only named story locations I've noted so far are Alabama, Louisiana, and Missouri -- a long way from the upper reaches of Montana and Wyoming where, arguably, one might find wolves. Never mind that wolves wouldn't act this way...
Also, the storyline suffers from the unbelievably stupid challenges these characters were expected to meet in marketing the products. I'll grant that reality competitions are often stupid beyond belief, but in this story so far, the action has centered around the two main characters. That kind of dropped off in this segment, which confused the flow. I get that it's hard to sustain the exciting tone that existed when the challenge centered around the characters' sexual and emotional adventuring with each other. But sex toys in funeral homes doesn't cut it.
Here's hoping the author reignites this fire he started with this story.

Lucian Bane you have done it again! The way you have developed and molded these characters is simply beautiful. You had me at round one, round three my heart was attached to Tara on so many levels, round four you blew me away and now! Now I am head over heels deeply madly so emotionally attached to Tara & Lucian and now Steve.... oh sweet loveable huggable Steve! This round is by far the funniest. I only have one complaint for this round.... it was not long enough. I really wanted more interaction with Preacher and Lucian. There is something about those two that I can't put my finger on. Maybe a they're so different they're the same vibe. I don't know what it is. And Tara and Steve, those two play very well off each other. The support that all three have for each other, the banter back and forth, just love it. I can't wait for round 6.

LMFAO!! Ok Ok.. OMG! LOL!! oK oK, this Round was simply hilarious but really selling sex toys in a funeral home is absolutely ridiculous and extremely gut bust-ing-ly unbelievable.
These Rounds always seem to be so centered on Tara and Lucian supped up Sex Life to point sometimes they seem to be almost like a bad 80's porn flick. I have to say though I'm thankful I went ahead and devoured this one for the author almost lost me in Round 4.
The humor and romance between Lucian and Tara is what this reader wanted, not to mention the crazy characters the author created. I am at once smitten with the Preacher and wish I was the one cradling Steve in my arms in his hours of horror.
The Cover on this beauty is divine... it's, and I quote the Author.. "superf*kingfabulicious"!
On to Round 6 I go...

The Preacher
One tough cookie that's for sure. This book was completely hilarious I really busted out in some serious laughs on this one. Round Five: selling sex toys to 3 destinations. Intriguing and very funny throughout the whole book.
This book was action-packed with heated sexual scenes with intense drama.
Completely amusing and definitely exciting I couldn't put the book down.
Preacher was an awe-inspiring character and had a deep personality.
I loved the fact Tara and Lucian have finally come to terms with there relationship and are completely in love. I definitely loved Steve! by for my favorite with how he handled the challenges and got a kick out of most of things they were trying to sell.
I cant wait to read this next book and see how they handle this next challenge!!!

Oh my goodness. I think this is my 2nd fave of the Dom Wars Series!
I laughed so freaking hard when "Betty" came along...My husband gives me that sideways look and said I thought you were reading, so then I had to read that chapter to him..oh and I laughed again so hard!
I love the fact that Tara has come to the conclusion that she loves Lucian and isn't afraid to say it, and doesn't shy away from him any longer. I love how Lucian can bare himself and submit in whatever form necessary to protect Tara. Love Love Love this series!
And Preacher Dom, oh how whipped he is! I think his rough and gruff and oh so religious character is super fit with Lucian's me and Tara and fuck the rest of ya attitude!
I loved how Steve got to play a much more involved roll in DW 5!!! He brings such a new dynamic.

The top Dom is in total control of the group. Lucian and Tara's chaperone is also involved in this round. Their goals for this round is to sell certain merchandise to three different groups of people. These groups however don't need such items. The more they sell, the more points they earn. No sale results in punishment by the head Dom! What will happen in this round? Will they earn enough points to continue or will their actions cause them to be eliminated? Round 5- Punishment Round- You finally see what the Preacher is like. When the preacher tells Lucian, Tara, Steve about the the tasks at hand. You can see how Steve is having a hard time adjusting to the task. When Lucian's round doesn't work, they have to do a penalty round and bring a blow up doll to a restaurant. Betty was Hilarious!! Then when they move on to Tara's turn you see where she takes what went wrong in Lucian's round and adjusts to get a better reaction. Then comes Steve's Round- Hilarious, Steve had me laughing so hard. He rocked it!!!
Again this series is great! Everyone must read to see how Lucian and Tara's relationship has developed. Lucian Bane is an excellent Author!! MUST READ!!

WOW! IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!! I've got to say the series is awesome and the I love Lucian and Tara but this part was all for PREACHER! I liked him from the very first scene that he appeared in and hoped he'd be one of those awesome, misjudged people. And, I'm so glad that I was right. I loved Preacher, I loved his story and I'd love to read more about him. The sixth and last part seems to be really really interesting and I'm dying to get started on it. I've said it before but I just need to say it again- Awesome series with a perfect balance of love and tenderness, kinky lovemaking, sorrow and hidden demons, fun, and thrill. I love erotic novels that have a good, solid story to go with the hot scenes and this was perfectly so.

Wow Lucian did it again!!! Each and every Dom Wars Round has been superb, and was anticipating how Round 5 was going to top it! Well he definitely did not disappoint. This round had me laughing so hard (out loud). I think my husband may think I'm certifiable now. At other times he really made you feel for each character involved, digging more deeply into who they are and what they've been through. Steve's character made such a huge impression in this book, I loved the things that would come out if his mouth! The Resteraunt scene was my absolute favorite!! Thank you Lucian!! Excited for around 6 and what it holds.

Dom Wars Round 5 was a definitely an adventure. Of course it makes you laugh like all the other rounds. The writing is still freaking amazing. It still makes you love Lucian and Tara just as much, if not more.
I really loved this one because Steve is more of a prominent character in this. You just can't help but fall in love with him. You want to crawl into the book and just protect him and hold him at times but you are also laughing at the things that come out of his mouth. Great guy and I love that Lucian wrote him more in the story.
As far as the rest, here is my short and sweet:
DW5...heartbreaking...hilarious...intense...sexy...FUCKING BRILLIANT!

It just keeps getting better and better!
The relationship between Lucian and Tara is amazing and inspiring. These two have become so close under such strange and stressful circumstances and yes competing in a contest only one can win. But what shines through in this book and in the previous rounds is how deeply Lucian truly cares for Tara. How far he is willing to bend for the woman he loves and cherishes. A true Dom ensuring that his woman is always loved and put first! Can't wait for the next round Lucian!!!!

Holy hell!! Another amazing Dom wars book!!
One more round to go....but will Lucian and Tara win?
This dom wars book at so much humour. I mean...musical condoms!? Like wtf!? had me in stitches at the restaurant scene (not gonna ruin it for y'all)
At one point it was quite scary, intense and heart stoppingly freaky!
Some of this story was also completely mind boggling. Steve is absolutely fantastic....his puns and witty sense of humour and also his complete ignorance had me in total stitches!

Round 5 is a must read ladies!! This book had me cracking up, and holding my breath at the same time.
Lucian and Tara has been caught cheating, so they have to meet the Top Dom.. The Preacher ( EEK ). Lucian is ready to jump ship, so can Tara convince him not to quit, so she can save her grams. Our favorite boy Steve gets caught up in the mix of the game, so get ready to laugh your a** off!!

Man, if I could give this book more than 5 stars I would!! Lucian Bane really out did himself on this one. I laughed so hard my family thought that I was going nuts. There were even a few moments where I had tears running down my face because I was laughing so hard. The sex scenes were hot as always and the love between Lucian and Tara is always front and center. I even read my husband the scene with Betty! Way to Go LB can’t wait for Round 6!

Another round in the competition and Lucian Bane does not disappoint. The story keeps getting better and better! I was on the edge of my seat in the woods with the wolves, but could not stop laughing in the restaurant and the funeral home. Steve was absolutely hilarious. I enjoy seeing Lucian and Tara's relationship continuing to blossom even under the intense situation. Looking forward to the final round!

Oh my! I loved this book! I felt every emotion from sadness to pee-my-pants laughing! I wanted to hate Preacher Dom, but wound up really liking him! And his wife- so sweet but commanding! Tara and Lucian are still in the game but more trials and punishments are on the horizon. You can feel their love growing in each round. This is a wonderful set the stage book for the last dom wars #6! I can't wait for more yummy goodness!

Dom Wars Round 5 was hot and amazing read. I laugh at poor Steve. Lucian and Tara still in love with each other and Lucian still a protector for her and Steve since they have become friends will do anything to keep them safe. Now the preacher was added and his wife are a couple who is rough around the edges but you find out what makes they work together and tick. Great read loved it. Love this series!!!

Ok! So he did it AGAIN! Lucian Bane had me laughing, chuckling & even in tears. Another very well story line written. What I loved about round 5 was that the additional characters, Steve & the Preacher come to life on their own & add so much more to Lucian & Tara making their story that much better.
So much emotion in his words that come to life in your heart & mind. And of course the sex is simply HOT! Very well done Mr. Bane a ROUND of applause to you.

These books are AMAZING..They are an addiction from the beginning..They are such a sweet sweet build up..and have such twist and turns.. Your always desiring a yummy release..They keep u emotional and rooting for LOVE for Lucian Bane & Tara throughout..u feel like ur there with them begging Tara to listen or fighting for Lucian to keep it all together..Lucian is an amazing writer it takes an creative mind to do what he does..DOM WARS BABY!!
