Why is the Goat Sin of Lust emotionless? How can an emotionless being be lustful? Why does the larger arc make so little sense?

After seeing what "Fullmetal Alchemist" can do with the genre, after following "Bleach" until it got drawn-out and boring, after thinking back on my memories of "Naruto", I mostly feel disappointed.

"Seven Deadly Sins" is filled with battles and quests, but every reveal feels like it was made up five seconds ago to forward the plot (such as it is). There's little foreshadowing, it's hard not to notice that the seven Sins barely know each other and that Elizabeth is more of a plot device than someone with her own personality and arc.

Sanırım Gerekli Şeyler bu cildi basarken bazı terslikler yaşanmış çünkü hem diğer sayılarının aksine şömizi yok ve sırt kısmındaki yazar adı eksik. Elimdeki korsan baskı mı diye düşünüp kontrol etmem gerekti.

Gowther'in hikayeye girişiyle seri biraz daha yolunu bulmaya başlıyor.

Another excellent, exciting, funny entry for this manga. As usual a new Sin has joined the group and we get to know him a bit more; he's a bit strange and certainly different from the others at this point. Now a total of five Sins are gathered. The plot has gone up a notch as we learn some creepy horrors from the Holy Knights' past and it is revealed the ultimate plan of the evil Chief Holy Knight Hendrickson. The book ends with a cliffhanger as a new plot development occurs also hinting at the arrival of the next deadly sin. I love all the characters in this series, and there are a lot! It is such a fun fantasy quest/good vs evil series, I always look forward to the new issue and have been delighted with each volume.

What I am going to write is pretty similar to what I wrote for the previous volume even though the events are completely different. The fight scenes are fun and creative but storywise, nothing much happened once again. Gowther, the Sin of Lust, joins and that means 5 out 7 of the Sins are here (which is pretty quick since we are only in the 8th volume). I like it in general (I mean the series as well) but I am still not sure about the story. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the following volumes.

While this won't ever be my favourite series, I think it has improved on the way. There are still frustrations, for example Meliodas pervy moments and how Elizabeth is often just a plot device instead of her own character. But it's often fairly entertaining shonen rump, everyone is ridiculously powerful but still somehow the battles are quite exciting and the pacing of the story is good. Art style is alright, some of the landscapes are admirably detailed, as are armours and such.

And we are back with tons of action and a great story development.
This volume is definitely used as a transaction to a new part of the main story!

This volume contains the conclusion of Gowthar’s first appearance and the start of the final stretch of the first arc. Secrets and dastardly plans are revealed in between intense action sequences. Buckle up boys and girls, cuz this roller coaster is speeding up and won’t stop until the end!
In the beginning, we get to see into some of Meliodas’s past and more into his character. Then during the last bit of Gowthar’s appearance there’s a nice moment between Meliodas and Elizabeth. Honestly, I wish that there were more of these moments and a little less action, but alas I don’t think that’ll really happen. At the end of the battle with the Armor Giant we see some into Gowthar’s personality. It seems like his character is going to be a rocky one and that there will be tons of room for growth. After a nice little drunk bonding session we immediately get thrown into the next round of fights that will eventually lead to the final battle of this arc. Everyone converges on the capital and bodies begin to fly, and at the very end we get introduced to King Arthur and his mysterious companion. At the very end is a nice little bonus short story centered around Gowthar, which adds a little fluff to his character and serves as a nice little break before punches really start swinging. If you haven’t picked this volume up yet then get this one and the next two, because this final sequences of battles will span the next few volumes and I’m sure will be super intense!

Is it sad that I can totally imagine how Gowthur sounds just from the font used in his dialogue? Not complaining, mind you, just throwing that out there...

Anyway, more action-packed fun that feels so much more lighthearted than previous volumes. Gowthur's introduction was great, I'm glad we finally have a dead-pan character to balance out the chaotic dysfunction that is the rest of the Sins. Ban is best boy, as usual, and learning that he once got completely wasted, stole Diane and King's strength, did 100,000 push-ups, then passed out was hilarious and totally believable on his part. Elizabeth gets kidnapped for the...what are we up to? Second, third time? I can't keep track, but I'm willing to overlook that because the ending teased the introduction of a nation and King Arthur! Now we KNOW this is a true high-fantasy adventure series, am I right?!

The manga that was turned into the anime of the same name, volume 8. This book covers the same material as the rest of episode 14 and the entirety of episodes 15 and 16.

Other than the changes necessary because Gowther's story was vastly different between the books and the show there are very few differences.

Some questions were answered - possibly. The reason Ban's injury at the hands of the captain all those years ago caused a scar was because he was using one of his abilities - Enchant Hellblade. Or so it appears.

We get a full layout of the inside of the Boar Hat Tavern including sleeping arrangements. Gowther doesn't need to sleep (or so it seems likely) But he still needs somewhere to go when the others are sleeping and he is given the attic which is full of storybooks for some reason. Possibly because Meliodas knew eventually he would need somewhere to put Gowther?

Gowther is what keeps this from being a 5.5 for me. I don't really like him as a character.

However, the plot is thickening!!! We're finally getting to a point where the rivalling factions are playing their hands and we can see what is at stake for everybody. And the ending with Arthur is just an immaculate reveal to build up anticipation for the next one.

We also see a really interesting moral dilemma when it comes to Dale and how to treat him. At first I thought this was another instance of making Ban seem cartoonishly evil, but it's actually a really fair point he brings forward.

Very excited for the next one.

In this volume, we discover more about the world. The reader finds out there is an artifact called the Coffin of Eternal Darkness that seals the demon race. We also discover a little bit about Meliodas past and his former lover Liz. In this part, Elizabeth is kidnapped by Vivian and our characters need to go to Liones to save her.

Absolutely love the anime so figured I would give the manga a shot, and boy was I half I did. The manga is, in my opinion, far superior to the already outstanding anime. If you like the anime and story of The Seven Deadly Sins, give the manga a go, you won't be sorry.

we got to know Gowther in this volume and the real character of his, unlike what was shown in the last parts of the previous volume. Where he was depicted as a nice cheerful character, but in reality he is an emotionless creature.

Not a massive fan of Gowther (mainly later on in the series) but I do like him at the start, his secret reveals were quite funny.

The last few pages really sets up the next section which is such a big one in the context of the series, can't wait!
