'Things are not what they seem to be. Jay and the world were lied to. The Aliens are not God, but what, who are they? Or will it be enough to cause her demise? Deception, Lies, False Friends, and Secrets... Is their faith strong enough? When it matters, who will fall and who will stand the test of time? Who will remain true? Is this the Biblical downfall of Man?'
Angela Fattig spent most of her childhood reading any book she could find. That's when her passion of writing was born. When she was 10, she started writing short stories and poems and kept quite a collection.
In 1998, she met Paul and they have shared a life together for 15 years. In 1999, she introduced the world to her first born, Brandi, and again in 2000, Sarah.
Today, when she is not doing what she loves, writing, she spends time with her beautiful family and the addition of two dogs named Izzy and Herly.
Angela's inspirations have always been Stephen King and Poe.
Dr Jay WInder, Dr Mandi Stevens and a whole host of others find themselves at the mercy of aliens. However, they are not aliens, but what are they?? Can Jay save them? Can Mandi's secret save her?
As I said in the review for book one, I upgraded that from 3 after reading this and here is why.
EDITING! It is shocking the amount of times I hightlighted wrong uses of your/you're, there/their and too/to. Also, through much of the book, the words 'God' and 'Lucifer' appear like that, with the marks. Even when God was talking about Lucifer and vice versa. WHY?? I understand why in the beginning, when it became clear these were not aliens, but God and Lucifer and the end of the world was nigh, but this really wasn't necessary for much of the book.
The story took a religious turn here, and to me, put me off. There was too much "having to believe". This is also why its shelved on both the sci-fi AND paranormal shelf.
I DID like that while we were hearing the "views from within" it became clearer who was talking, indeed, the chapters were headed for some characters, but not all.
As bad as the editing is, I am intrigued as to how this is going to end (well I have a good idea, just not what will happen!) and that is the only reason it gets 3 fangs.
Reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock
I was given this book for an honest review. I liked that this book was very fast paced and action packed. It seemed to flow from scene to scene very well. Once again, the point of view was from Dr. Jay Winder but also gives the point of view of Henry, Steve, Lucifer and Emma. The story continues where book one has ended with the world under attack. Lucifier is trying to gain control and Jay is the key. Jay and Mandi have fallen in love and the future of mankind is on them. There continues to be many twists and turns in the plot so the reader has to be careful in making assumptions. I am looking forward to the conculsion of this trilogy. I commend the author for taking such risks in this trilogy,
This is the second book in Angela Fattig's Invasion Trilogy. I recommend reading them all in order. The Serpent Exposed was action packed and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Angela changed things up big time in this book, taking it in a totally different direction then I thought it was going to go, and I love the new direction she chose. I can't wait to find out how it all ends!
OMG WHAT CAN I SAY!!Ms Fattig has done it again!!!! i rec'd an ARC from the author, Angel Fattig in exchange for an honest opinion. This is mousieys very honest opinion of "THE SERPENT EXPOSED:IS THIS THE BIBLICAL DOWNFALL OF MAN?". This is the next book in the trilogy of her Invision series. In her book WE ARE NOT ALONE, we learned that there are aliens in space watching us. And that they plan on attacking us . Now in the second book our characters find out alot more about them. Jay and Mandi have gotten closer together - also Jay finds out that his father is actually the General. His mother was an alien. OMG - could you believe that one ?? He accepts it with no problem. Could you accept that knowledge with no problem?? I know I would have a problem with it, But Jay being a scientist understands thats after listening to all the information and especially after what Steven and Harry have to say its true. So everyone sets about trying to stop the alien attack .. But someone is giving them inside information. Not only that - but is it possible that the aliens might not be actual aliens at all. But rather fallen angels - the devil himself?? This story has so many twist and turns in it. You don't expect the ending like it does. Not only that it ends in a cliff hanger. You have to read the next book in the trilogy to see what happens. The way Ms Fattig writes is truly amazing . She has a gift with words that makes you feel like you are right there in the story taking part. You are able to see the scenes being played out right before your eyes. I reccomend this book for all especially for paranormal sci fi readers. As for mousieys rating - I give it a over all firm 45 out of 5 stars. Mae sure you go and get your copy of it today!! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS TO READING THIS BOOK AT ALL!!
A Gripping Sequel *** WOW! What can I say… Following Jay and Mandi on this amazing journey of discovery and realization, and experiencing the rollercoaster ride of their lives, is exhilarating!
To see them encounter the strife and how they handle every obstacle they come by, along with meeting the new characters is invigorating. You can’t help but feel compassion for these characters and I believe that connecting the emotions of the reader to the characters it is a very important trait in order for a novel to succeed.
Jay and Mandi, along with the others, have grown incredibly into their characters. New insights to their backgrounds gives the reader a greater understanding for their actions and efforts.
Invasion Trilogy The Serpent Exposed Book 2 is full of surprises and for me, contained the major turning point for the trilogy (really knocked my socks off!!).
It is a stunning continuation from the first novel. But beware it leaves you with a cliffhanger!
