Jacko’s life has been a series of people taking advantage of him that should have protected him and his sister. The only chance he saw to end it was to win a fight for rank contest hosted by a new pack alpha, but a rock to the head stopped that plan cold. Despite not winning the fight, the alpha not only gave him a place in the pack, but also rescued his little sister from his evil mother.
Lavi and Van are vampire elders and the sight of them makes Jacko’s wolf pant. They are everything he’s ever wanted and so out of his league, but they are just what he needs to protect his sister. It doesn’t take long for him to realize the vampires might be his mates, but he isn’t the only one wanting a piece of the hot powerful vampires. Is he strong enough to protect them?
There really is nothing better than a good book and a big mug of tea on a rainy day, which is often needed when considering the wet weather in Wales. She is rarely found without a book of some description on her person and a notebook, she can always be seen scribbling and doodling while lost in thought about sometimes random nonsense or day dreaming about alternate worlds of fiction. Real life may not be much fun but the imagination allows infinite possibilities to be explored and lots of naughty fun too if you're up to the challenge. So in the words of a crazy scientist - I reject your reality and submit one of my own. Happy reading.
This one started out better than the last and I was enjoying it. But around 50% it took a turn for the bizarre and stupid. I love a good OTT book but this one at 50% was OVER-THE-TOP OTT. I mean seriously? . Really? You couldn't come up with something more original than that? And don't even get me started on the ex drama...not one but two exes still living in the coven and one done gone and caused a bunch of useless drama.
I suspect my stomach is about stopped up with all the cheese I've ingested lately...maybe I've had my fill. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Wow, had a hard time to finish this one. I didn't feel any chemistry between the MCs too, it's about lust , bond and mating, but no love imo. Too much sex (with confusing positions) and the plot near the end just didn't make sense.
strong 2.5 stars but just don't know if I'm comfortable with 3...
I somehow managed to get another mmm threesome book... this one was not a well written one for me. It's entertaining in a way but some things are over the top () and then the drama at the end didn't make sense. The plot behind the kidnapping is to get bad blood into Lavi? And he's willing to die to do it? Most selfish jerks won't go that far. So I'm thinking I missed something.. something just didn't click for me.
Now, as far as mating.. The boys are certainly willing to try any and all positions. Plus in their favor. But I had a hard time feeling the connection between the three of them, hence not a good one for me. On the other hand I can't fault the thoughtfulness of the boys with Jacko, seeing as he was used and abused.. mixed feelings for me.
I’m always up for a good M/M/M story, especially when it’s in the paranormal category. In this case, we’ve got two vampires and one wolf shifter (okay, half wolf, half human…but still with most of the same attributes as a full shifter). With a bit of excitement and two vampire elders who have been around a long, long…….long time, this story adds some interesting elements to the Blood Moon Pack Alliance series.
Vampire Elders Van and Lavi are intelligent and strong, and their real identities make for an interesting backstory (sorry, not going to tell you, gotta tease you a bit you know). Jacko is a very young wolf—so young that at times his character comes across as almost immature and child-like. This provides quite the contrast with Van and Lavi, but interestingly enough this matchup actually works well.
I did feel like this story went a bit fast and could have benefited by expanding the length and going into more detail. It felt like there was something missing to me, which is why my rating is 3 stars for this second book of the series. I do love the characters quite a lot, and am looking forward to them coming up again in this series. 18+ for adult language and M/M/M sexual content.
Well, this story was all over the place... let's see if I can get this straight...
Started off as a 2 star read... then bounced up to a 4 star read... And then it just got confusing and convoluted... *headdesk* :(
So, I am giving it 3 stars, which I rarely do... but I am NOT giving up... I am hoping that this series will go more smoothly as it progresses. *crosses fingers and toes* ;p
Let me finish by saying that I loved Rose and Jacko! Van and Lavi were growing on me... it was close, but the author missed the mark on this one, in my humble opinion. It happens. *shrug*
I haven’t ever read an S.A. Welsh book so this series was a new one for me all around. Shifters and vampires and true mates all in one story? Yes please! The overarching storyline is about Remy finding himself in charge of his pack after fighting his Alpha and finding out he’s been an Alpha all along but his mother hid the fact from him to protect him. With good cause since his Alpha was not a good guy. Each book is about Remy trying to solve the poison that has been given to the vampires from an unknown source and the poison given to the wolves of his pack from the previous Alpha. It’s also about him coming into his own as an Alpha with the help of his family and inner circle around to help. There’s good guys, bad guys, and love.
Remy is a wolf shifter who likes and has made a living out of fixing up cars, a very good living. He suddenly finds himself in the middle of a huge change for himself and the pack he has always lived in, the pack he suddenly is the Alpha of. Then finding out that the wounded vampire his old Alpha wanted him to kill is his mate...Remy life has turned upside down! With each book we get to see another mated pair find each other plus watch as they each wade through the dangers the previous pack Alpha Trevor is creating. As the books go one the danger gets worse because they find that those they thought would have their back in fact do not. Remy needs to work fast to put his inner circle of betas, enforcers, and seconds i place as soon as he can because danger is coming and they need to be prepared.
All the characters are pretty well fleshed out and their true mate stories are on the side of sweet and sultry. One for the plus column is that the characters don’t just fall immediately for their true mate every time. They each have passed hurts that make it hard to trust, or or don’t trust anyone but their own species, or past resentments coming up to bite them on the butt. Whatever the issue they have to work through it while fighting an outside source trying to kill not just their Alpha but them as well. The books are on the shorter side each taking about 3 hours to read but although you wish they were longer it's not because the authors doesn’t give you a solid story.
I did have some issues with some of the smexy times and the use of “vampire speed”. It was overused in all the mating with vampires and is truly one thing I find hard to visual as sexy. And for my own personal preference as much as I LOVE sex in a book there were times throughout the series I felt it was too much a focus especially in the fifth book of the series “What’s Your Poison?” when they finally do figure the poison out. I would’ve liked to get to see more about Jake even though it was awesome to see the mates get to fully mate. And I suspect that there will be a future book for him that I will definitely be reading!!

Summary:
As Jacko and his sister Rose's past abuse at the hands of their mother was revealed, I was amazed that he had the courage to try and fight for a place in Alpha Remmy's pack to protect Rose. IT is always inspiring when someone puts someone else's needs ahead of their own, but in this case it brought Jacko in contact with Lavi and Van, tow vampire elders, who may just change Jacko's life. The abuse Jacko endured made it difficult for him to stand up for himself let alone allow anyone close to him. Levi and Van's quiet acceptance and loving regard went along way to help Jacko to heal, but it took tragedy to have him understand what he wanted. The mystery regarding how the vampire blood supply was tainted and how to repair the damage is left to be revealed. This book took off form the start and never let up keeping the reader riveted until the very end.
3.5 Stars ~ After thoroughly enjoying the first book in this series I was excited to jump into Jacko, Lavi, and Van's story. Jacko had already captured my heart at the end of Remy and Skylar's tale, and I was really rooting for him to get the happiness he truly deserves. After years of dealing with his evil mother and protecting his younger, human, sister, Jacko needs to be the first priority in someone's life. Lucky for him, he captured two vampire elders’ attention.
Jacko is still reeling in shock that a strong alpha like Remy let him into his pack, and risked his life to go save his little sister from his mom. I had already discovered in the previous installment that Remy is unlike most alpha wolves, due mainly to growing up and never being told he was an alpha, thus sparing him from the arrogance and conceit that most of them grow up having an abundance of. Remy is as democratic as you're ever going to find in a werewolf and Jacko is coming to realize how lucky he is to have found a home.
Jacko almost broke my heart. What he suffered at his mother's hands and the men she sold him to was a horrific betrayal and a disgusting version of a mother's love. When Lavi and Van show interest in wanting to court Jacko he's so confused. He wasn't raised in a pack and doesn't know protocol or even the basics of being a submissive wolf. It was so sweet to watch these three men mate and find love.
I definitely enjoyed the mystery portion of the plot revolving around who was behind the poisoning of vampire elders. I will admit, though, that my overall pleasure in this story was weakened due to inconsistencies that cropped up. However, I adored Jacko, and I really liked the little twist the author threw at me regarding the real names of Lavi and Van. The ending was a little over the top but I went with it for its creativity. A fun and easy read with hot men, and it doesn't get much better than that.
Second book of the series and we see a mmm grouping. This didn't bother me at all I liked Jacko in the first book. His disappointment when he lost the fight but then happiness when accepted into the pact anyway endeared him to me. In this one we find out more of his painful past. He desire to protect his sister Rose was great to see. He knew he wasn't going to be fully capable but he never let it stop him. He also asked for help when needed from his alpha, when getting Rose out of the home situation. His internal dialogue at times was good comic relief especially when Van and Lavi could hear it all. I loved Van and Lavi. I loved watching them soften when around Jacko and Rose. I also like he care they took with Jacko, knowing his past. It was still probably a little bit fast, it at least there was some thought process from Jacko involved, not just they are my mates so my past is no longer going to hurt me. He was still, worried about the sex, but they progressed up to it. I also loved watching Jacko gain confidence in himself and his fierce protecting of his mates once he became sure of the mate bond.
Jacko made his appearance in the first book, when he tried out for a place in Remy's Inner Circle, but was knocked out. He still decided to stay with Remy though, especially when Remy said he would save his sister. We find out that Jacko's life has been anything but easy, and the same for his sister. Lavi and Van show up whilst Jacko is at the hospital, and from that moment on, things take a steamy turn.
I loved how neither Lavi or Van pushed Jacko, they were prepared to go at his pace and only do what he was comfortable with. Considering his history, this was the only way for them to move forward, and it worked. The mystery surrounding Trevor, Jacko's mum Linda, plus however many others is slowing coming to light. With appearances of Remy and Skylar too, this series is still going strong.
Exceedingly well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, I can definitely recommend it.
* I received this book from Signal Boost Promotions in return for a fair and honest review. *
Jacko has lived a very hard life, so when given the opportunity to save his sister, he jumps for it. Now that his sister is safe, he has to cope with the fallout, and finding not just his mate but both his mates.
I really liked Jacko, he endured a lot but it doesn’t stop him from being a great character still willing to fall in love. Lavi and Van are the perfect mates for him, they are patient, strong enough to defend him and his sister, and are willing to do anything to protect and claim Jacko.
Some of the storyline continued from the first book, and while this could be read on its own, I really liked that I already knew all the major players and little details about the bigger story arc.
I look forward to reading more in this series, the author has created an interesting world, with some very fun to read characters. I will be looking for more books by this author.
I enjoyed this book like I did the 1st one.. And the story line is coming together nicely.. There still needs to be more character development .. I know the characters but it needs to be more.. With this series in my opinion you need to know the secondary characters as well.. So when the next book comes out your excited.. Like in the Assisian shifter series and the brac pack series you can't wait for more because you fall in love with the characters and want to know who their mates will be.. This series lacks that but I see the potential .. This author is getting there so 4 stars just for that!
OK I Do NOT like MMM or menage books in general. I have no idea why I took a chance on this book but I did. Probably bc I loved the first book and this book actually sounded so good so I took the plunge! O m g it was good! I actually really really liked it! The only part I didn't like was the unfinished mating on the vampire side. I feel like the scent issue should have been resolved so the book could have a real closing. I think it was totally feasible and that's the reason I couldn't give 5 stars. I hate an unfinished mating!!
The story gets better as it unfolds, and the writing itself has definitely gotten better.
I'm still deciding on if I think it's cool who Van amd Lavi really are as those are some of my favorite vampire stories.
I realize Jacko has a past and is broken, but I didn't really feel the intenseness of it, maybe because things are happening so fast? I'm not sure but it feels like it's only one layer when there is the potential for multiple. Hopefully it'll come out a little more throughout the series
This was 6 books in this series which features all m/m or m/m/m love journeys of paranormal vampires and wolves. There is a lot of sexy scenes involving blood exchange, biting, body transformations and of course love. The books are explicit. The writing had a good flow to it. They was definitely cross over of characters in each book. The books can be read as stand alones but it is better to read the books in order of series.
I enjoyed this better than the first; more chemistry. I don't usually like ménage but this was done better than most. I am guessing this will continue to wrap up the storyline but I am not sure who will be next.
Nice book, nice guys. The plot is getting sillier and sillier, so I thought I would take a break from this series for a bit. The author clearly has a longer plotline going on through the books, but she isn't good at sign posting it, and some of the coincidences are just ridiculous.
The setting and the character Jacko were interesting, but I wasn't enthralled byr the writing. A surprise regarding the two vampires didn't work for me. Not as strong as the first entry in the series.
Love this book and fell in love with Val , Lavi and Jacko. The only issue I have is that it was too darn short and I have to wait and see if S.A welsh will be adding to this seires.
