Double or Nothing

Andy's Avengers used to be the winning team for every pub quiz held at the White Lion, Arreton, on the Isle of Wight. It was all good natured fun, and the money raised went to the local hospice.
But then Danny's Dynamo's came along, and Andy's winning streak vanished. Andy doesn't like losing, especially to someone as sexy as Danny. Not that he's about to ask Danny out. The Dynamo's team captain is straight.
But when Andy's mate suggests he has a bet with Danny on the outcome of the next quiz, Andy decides to take a huge risk - with unexpected consequences.....

I'll be honest, I grabbed this book as a filler, 25 pages to easily read before my 8pm Buddy Read. What this book wasn't at all was filler. I really, really liked this. I would have loved for this to have been a full length story. So cute and so sweet. Bah, who said 25 pages can't tell a story? Read.

This was kind of adorable for something so short. I wanted more from these two but I was satisfied that their story had been told (at least the beginning) at the same time.

Quick, short yet delightful read! One MC lusting after a straight friend. The "straight" friend isn't sure he's straight after all. Sweet story of a first time and a hopeful HFN ending.

This was every bad gay cliché known to me rolled into one short story that I should have skipped.

Friendly rivals at the pub quiz, 2 men, one gay, the other a little questioning. They make a bet on who wins next time and the game is on. As usual with this author we get a short but very entertaining tale.

Very sweet. Andy and Danny were so likable and relatable. If this were a longer, full-length novella or novel, it would be an excellent read.

Unfortunately a bit short but K.C. Wells shows that a good story can be told in 25 pages as well. :3
I liked the idea of the plot, it was - of course - a bit rushed but the developement wasn't unlogical or implausible.
I really love that the two men are so connected to each other, it's really a pity we don't get a full story from them. xD
