NEW YORK TIMES/USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR

Even though she graduated with a degree in science, Tara knew she’d never be happy doing anything other than writing. Specifically, writing love stories.

She started with a racy BDSM story and found she was not quite prepared for the unforeseen impact it would have. Nonetheless, she continued and The Submissive Series novels would go on to be both New York Times and USA Today Bestsellers. One of those, THE MASTER, was a 2017 RITA finalist for Best Erotic Romance.

Now she is focusing on new contemporary romances that allow her the freedom to write and publish on her own schedule.

Nathaniel and Abby are getting married in a month and Abby throws out a little spin and surprisingly, Nathaniel accepts it. Now, if they can only make it until their wedding and the honeymoon!

With the first three books, I've grown to really enjoy all the little things that make Nathaniel and Abby's relationship so special. I was really looking forward to the wedding and honeymoon.

description

The problem is their romantic connection is missing. We get a start of something and then it just putters out. Instead, we get a whole lot of sex and a whole lot of their Dom/sub relationship...and it's a part that I'm not exactly thrilled about. I just don't think I like that Nathaniel and Abby seems to need that relationship more and more.

I thought it was great where they went and what Nathaniel gave Abby but there wasn't much else to the story.

Next up is The Enticement of which there is an excerpt at the end of this novella. I did read a bit and that along with the blurb has me intrigued. I hope it gets things back on track.

Dang this was very well written. I won't lie, I never heard of the series. It is not one that I would normally pick-up for a romance. Just I was in a mood for some spice and this book did not fail to deliver.

It is a short read, a simple read, and not much story to be honest but you still got a good sense of the characters and their relationship. This is a book a bit more into the series and even though I haven't read any of the other books in the series, I felt like I knew Nathaniel and his Submissive wifes relationship well.

This was really well done and the spice delivery is by far on par. 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

This was a fun little addition to the series and it was nice to see Abby and Nathaniel in their happily ever after. These two have come such a long way and it was so nice to see them happy. The story is pretty much all fluff and sexy times, so plot wise don’t expect much, but if you are a fan of this series I really think you’ll enjoy this one.

Abby and Nathaniel have really grown and their relationship has gotten so strong. They have learned to combine their Dom/sub relationship with their everyday one. I really liked seeing them happy. They both deserved it after everything they had been through. The story was just very quick and very fun. It delivered some incredibly sweet moments and it also delivered some incredibly steamy moments. As expected, the steam was off the charts but I also love that it’s not just steamy, you can really tell how much these two love each other.

All in all, The Chalet was a good read. I was a bit hesitant because at the end of The Training Abby and Nathaniel were happy and I didn’t think they needed more to their story. However, in the end I am glad I was able to see their wedding and honeymoon, which turned out to be perfect for them and was exactly how it should have been. I am now really looking forward to The Enticement.

I so enjoyed the Submissive Trilogy, so I was so excited to see that we were going to have more of Nathaniel and Abby. I enjoyed seeing the events surrounding their wedding and honeymoon. If you have not read the previous books in this series, start with them.

Meh...

I expected a bit more. All the words were there, but it felt a bit vanilla to me.

There is still something about the writing that I still enjoy.

This is a story that I just needed to finish off this pair in the series. I absolutely adored seeing them get married and their honeymoon. I also really liked the way that they work through more BDSM aspects and there is some great growth in their relationship that is surprising considering how short this book is. You get plenty of hot scenes though as well. So this was a fun treat to get another look into this couple and seeing them together more. I have really loved the way that their dynamic has been written.

The story starts off with Abby saying she wanted to not do anything the month before her and Nataniel's wedding. I really was not expecting them to make it, but they did. I am so excited they got married, and really am glad I get more of them in other books. I was laughing my way through the while book. Especially when Abby and Felisha start taking about BDSM in a freaking church.

When I read that Tara Sue Me planned on continuing Abby and Nathaniel's story with two more books I was so excited. I really wasn't ready to let this couple go and I was intrigued to see how their relationship would develop beyond their engagement.
We had traveled so far, crossed so many miles to get to this point. Yet I knew within my heart that the twisted path we had taken to reach this day had been worth every minute, every heartbreak.
I loved "The Chalet" and even more so because this story stayed true to the characters. Abby and Nathaniel's wedding and honeymoon was entirely how I imagined it to be: beautiful, romantic and kinky. And I just adored the Alps setting for the honeymoon. It sounded truly perfect.

The couple's relationship continued to be sweet and loving and also extremely erotic. They really had the best of both worlds. As you would expect from Abby and Nathaniel, the honeymoon was filled with both romantic and tender moments and some hot and spicy scenes that had my temperature soaring! My favorite scene involved a floor to ceiling picture window overlooking the snowy peaks. It was so hot that I'm sure that snow was about to melt away!! Lucky Abby!!
"I wish there were people outside. So they could watch me fuck you."

It was interesting to see how Abby and Nathaniel chose to incorporate their Dom/Sub lifestyles into their honeymoon. I am glad that Tara Sue Me decided to write those scenes into the story. It wouldn't have been the right honeymoon for the, if this part of their relationship was overlooked.

It was a pleasure to see how Abby and Nathaniel have made their relationship work and how far they've come as a couple. Nathaniel remained the most perfect Dominant. If I was to choose any Dominant from any book, I think that Nathaniel would be right at the top of my list. I also loved how much Abby changed from those early days in their relationship. She really grew in confidence in her role as a Submissive.

Abby and Nathaniel have made the ideal partnership up to now and I can't wait to find out what the future holds for them now that they're married. At the end of this book I got a sneaky peak of "The Enticement". The final novel from the series. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait to read the rest!

Tara Sue Me has delivered a perfect addition to the series with "The Chalet". Although it was a novella I found that it was longer than I expected, which was a bonus. Often novella's are only a few chapters but it was not the case with this book. "The Chalet" took me a good of couple of hours to finish and it was well worth the read.

If you are fan of "The Submissive" Series then would I recommend reading this? Hell, yes. It's a no brainier!! You will not want to miss out!!
"My soul is complete with you."
"And mine has finally found a home."

For me "The Chalet" was everything I wanted from Abby and Nathaniel's wedding and honeymoon and for that reason it gets 4.5 beautiful hearts.

When I found out that Tara Sue Me would be adding more to Nathanial and Abby's story I literally jumped for joy! I love the dynamic between these two and how through their series they have figured out how to live as lovers and also as Dom and sub.

"My soul understood yours the very first time I saw you. It called out to yours softly, saying 'One day, we will be complete in each other.'"

The Chalet focuses on Abby and Nathanial's wedding and honeymoon and the preparations that lead up to them. Abby proposes to Nathanial that they abstain from sex for thirty days before the wedding, thinking that this will make the wedding night that much more passionate and explosive. I'm not sure how their sex life could get any more passionate and explosive than it is already, but reading how they are each individually coping with this abstinence was very entertaining!

The wedding itself is beautiful and the reception held in a gorgeous venue but is cut short by a winter storm that causes the couple to leave earlier than planned to start their honeymoon in the majestic Swiss Alps. The honeymoon is steamy, the sex is hot and the couple can't get enough of each other. What I was impressed with is how the author describes the scenery surrounding Nathanial and Abby and how it plays into the passion and emotions they feel while they are reconnecting sexually after 30 days of abstinence. We also get lots of their inner thoughts and feeling as well, not just a bunch of sex.

I felt completely satisfied with this story. After the epilogue in The Training, a lot of readers wanted so badly to experience the wedding and to find out how Abby and Nathanial's lives have played out in those 6 years that have passed, not their everyday lives, but their lives as Dom and sub. I can't wait until we get our hands on The Enticement and immerse ourselves in more of their beautiful story.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review at The Romance Evangelist.

This review may contain spoilers for the first three books in the Submissive trilogy. You could try to read The Chalet as a standalone, but I wouldn't recommend it.

After all the angst and drama in the romance between Abby King and Nathaniel West, it was almost a relief to have this new novella providing a lighter side of their love now that their happy ending was upon them after all that had gone before. THE CHALET begins just after Abby accepted Nathaniel’s marriage proposal and continues through their steamy honeymoon spent at the title location. Here we get to see an easier rapport between the hero and heroine, one where their D/s relationship becomes a more intrinsic part of their marriage even as they work towards less formality in how they interact on that level.

For me, THE CHALET worked quite well as a snapshot of both pre- and post-married bliss for these two characters who have already been through so much already, There wasn't any real suspense involved, other than whether they could handle not having any sex before their wedding night, and whether impending bad weather would keep them from being able to get to the Swiss chalet for their long-awaited honeymoon. But that was fine by me, and I appreciated this brief but intimate look at how they were able to just relax and enjoy each other without having to worry about some other obstacle threatening their happiness. If you’re a fan of Tara Sue Me’s Submissive trilogy, then THE CHALET is definitely a must read.

I am disappointed. First, there was too much sex and not much if an actual plot. I wanted to read about Nathaniel and Abby on their marriage and honeymoon and not how many times they did the deed and how they did it.

Ok, I know that they were on their honeymoon and it the period where you are supposed to have the most sex, but I wanted to see them working on their problems as a married couple. They have a D/s relationship and after marriage things are going to change one way or another. The marriage ceremony was too quick and they didn't even discuss the possibility of having children.

Which leads me to my next problem. A fourth book, it's on its way and the main characters are going to be Nathaniel and Abby again, this time on how their relationship is working in and out of bed after their children come to this world.

Do Abby and Nathaniel need a fourth book? I don't think do. At least I hope the author will not make them go through some very difficult situations that might lead to a temporary separation.

The Chalet is a quick and hot read full of submission and love! Abby and Nathaniel are finally getting married. FINALLY. Nathaniel’s ready to make this official, even though he knows that she’s always been his. When Abby makes a no sex and no collar for a month before their wedding declaration, Nathaniel’s not pleased…but he sure as hell makes those last few days before the cutoff count. YES, PLEASE.

The wedding was enough to scratch an itch for Abby and Nathaniel…but the honeymoon turned that itch into a full blown need. All bets are off when they arrive at the Swiss Chalet and it is unbelievably hot. I’m surprised they didn’t steam up my kindle screen.

This is one seriously sexy honeymoon. Marriage sex is hotter than ever for Nathaniel and Abby and so is married collared sex. Oh hell yes! Short and kinky, this novella will satisfy your craving for more Nathaniel and Abby but will also leave you begging for more….just the way Nathaniel likes it ;)

This was easily the best book in the series yet, and I cannot wait for the fourth book to come out! I loved diving back into Nathaniel and Abby's world and seeing what was next for them.

There was a few scenes that seemed a bit awkward towards the end in how Abby wanted to figure out things for her and Nathaniel's relationship.

I loved seeing their wedding and seeing some of my favorite characters from the books again. I hope to see more of Felicia and Jackson in the next book, as well as some of the others.

I really have kind of loved seeing how this series has gotten better with each installment overall, with this one being the strongest yet. I cannot wait to continue to read the rest of the series and then pick up her other works.

Loved seeing Nathanial and Abby/Abigail again. This was a great book in the continuation of there relationship. There could have been a little more playroom/collar play. But the teaser chapter for the next book...amazing. Can't wait.

The style is more or less the same as in the earlier books of the Submissive trilogy: the main characters are drinking elegant wines, are reciting poems, reading classical literature, and planning their marriage. The only twist is that at the request of the new bride, they make a vow not to be together for a month. In the spirit of this, the first half of the short novel is a love-romantic passion with alternating points of view, which is annoying, because Nathaniel's figure is extremely out of character.
A month passes slowly, and then, according to the script of romantic movies, obstacles roll in front of the lovers. But then, in the second half of the story, comes the real, soft BDSM story, which we are already used to from Tara Sue Me. This is a closing bonus after the trilogy, although these characters appear again and again in the writer's later books. A pleasant, easy read.

After a month-long self-imposed period of abstinence, Nathaniel and Abigail celebrate their honeymoon. Friends warned them that it would lead to a very brief interlude. Of course, Nathaniel has way too much control to accidentally fall to such low expectations. On the other hand, pun intended, they both meet the challenge of satisfying one another within 5 minutes. The tone of the rest of the honeymoon is agreed upon by the newlyweds, “We should make wicked and decadent the theme for our honeymoon.” They start coming to terms about their non-collared time together and incorporating both Nathaniel’s dominant side and Abigail’s submissive side – less rules but still a lot of seriously hot sex. This book is so hot that it will make you desperate for a romantic getaway.

I honestly wasn't as much of a fan of this short story. It was nice to see Nathaniel and Abby tie the knot but I felt like somewhere between the Training and the Chalet we lost some of the characterization. The characters seemed to be lacking and 2D in this novella. I wonder if that was more due to the length. Also there's not as much steaminess and sentimentality in this novel as there was in the previous novels. Not one of my favorites but a nice glimpse at what their wedding and honeymoon was like. Also, the dynamics change just a bit in the relationship which seems to be foreboding for things to come.

Overall I would give this story a solid 3 stars.

A riveting mystery book with lots of past, hidden connections between the characters. It was interesting to the unravelling of their intertwined lives. I'm a huge fan of parallel narratives because it only makes the story more captivating. In this case, the author makes use of fractured tandem and although it can be confusing how the initial (past) characters play a part in the present timeline story, the author does an incredible job blending it all together. I was a bit disappointed in the ending because I expected something more climactic given the way the author revealed a vengeful character. This was a story that could've been a fiver but unfortunately, fell short at the very end.

This was an adorable and quick read!

But - I was honestly thinking that the majority of the book would be how Nathaniel and Abby managed to get thru a month without sex. Boy was I wrong! That lasted like 15 pages in the book including the wedding and then boom - they are at the chalet having amazing sex 🤣

The book was good and I loved how again, the theme to their love was trust before pleasure. Those the punishment scene when she didn’t adhere to one of his rules again had me clutching my nonexistent pearls 👅🥵 Very spicy scenes in only 127 pages!

**4 Wedding Present, Stars**

It’s been a minute since I’ve read any part of this series, and this was a nice little trip down memory lane with Nathaniel and Abby.

You don’t realize you miss some characters until you catch back up with them, and wow. This one didn’t disappoint. Planning a wedding in record time, the honeymoon of her dreams…and a wedding present like no other.

Couple that with the witty banter and dirty talk…all the YES.

Abby & Nathaniel’s wedding from the Submissive Series. It focuses more on the honeymoon in a Swiss chalet. It’s a short read with a lot of sex. They are deciding how to manage their D/s relationship with their regular lives. Maybe should have thought of that before the wedding, but whatevs. All in all, a good story without much of a plot that gives us an update to the original trilogy.
