Sweet Clara had everything planned out for her. She was about to get her English degree, get a job as a high school teacher, and someday hopes to meet Mr. Right and settle down and have 2.3 kids, just like Mama always wanted.

But Mama didn't count on Finch to rock his way right into Clara's life.

I love the new adult genre and combining it with vampires just made it even better. There's a love triangle in here and both guys are loveable. As usual one just makes more sense to be with than the other, but the other is the one her heart really wants. There is an unexpected cliffhanger here that breaks one guys heart and gives the other one hope. To be with her love she will have to give up on her dreams for the future and a promise she made her dying mother. Is love worth all that? Hopefully there will be a book out soon that lets us know the answer to that for this character.

Not bad..

Not bad..

this isn't that bad of a book. even though Clara is so weak sounding. so timid. she gets two hot guys who want her and I don't see how. but by the end of the book she finally gets some balls it seems. thank goodness because I really can't stand when women act like that. and love doesn't happen over night so when it does in this story I kinda roll my eyes and hope someone gets stabbed or cheated on soon because they what's a story without a little drama huh!!

Had potential to be great story. Liked the premise - but the writing was stilted, not a smooth flow. And the character speech was not "real", too formal.
But I enjoyed the quick love story between Finch and Clara. And enjoyed Gardner making an appearance to create the love triangle. Looming forward to the next one.. :)

this book was good another immortal triangle between human vampire and vampire slayer. the book has romance action and sadness at the end of the book you will need a box of tissues
