KC you’ve done it again!

I have no freaking words to explain how hood Shattered Moonlight is. I’ve loved every excruciatingly painful page. Usually, the second books in a series are a bridge to get to the final act, but this one was so well written, the story so compelling that you just had to go back for one more chapter.

The story picks up not long after the events of book 1, when Isaac managed to get Bryar under his thrall. We see how Bryar reacts to every command issued by Isaac, and how these are meant to sow mistrust and distractions. And, if you’ve read the blurb, you know that Kane’s old girlfriend reappears. Will Bryar’s jealousy complicate their relationship? Will Isaac’s plan succeed in tearing Bryar and Kane’s love apart?

You just need to wait a few more days to find out and you won’t regret it.

Thank you NetGalley and KC Harper for the ARC, all opinions are my own.

The CHOKEHOLD this book has on me.

I loved Shadowed Moonlight and I thought there was no way Harper could top it. I. Was. Wrong.

This book is easily my favorite. It sucked me in from page one and didn’t let me breathe until the end. For the life of me, I couldn’t guess what would happen next. I was either audibly gasping, exclaiming, “WHAT?”, or sighing with happiness because … well, KANE. (IYKYK)

These characters are so lifelike that I was white-knuckling my kindle at times. Kane? Bry? How could I possibly love them more? To finish this book is to grieve having to part with them until the next book releases.

Favorite book I’ve read this year. Hands down.

I am FERAL for SM3 (Pun intended).

Thank you to the publishers and Netgalley for approving me to read this book, I’m rating it 4.0 stars.

Reading the follow on from book 1 was a good time, I really wanted to see where the story would go. I do feel like book 2 was more chaotic than book 1, just when you think our characters are settled and happy it all just goes up in flames.

I really like our FMC, she’s at the heart of everything and so strong to make it through everything this book as it really tests her. I do like Kane, but I spent the first quarter of the book slightly livid at his choices.

I’m not sure if the story will go onto a book 3, but if it does then I’ll absolutely be trying to read it ASAP.

Shadowed Moonlight was one of my favourite reads of last year so the sequel was one of my most anticipated reads of the year!

Shattered Moonlight exceeded all of my expectations and I loved every second of it. It was so amazing to be back with Kane and Briar and I adored this continuation of their story.

Following the events of the previous book, Briar is compelled by her stepfather Issac and is unable to tell Kane the truth about what happened. To make things worse, Issac is eager to break up their relationship to further his own twisted goals. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, eager for Briar to find a workaround around his compulsion.

KC Harper is such an incredible storyteller and her writing style was so perfect. I loved how certain events came to pass and how everything was slowly revealed.

Shattered Moonlight was such an action packed and exciting sequel. I am VERY eager to read book three, especially after something that was revealed at the end of this book, which made me so happy and very excited!

If you love Ilona Andrews and Suzanne Wright, then you will absolutely devour this series!

Thank you so much to Hodderscape and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not sure what kind of crack the author has put into this series but I can’t get enough. After finishing book one, I was obsessed with the need to get back to theses characters so of course I dropped everything to read this one as soon as I could.
Even though I hate the miscommunication trope, this one had parameters that made it okay for me. Some scenes provoked by it were heartbreaking and I have to admit I wondered if I would be able to bear reading a whole book of this, but it was soon really balanced by the fact that Briar fights back and the friendships she shares with the people who are in the same boat is one of the best things in this book.
Also, I would like to declare my undying love for Joaquin, who is, by far, the smartest of the bunch.
Although I haven’t heard anything about a third book yet, I’m really hoping there will be one, because even if the author doesn’t leave us on a cliffhanger, this story isn’t finished yet. I really can’t wait.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (3.75/5)
Shattered Moonlight picks up right where the first left off, throwing Briar and Kane into even deeper danger, darker secrets, and more emotional chaos. The stakes are higher, the magic stronger, and the romance even more intense—with just the right amount of spice.

Briar’s inner conflict between duty and heart was gripping, and Kane’s position as Alpha adds real weight to their choices. The reappearance of Kane’s ex definitely stirs things up and keeps the tension high.

Fast-paced, angsty, and full of magic and betrayal—I’m fully invested. Bring on book three!

I absolutely LOVE these books. This wraps up so nicely. The plot thickens... and so does Kane. IYKYK!!
Briar is an absolute badass in this book. The twists are incredible. And, of course, the spice is hottttt.
I could not recommend these books enough to my fellow Fantasy/Paranormal Romance lovers!

All I can say is wow!
giving this one 4 stars not because it wasn't good but because there were some moments of this book that made me so physically anxious and stressed that I almost had to force myself to keep going!

The high stakes in this book were unreal, and it felt hopeless for a second there, like I couldn't figure out how everything was going to work out.

I think i said this in my last review of the first book in this series that this is the perfect mix of romance, action, drama, and mystery all in one book!

I'll be counting down the days til the next one comes out!

Book two in The Moonlight series was a great read. I did think the middle of the book felt a bit long but it was fun overall. Just when you think the characters are settled shit hits the fan. This book has spicy and supernatural fun. More ploys and plot to unravel and uncover. How can you not love Kane, but Cassandra was also a favorite character for me! There is a lot of set up for book 3!! Thank you net galley for the book!

The trilogy continues with this second book and once again, I could not put it down. This picks up right where book 1 left off and the mysteries, secrets, twists and turns continue.

I typically don't love the miscommunication trope but this series just does it so freaking well. Once again, my stomach was in knots the entire time but I loved it.

I need the third book STAT!

This will be a book/series I will think about and recommend forever

It was just ok. Most of the book was frustrating. The amount of times "sage" and "shadowed moon" were used was beyond annoying and took off at least a star for that annoyance.

O.m.g. wow this book had my heart in my throat the whole time! I was on the edge of my seat, feeling every single emotion you could. The author did an amazing job at keeping you on the edge of your seat, just begging to know what happened next.

Book 2 starts right where book 1 finishes. (which i always love), You are thrown right back into the story. Bry and Kane and goals, even though the tough times in this book you can just feel the utter love and adoration coming off the pages. Trying not to spoil it with my words, cos you NEED to read this book yourself.

The ending?!?!?!?! IM SORRY not me here just sobbing into my kindle. Good job its waterproof version!! K.C. Harper, I'm in SERIOUS need for book 3 now please?!?! Pretty please with a cherry on the top?!

I would like to thank K.C. Harper for the opportunity to ARC read Shattered Moonlight.

I liked the first book, but I loved the second book.

The second book starts off a few weeks after the first book ends.

The emotional roller coaster that’s was this book had me hanging on for my life. I’m someone that puts themselves in the role of the FMC, and Briar, that poor girl went through such an emotional journey and I felt all of her pain. Briar’s character growth during this book was really well done and her strength as a character really came through in this book.
I love Kane has an MMC but boy was I made at him at some points in this book.

This is a very fast paced book, the plot was well developed and the story moved a long smoothly. There were some interesting plot twists at the end. There is some spice at the beginning and end but the book is very plot forward.

I have some questions that I hope get answered in the third book and I can’t wait to read it to see how the story ends. Book does end of a small cliffhanger but nothing drastic
